A SCOTUS Guide for the Perplexed

As is usual, the Supreme Court saved its most important decisions for the end of this term, and the three biggies were handed down within days of each other: “Bruen (gun rights), Dobbs (abortion rights) and West Virginia (administrative regulation of CO2).” You don’t have to be a constitutional law scholar to wade through all this and the footnotes, citations, and legal disputations. Francis Menton has done it for you: (You can’t rely on the major media to do it. For the most part they share the same ideological viewpoint as that of the three dissenting justices, a view Menton explains very well.)

You can thank God that 45 prevailed in 2016. He insured that SCOTUS would prevail Constitutionally by his three picks to the court. Otherwise SCOTUS would have morphed into another legislative branch of the Government. Just read the dissenters' opinions. We have two more years until another election and God willing another Constitutionalist will prevail and protect SCOTUS and us, we the people, from Government, so far protected by the Bill of Rights. America is blessed that our founders were wise beyond their years and foresaw a Federal Government out of control. America is the greatest country on the face of the earth, but there are those among us that desire tyranny over freedom. God bless America.

FTA: Are you onboard with a country and its economy ruled by unelected bureaucrats given the green light to do so by unelected judges? The country has been onboard with this since Nixon’s Wage and Price controls. Our economy is largely dependent on the Federal Reserve’s control of our money supply. Congress writes laws intending for the “experts” to write implementing regulations with enforcement. So, what Joe is doing is nothing new. He’s moving the country as the UNIPARTY demands.

The decisions recently handed down couldn't be more clear. The Constitution gives certain powers to Congress, states, and the courts. Roe is a states issue. EPA is a Congressional issue. Gun concealed carry is a constitutional issue (which can't be taken away). The Supreme Court returned the authority to where the Constitution says it belongs. They did not take theose powers for themselves or the courts.

The conspiracist in me can’t help but think the dims wanted roe overturned. First, there is the fundraising and sending their followers into apoplectic orbit. Second, the Sup Ct warned of its overturn and yet the abortionist plowed ahead and even told the Ct in their briefs that roe must either upheld in its entirety or completely overturned. Roberts wanted a middle way. Now the issue moves to the state legislatures. It’s a hot button issue. The left will relentlessly assault the state legislatures. They want to gain power there anyway. A part of me wonders if roberts wasn’t right: focus on the reasonableness of when the abortion is permissible- of course that hasn’t worked for 50 years. The state legislatures need to get ready to fend off the assault.

Every motorist cited for speeding knows it would be a waste of time to argue to a judge that the state maximum speed law is ridiculous, The judge would simply say to take it up with the legislature. The court is not there to second-guess the wisdom, practicality, or popularity of legislation. Liberals understand this except when it comes to the Constitution.

Excellent point, #1. And the author says roughly the same thing as a closing sentence: "It was the very same Donald J. Trump, master of the mean tweet, who nominated the justices who are returning this country to a semblance of ordered liberty, respect for the law, and the Constitution." History will show that President Trump has set in motion the processes that saved the nation. We must hold true to the Constitution, and continue to support Trump and those like Trump who would push us back to the Constitution, and all that this country was founded upon.

Jump out of a perfectly good airplane, charge a machine gun nest, be stationed at Ft. Irwin – these are just three of the myriad miseries American patriots are willing to endure to defend our country. But today's military is asking too much of our young people, as evidenced by the crashing recruitment rates that threaten to deplete a military already running short of soldiers. Have our young people suddenly turned from heroes to zeros, ne'er-do-well heirs of the brave warriors who confronted the forces of tyrannical gun control at Lexington and Concord?

It is obvious to the meanest, but still honest, intelligence that Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Org., which returns the question of abortion to the states, in lieu of an imaginary constitutional right, is correctly decided. However, because people were focused on the opinion Justice Alito drafted, too few noticed that the Supreme Court’s leftist justices (Breyer, Kagan, and Sotomayor) explicitly voided the entire Constitution, stating that it is an invalid document that cannot control either the federal government’s structure or the American people’s rights.

As The College Fix dramatically headlines, “Nearly 9 in 10 recent student loan borrowers bet on Biden bailing them out.” Without actually promising or committing anything, Joe Biden has led many young people to believe that the federal government will cancel the loans they take out to finance a college education. A new survey indicates that the lure of borrowing without having to pay back has enticed many youngsters take on debt that they otherwise would not have committed themselves to.

In an act of breathtaking defiance and spitefulness not seen since Southern states engaged in "massive resistance" to the Supreme Court's 1954 Brown v. Board decision, the New York State Legislature gave a middle finger to the Supreme Court and voted Friday to effectively nullify the Court's decision last week in New York State Rifle and Pistol Association v. Bruen. After an extraordinary session for the explicit purpose of defying the Court, Senate Bill S51001 was rammed through on a party-line vote by the Democratic supermajority, passed the Assembly, and received the signature of Gov. Kathleen Hochul.

The United States Has Become Two Countries

Not since the decade leading up to the Civil War has there been as much discussion about the possibility of the United States splitting into two or more countries as there has been in the past 10 years. The reality is that this nation has effectively split into two countries which are, for the moment, tenuously living side-by-side. Race or ethnicity has been the underlying foundation in the creation of every nation in the history of mankind except the United States, as its founding was based on the tenet that all men are created equal and are endowed with certain unalienable rights that government cannot abrogate.
What's With the Democrats' Abortion Obsession? 12 replies

The whole abortion thing kind of baffles me because it is absolutely bizarre that anyone would choose this particular hill to die on or, rather, to kill a bunch of babies on. From a utilitarian angle, it's certainly not a great banner to be carrying because most normal people consider the whole thing horribly distasteful and frankly don't want to think about it. Ideologically, liberals could have gone either way. It's not like they believe in anything. It's not like they had to choose to defend abortion instead of opposing it. They have no problem telling people what they can and can't do as a principle.

The headlines were ominous and the leftist gloating on Facebook was disturbing: It seemed as if the January 6 Committee finally had its smoking gun in the form of an attractive, mid-20s woman named Cassidy Hutchinson. The big excitement came when she recounted a wild tale about President Trump, desperate to get to the Capitol, trying to choke his Secret Service agent as they wrestled for control of Trump’s car, Outside of the kangaroo court, though, actual facts indicate that nothing she said actually happened. The U.S. SCOTUS ruling correcting federal law by returning the issue of abortion back to the states has prompted Black women to become a focal point as leverage for leftist/progressive actions and agitations. If Black women confirmed the KKK wanted them to abort their babies, they'd double down on having as many babies as possible in revolt. If Black women confirmed evil racists wanted to exterminate their race via targeting them for abortion, they would reject and denounce abortions. If Black women confirmed abortion was specifically concocted to enshrine and uphold "White Supremacy,"

Infectious disease experts and public health advocates are warning that the Biden administration has been too slow to respond to the monkeypox outbreak and that the U.S. is at risk of losing control of the disease. The response to monkeypox is mirroring the worst parts of the early days of the coronavirus pandemic, they say, with severely limited testing and a sluggish rollout of vaccines leading to a virus that’s spreading undetected. “Where we have lagged is streamlining testing, making vaccines available, streamlining access to the best therapeutics.(Snip)Unlike COVID-19, monkeypox is not a novel virus, and the strategies to reduce the spread are well known.
