Police in Akron, Ohio, unleashed a wave of tear gas on protesters who gathered outside of the city's main courthouse on Sunday night. Several hundred protesters marched in the city in the hours after the Akron Police Department released the bodycam footage showing the shooting death of 25-year-old Jayland Walker. Walker was killed after being shot at least 60 times by Akron cops following a traffic stop on June 27.

I don't believe that he was shot 60 times. This is intended to cause a riot, not credible.

The video is useless to my untrained eyes. But my ears hear dozens of rounds. At least one cop thought the perp started shooting. Then they all did what they were trained to do.

The only way this law abiding, model citizen, good son, great father, could have been shot sixty times, is if he was shot at point blank range.

You have to get almost all the way through the article before there is any mention of Walker shooting at the police and then the DM only refers to a “flash” coming from his car and not necessarily being aimed at the police. The guy’s fiancé had just died - this was nothing more than suicide by cop.

vviolence is the culture of the inner city . the only people who can fix it are themselves, not the grifter "Revs" nor welfare nor reparations. The farther one is removed from the inner city the less intensity and amount of crime. And the leftists, like the 0, want us all in the cities while they live in glorious isolation.

There is so much about this that doesn't make sense. Why was he wearing a ski mask in July? Why did he run? Was the flash seen on video a gunshot, or his cell phone? Why 60 shots?

I lived in Akron off and on growing up. Its one of the twelve places I called home before striking out on my own. Once a good solid working class city, it became a ghetto armpit in the 60's and just got worse from there. The last time I ventured onto Arlington St I thought I was going to have to shoot my way out. Not a good place.

Another rabid animal put down. One of the primary tasks of the DMUK seems to be to keep the fires of racism burning here instead of in Britain. When you shoot at a bunch of cops, guaranteed you are going to raise the IQ average in your neighborhood to at least 46.

Thirteen cops with say 10 rounds each; that tells me how restrained they were. Every cop on the scene confronted by a shooter is obligated to contribute to the ventilation process. Media and BLM be damned. FYI: Every bullet fired has to be found and accounted for. That’s a lot of work. I know because my parents were awakened at 2:00 a.m. when police caught up with two armed liquor store robbers right at their driveway at end of the cul-de-sac. The police had to track every shot fired. It took three days. (One bullet was found stuck in a telephone cable about 25 feet up).

There are certain numerical milestones that hold particular significance, and that’s especially true for certain statistical categories. For instance, when a baseball player’s batting average dips below the .200 level, a point at which he is considered to be below “The Mendoza Line” in traditional baseball vernacular, we know he’s having a rough time at the plate. But if the numbers also show that he is on pace to strikeout 190 times during a season, it sheds even more light on his poor performance. He’s not just making a lot of outs; he’s making a lot of unproductive outs.

Fears have been raised about the future of artificial intelligence after a robot was found to have learned 'toxic stereotypes' from the internet. The machine showed significant gender and racial biases, including gravitating toward men over women and white people over people of colour during tests by scientists. 'The robot has learned toxic stereotypes through these flawed neural network models,' said author Andrew Hundt, a postdoctoral fellow at Georgia Tech who co-conducted the work as a PhD student working in Johns Hopkins' Computational Interaction and Robotics Laboratory in Baltimore, Maryland.

But every party still conducts the old-fashioned fundraisers, with one-on-one, face-to-face contact. They have highfalutin dinners where everyone gets dressed up in their fanciest duds and listens to politicians talk about how great they are and how much they need their money. Fewer Americans than ever say that they believe that the Bible should be taken literally, while a record number of Americans now say they view the holy book as a compilation of "fables, legends, history and moral precepts recorded by man," according to a Gallup poll. One in five Americans surveyed said the Bible is the "actual word of God, to be taken literally," about half off from the high point in 1984. The survey also shows that as fewer Americans are ranking religion as "very important," the number of those who believe the Bible came directly from God decreases.
