Buttigieg faces criticism from Democrats

Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg is under fire from fellow Democrats for flight delays and cancellations that have paralyzed the nation’s airports, wrecked holiday travel plans and caused Americans undue financial stress. Progressive lawmakers, in particular, say Mr. Buttigieg needs to do more to rein in airline companies that have taken billions in public subsidies since the start of the coronavirus pandemic. “It’s time for the Transportation Department to impose massive fines on poor-performing airlines,” said Sen. Bernard Sanders, a self-described socialist from Vermont. In an email to supporters, Mr. Sanders called on the White House and Mr. Buttigieg to require airlines to refund passengers for flights delayed more

Comments:

The fully lubed Buttigieg slips away like a greased pig from all criticism, especially as he's being groomed for higher office by the agencies, who know that Proud USA needs an uncloseted Gay man who's married to another uncloseted Gay man as president. Meanwhile, shouldn't USA simply nationalize the airlines, same as any other third world Marxist nation would do?

You see the kind prejudice he faces for taking maternity leave. To actually manage the post-covid lockdown ripples would have taken aggressive competence. He’s groomed ‘cause he’s gay, not for competence!!! He’s fully succeeded- exceeded expectations- on being gay! There has never been a gayer mom! Except potentially alfred e newman if “he” were to fully transition to gay motherhood. The inconvenienced “travelers” should be grateful. They’re transitioning too. All hail transition, no matter what its goal!!

Vice President Kamala Harris on Friday participated in an event featuring a critical spelling error on the stage backdrop. The vice president walked on stage smiling and waving at the Essence Festival in New Orleans where she participated in an interview with actress Keke Palmer. But behind the vice president, the text mistakenly read “Lousiana” instead of Louisiana. It is unclear who is responsible for the spelling error. However, the vice president’s advance staff should have caught the obvious mistake before Harris went on stage. It’s the latest example of how Harris and her staff struggle with bad optics as they try to improve her political performance on the national

Officers on the scene then declared the gathering an 'unlawful assembly,' and asked the crowd to disperse. But at that point, police say, the crowd became hostile and began throwing glass bottles and setting off fireworks in the direction of the officers.(Snip)Video from the scene showed a massive fire burning in the middle of the intersection at 24th and Harrison Streets
