As the war in Ukraine grinds on, most Russians are unaware of what is really happening amid a new crackdown by President Vladimir Putin on the few remaining independent media outlets. On Friday morning, Russian lawmakers passed a law introducing jail terms for anyone who publishes so-called fake information about the country's armed forces.
The law carries a sentence of up to 15 years in prison for journalists or other people who spread military information that the Kremlin deems to be untrue. At least two independent media outlets have been taken off the air this week after officials accused them of reporting false information, which means basically anything that is not being published by official Russian sources.

Tesla co-founder and CEO Elon Musk called on the United States to increase its domestic oil output in response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, while also acknowledging that his electric car company would be negatively affected by that move.
"Hate to say it, but we need to increase oil & gas output immediately," Musk tweeted Friday. "Extraordinary times demand extraordinary measures." Musk added, "Obviously, this would negatively affect Tesla, but sustainable energy solutions simply cannot react instantaneously to make up for Russian oil & gas exports." The Biden administration has faced increased criticism from both sides of the aisle in recent days for not doing more to focus on American energy production

Joe Biden has had one of the most disastrous first years of a presidential term in US history. Yeah, Abraham Lincoln had the Civil War and George W. Bush had 9/11, but there’s a difference between events being forced on a president and a president causing events.
Biden managed to completely screw up the response to COVID despite being handed vaccines upon taking office. More people ended up dying on his watch than under the Trump administration. Then there are the foreign policy boondoggles, from Afghanistan to what’s currently happening with Russia. But if that wasn’t bad enough, Biden also turned the border into a humanitarian disaster.

Of course I think these developments are all good; I have argued from near the beginning of the epidemic that shutdowns and mask mandates are useless and counterproductive. But why are liberals in government now throwing in the towel?
The standard explanation is that the extreme measures taken to “combat” covid have worked, along with vaccination. Thus, because of the great progress we have made, life can get back to normal. Joe Biden framed it in typical fashion

The bill also revises what Florida’s government considers a “sanctuary policy” and beefs up the requirements to work with United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement. While supporters on social media desperately try to paper over Joe Biden’s disastrous energy policies, which are causing near $7.00-per-gallon gas prices, Democrats in his administration are doing the opposite. And for once, they’re telling the truth.
High prices are by design, and they don’t care if it hurts your family, your job, your food supply, or your ability to move freely about the country as long as their windmills and Chinese-made solar panels operate your cars and planes.
Don’t ask questions.
The timing is spectacularly bad. Democrat authoritarians have begun removing mandates and lockdowns because the political science has changed and Leftist politicians are being hurt in public opinion polls.

The smoke rising over Kyiv reminds us that the international order is subject to nonconsensual revision, and that the revisionists most likely to mount a violent challenge are nationalist dictatorships with a sense of grievance. I am less concerned about Vladimir Putin, however, than I am about a despot equally unaccountable, who rules a stronger country, and whose opposition to the West is more fundamental. I am thinking of Xi Jinping.
Some say he holds more power than any Chinese ruler since Mao Zedong, though he’s arguably more powerful even than Mao. Though he hasn’t established as strong a personality cult, he is equally skilled at cowing or eliminating potential rivals,

I love my country. But I have a problem with the current occupants. Americans are fat, fatuous, failing and flailing.
Let’s look at some evidence. A serious people:
*Would not imagine for even a second that the way to reduce crime is to defund the police.
*Would not seriously contend that the way to reduce inflation – a natural effect of too much money in circulation chasing too few goods – is to increase even further the amount of money in circulation.
*Would not allow biological and even anatomical men to beat women in women’s athletics simply because those men say they feel womanly at the moment.

The Supreme Court on Friday reimposed the death penalty for Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, undoing a federal appeals court ruling that had dropped the sentence. In a 6-3 decision authored by Justice Clarence Thomas, the majority of justices rejected the defense's claims that a judge presiding over Tsarnaev’s 2015 trial improperly barred the questioning of prospective jurors and was wrong to exclude evidence of a different crime two years prior to the bombing.
"Dzohkhar Tsarnaev committed heinous crimes,” Thomas wrote for the majority. “The Sixth Amendment nonetheless guaranteed him a fair trial before an impartial jury. He received one."

Washington- The Supreme Court on Friday reimposed the death sentence for Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, reversing a federal appeals court ruling that had voided it.
By a vote of 6-3, the court rejected defense claims that the judge at Tsarnaev’s 2015 trial improperly restricted the questioning of prospective jurors and was wrong to exclude evidence of a separate crime two years before the bombing. Tsarnaev was convicted of joining his older brother, Tamerlan, in planting and detonating two pressure cooker bombs at separate spots near the marathon finish line in 2013. The blasts killed three people and left hundreds of others with serious injuries.

Management at Europe’s largest nuclear plant in Ukraine is working at gunpoint after the facility was attacked and seized by Russian forces, the head of the state-owned nuclear power generator said Friday. “The invaders entered the territory of the nuclear power plant, took control of personnel and management,” Petro Kotin, president of Energoatom, said on Telegram about the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant.“Currently, there is no connection and the station management works at gunpoint,” he added. Kotin said each of the six reactors at the site contain fuel, while pre-reactor pools are storing spent nuclear fuel, the irradiated byproduct of the reactors, according to CNN.

