Former presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard responded to reports that Russia shelled Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant, causing concerns of a Chernobyl-like disaster on "Hannity" Thursday. TULSI GABBARD: I went to Chernobyl after my second deployment to the Middle East. I was traveling to Eastern Europe, traveled around Ukraine and went to Chernobyl myself to see for myself the aftermath of what this kind of disaster looks like, and to hear them talking about this nuclear power plant in Ukraine being many times larger, and therefore the implications of this potential explosion being many times greater chills me to my very core.

Yes, let's immediately accept the premise that it's Putin who's attacking the Zaporozhskaya NPP. Because media reports have become quite reliable of late. I've been to Chernobyl, too, as part of my work, so my opinions (and sarcasms) hold more authority than everyone else's.

Lady Chihuahua saw a story reporting the fire is out. Recall another story in the first days of the war that Russia would be securing certain facilities to prevent Ukrainian sabotage. Sounds like that is exactly what Russia just did. Not sure this is going anywhere, but it might be humorous to watch Biden pronounce 'Zaporizhzhya'.

Disagree thoroughly with all those who post the Putin is a war criminal articles right now. Given the history of the old Soviet system hating any US/Western influences near their territory, I think Putin has had enough of our corrupt US politicians making millions at the expense of a lot of pro Russia Ukrainian citizens. This is not war on Ukraine, this is war on the rotten and corrupt of DC as well. I am not unhappy about the fact that DC is getting their oxen gored again, and this time by a guy who plays for keeps.

Tulsi, Tulsi, Tulsi....Did your mentor Klaus Schwab tell you to say this? Or maybe Joebama? I saw the videos of this so called 'shelling'. It wasn't explosives; it wasn't a 'shelling'. it was aerial flares, dropped probably from a helicopter. One of them set a small fire in front of an administrative or auxiliary building, and also possibly a transformer in the distribution system blew up. The reactor was never in danger. More hype and fear porn from the Globalist propaganda media. Maybe the Russians control it now. You can't believe anything the media or any of the 'intelligence agencies' tell you It WOULD be a good strategic target to take over, to try to pressure a 'peaceful surrender' without having to kill a lot of people, just make them uncomfortable and inconvenienced. Would be a stupid target to seriously damage or destroy..

Is it possible that the Russians took control of that big nuclear power plant so that nothing bad would happen to it, like the release of a lot of radioactive material into the atmosphere, as Russia is directly down wind from that nuclear facility?

All of the actual independent media are reporting that this nuclear plant is up and running with no problems this morning. It's not on fire. It's not about to do a Chernobyl and have a massive meltdown and pollute half the earth with nuclear fallout. Just more propaganda, and, to make it worse, it's coming from our own Congress critters!!! Please don't think I support the Russian invasion of Ukraine in any way. I still believe that Putin is pure evil -- Hitler-level evil. This invasion was not justified, though Russia may have had some actual and valid concerns about Ukraine, they simply were not enough to justify a military invasion. But I just want the truth to be reported, not all the propaganda that is being put out there as "news"!!!

It looks like the Russians do not want to destroy those nuclear power plants, but want to occupy and control them, so that they have the power to turn off when they wish all the electric energy that those nuclear power plants have provided to Ukrainian cities and towns.

Law enforcement executives and officials from crime monitoring agencies from across the country convened on Capitol Hill on Tuesday morning to testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee for a hearing to address the startling trends related to carjackings. I’m having a problem using the president’s formal title and name together. It’s not a matter of Republican disrespect for a Democrat. I referred to both Barack Obama and Bill Clinton by their presidential titles. It’s a matter of legitimacy. Over half of all Americans now believe that fraud affected the outcome of the last Presidential election. The Arizona election audit didn’t prove that the Donald won, as many hoped. But it did prove that we don’t really know who won that state. Given the election shenanigans around the country in November 2020, there is certainly justification to question the outcome.

The state of emergency is expected to be approved by the Ukrainian Parliament within 48 hours before it takes effect.

There has been no series of events more indicative of government tyranny in the name of COVID than what we’ve seen with the protest by truckers in Canada over the past several weeks. Truckdrivers who spend the vast majority of their workdays isolated in their vehicles were mandated to receive the controversial COVID vaccines, and they objected. Since then, the movement has increased in intensity and participants are no longer limited to merely truckdrivers. Arrests have been made, livelihoods have been lost, and bank accounts have been seized. And for what purpose? To force folks to receive a vaccination that doesn’t stop the spread of an endemic virus.

San Francisco residents overwhelmingly approved of a vote Tuesday to recall three of the city’s school board members, election officials said. Critics, including San Francisco Mayor London Breed, argued the members — school board President Gabriela López, Vice President Faauuga Moliga and Commissioner Alison Collins — pushed progressive politics rather than act in the best interest of children during the pandemic, and voters agreed, according to the San Francisco Department of Elections. "The voters of this city have delivered a clear message that the school board must focus on the essentials of delivering a well-run school system above all else," Breed said in a statement after the vote.

Blame Congress for letting the federal health agencies harm the lives of millions of Americans in this pandemic. Sure, people despair about the incredible amount of influence over Congress by corporate, narrow, and biased interests. But the bigger problem has been the uncontrolled power of Fauci and federal health agencies. Congress had lost its power to offer needed alternatives to actions by Executive agencies, namely CDC, NIH and FDA. There is an important opportunity: refund the Congressional Office of Technology Assessment, closed since 1995. It may be the only way to curb the powers of federal health agencies

There has been a full-on media blackout of the new study outlining the ineffectiveness of lockdowns to prevent COVID deaths. According to a Johns Hopkins University meta-analysis of several studies, lockdowns during the first COVID wave in the spring of 2020 only reduced COVID mortality by .2% in the U.S. and Europe. "While this meta-analysis concludes that lockdowns have had little to no public health effects, they have imposed enormous economic and social costs where they have been adopted," the researchers wrote. "In consequence, lockdown policies are ill-founded and should be rejected as a pandemic policy instrument."