Liz Cheney's Jan. 6 commission is starting to look stupid.
Like the clown's outfit that tried to pin impeachment articles on President Trump over utterly nothing, as well as the grotesque fabulists of the Steele dossier who invented and peddled outright lies to manipulate U.S. law enforcement into taking action against Trump, there's no there there, zero substance, and as the truth gets out, they once again look like an awfully sorry bunch.
They've been trying for years to "prove" that Trump is guilty of something, and this current Jan. 6 effort is once again demonstrating their capacity for pratfalls.

If you have been monitoring the coverage of the conflict in Ukraine, it is amply clear that a narrative is being pushed.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is being compared to Winston Churchill during World War II; he is leading his people during perilous times to become an inspiring figure. He refused a safe passage offer from the U.S. with the quip: “I need ammunition, not a ride”. He streams videos from the deserted streets of Ukraine and posts photos with his cabinet. Photos of Zelenskyy surface in military gear on the battlefront. To sum it up, Zelensky is being portrayed as Churchill, Rambo and social media influencers all rolled into one.

When leftwing Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau lifted his skirt last month and revealed his fascist tendencies by cracking down on anti-authoritarianism protests, many American moderates and even some conservatives scoffed at the notion such tyranny could trickle southward. “Not here,” they said, “not in America.” Well, don’t look now, but it’s already started. That didn’t take long.
As was the case in Canada, the shift towards totalitarianism we’re seeing in Boston is rooted in COVID. Or to be more accurate, that shift is being justified by pointing to COVID as the bogeyman-du-jour.

In the immediate aftermath of the Capitol riot, it became very clear that the mainstream media and Democrats were going to milk the incident for all it was worth. Initial reports talked of Capitol police officers being “murdered” by Trump-supporting rioters as they broke through glass doorways and breached the Capitol building. It was those early false stories that were in part used by Democrats to make their impeachment “case” against then-President Donald Trump.
Within a few days, that narrative along with others began to implode. But it took a few weeks before we saw the first major signs that the media was trying to correct itself.

Former U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has called upon the United States to recognize Taiwan as an independent nation during his visit to the island off the coast of China.
On Thursday, Pompeo publicly declared that the U.S. government should take the “long-overdue” step and recognize the freedom of Taiwan.
“It is my view that the U.S. government should immediately take necessary, and long-overdue, steps to do the right and obvious thing, that is to offer the Republic of China (Taiwan) America’s diplomatic recognition as a free and sovereign country,” Pompeo said in a statement.
Pompeo said this would be a recognition of an already “existent reality.”

As we previously reported, the usual suspects flipped out over a story about Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. The left pitched it as DeSantis made a kid take off his mask. Naturally, that wasn’t true. DeSantis told kids that they didn’t have to wear masks behind him if they didn’t want to, championing an individual’s choice as he always has.
“You do not have to wear those masks,” DeSantis said to them. “I mean, please take them off. Honestly, it’s not doing anything and we’ve gotta stop with this COVID theater. So if you want to wear it, fine, but this is ridiculous." As we noted, the media went after him

The president reacted visibly with surprise to her comment, prompting the crowd to burst into laughter, interrupting the first lady’s speech.

During an appearance on FBN’s “Mornings with Maria,” Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) warned the turmoil in the world, including Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, was underway, there are still unresolved issues about President Joe Biden’s business dealings with Russia and China.
Johnson described Biden as “dramatically, seriously compromised.”
“That’s my concern,” he said. “We don’t know all of his foreign financial entanglements. We’ve certainly shown the indication of the advanced web of them. But I’ll tell you who does know: Russian intelligence, Chinese intelligence. Is that why he lifted the sanctions on the Nord Stream 2 pipeline, which again was one of the factors emboldening and tempting Putin to invade Ukraine?

As many governments are gradually being forced to pull back from covid restrictions, we have been searching for the direction of the next global assault on individual freedom and the sovereign constitutional republics of the world, including the U.S.A. We have discovered the next move of the global predators—already in progress—in their escalating assaults against individual and political freedom.
The next big assault on human freedom involves a legalized takeover of national healthcare systems by the World Health Organization. This stealth attack—with its initial plans already backed by many nations—will begin full implementation in 2024 if it is not quickly recognized and fought!

Bill was often at Epstein’s New York townhouse, crying on his friend’s shoulder about his “toxic” marriage to Melinda.

You might have noticed something missing from Joe Biden’s state of the union address on the 2nd of March, particularly during the Afghanistan portion of it.During that portion of his speech, Biden took the time to speak about burn pits in Iraq (an important issue, though not one that he necessarily had to bring up) and his son Beau, saying:And our troops in Iraq have faced — and Afghanistan — have faced many dangers. One being stationed at bases, breathing in toxic smoke from burn pits. (Applause.) Many of you have been there. I’ve been in and out of Iraq and Afghanistan over 40 times.

President Joe Biden had the lowest viewership for his State of the Union than any of his four predecessors first addresses with less than 40 million tuning in, according to Nielsen ratings. In a tracking of the 16 networks that aired live coverage of the address on Tuesday evening, 38,197,000 individuals were watching from 27,408,000 different households in the U.S. The figures from Biden's speech come amid an ongoing war in Ukraine and increasingly dire approval rating numbers for the president and Democratic lawmakers going into the 2022 midterm elections.

Much has been written about President Biden’s surreal State of the Union address, but the commentariat has studiously ignored the real problem with the speech. The trouble with this unnerving oration isn’t that much of it was fiction or that it revealed a vision of the nation that isn’t shared by most Americans. Its scariest feature is that it was filled with semi-coherent gibberish delivered by a man who is cognitively impaired and obviously unfit to carry out the duties of his office. If Biden were your father, you would relieve him of his car keys, yet he possesses the authority to launch a thermonuclear strike
