The day before yesterday, South Carolina GOP Sen. Lindsey Graham caused a political firestorm when he tweeted the following. (Snip) Marcus Junius Brutus was the Roman magistrate who conspired with Roman Senator Gaius Cassius to assassinate Roman dictator Julius Caesar in 44 B.C., while Claus von Stauffenberg led a failed assassination attempt against Adolf Hitler in 1944. Yesterday, Graham doubled down on his comments on Fox and Friends.
"I'm hoping someone in Russia will understand he is destroying Russia and you need to take this guy out back any means possible," adding that Russia needed an "Eliot Ness or a Wyatt Earp."
Ness was a reference to the prohibition-era agent

This isn't a shock.
The GOP brand is a joke in some states and I'm skeptical that any Democrat could be more hostile to family values and equality than Governor Spencer Cox, despite talking about family values, the bishop thing, and the usual political resume of anyone running for public office in Utah. (Snip) Now Cox is delivering wokeness while betraying female athletes by vowing to veto a bill that would prevent men from competing against women.
"We care deeply about Utah's female athletes and our LGBTQ+ community. To those hurting tonight: It's going to be OK.

For more than a decade, American presidents stood by while Russian strongman Vladimir Putin had his way with Ukraine.
Indeed, going back to the fall of the Soviet Union when Bill Clinton supported the nuclear disarmament of Ukraine, U.S. presidents have had a particular blind spot when it comes to Ukraine. An independent nation on the border of a country that has always seen that nation as one of its possessions could have used an independent nuclear deterrent.
But Clinton and then George W. Bush were too busy creating a post-cold war architecture of peace to be concerned about Ukraine. And that’s where Vladimir Putin entered the picture.
That “architecture” included solemn guarantees

Democrats are looking to make Ukraine a wedge issue in order to keep control of Congress and get a leg up on the 2024 presidential race.
That’s what the attempt to smear the entire Republican Party with the stink of being pro-Putin apologists is about.
Every major elected Republican official has come out squarely opposed to Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine. Many Republicans were urging Joe Biden to apply sanctions against Russia even before the invasion. But Democrats and their allies in the media have taken some ignorant comments from Tucker Carlson and Laura Ingraham and have tried to paint the entire GOP as supporting Putin and his war of aggression.

AUSTIN, TX – House Republicans are seeking a hearing to investigate how the Biden administration released a suspected Islamist terrorist into the United States after being stopped crossing the southern border illegally. [Tweet] Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ), ranking member of the Subcommittee on Crime, Terrorism, and Homeland Security, sent a request to House Democrats requesting authorization to hold the hearing, writing:
“There is no known case in which a foreign national who pinged on a terror watch list was simply released on his own recognizance.
“The facts in the case strongly suggest that the Biden Administration failed to follow appropriate protocols with respect to suspected terrorists.”

All the president’s woes stem from the Biden Doctrine. Whether we are speaking of a lack of deterrence in Ukraine, a potential loss of that country to Russia, the failure to control the border, or soaring crime in the inner cities, at the bottom of it all is the philosophy behind the Biden Doctrine.
So, what is it? (Snip) Biden doubled down during his State of the Union address, saying, “Let me be clear, our forces are not engaged and will not engage in conflict with Russian forces in Ukraine.”
This reveals the essence of the Biden Doctrine. In its general form, the doctrine holds that the rights and

A confused political hack from Delaware staged a one-man insurrection by invading the sacred precincts of the Capitol building, hijacking all the TV networks, and yelling that the planet would be destroyed unless we gave him all our money so he could burn it and turn it into green energy.
Joseph Robinette Biden Jr, who loves the sound of his voice more than his crackhead son or the b**tard grandchild of a stripper, had already inflicted the second longest opening address in the history of this nation with a 2021 marathon address that killed more brain cells than meth.
Like the star of a slasher movie sequel, Biden Jr.,

In the immediate aftermath of the Capitol riot, it became very clear that the mainstream media and Democrats were going to milk the incident for all it was worth. Initial reports talked of Capitol police officers being “murdered” by Trump-supporting rioters as they broke through glass doorways and breached the Capitol building. It was those early false stories that were in part used by Democrats to make their impeachment “case” against then-President Donald Trump.
Within a few days, that narrative along with others began to implode. But it took a few weeks before we saw the first major signs that the media was trying to correct itself.

Former U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has called upon the United States to recognize Taiwan as an independent nation during his visit to the island off the coast of China.
On Thursday, Pompeo publicly declared that the U.S. government should take the “long-overdue” step and recognize the freedom of Taiwan.
“It is my view that the U.S. government should immediately take necessary, and long-overdue, steps to do the right and obvious thing, that is to offer the Republic of China (Taiwan) America’s diplomatic recognition as a free and sovereign country,” Pompeo said in a statement.
Pompeo said this would be a recognition of an already “existent reality.”

The U.S. attorney who secured a 22-count indictment against former Illinois House Speaker Michael Madigan says there's more work to be done.
Northern District of Illinois U.S. Attorney John Lausch, a holdover from the Trump administration, stayed on after President Joe Biden took office at the behest of U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Springfield.
As other U.S. attorneys that former President Donald Trump selected were leaving their posts to make way for Biden appointees, Durbin said Lausch was involved in important investigations and should remain.
In the summer of 2020, Lausch’s office revealed a deferred prosecution agreement with utility ComEd, in which the company admitted to a bribery scheme

First Lady Jill Biden joined President Joe Biden on Wednesday for a trip out of Washington, DC, taking the stage for an unusually defensive speech about her husband.
The First Lady began her speech recalling Inauguration Day when she watched Joe Biden take the oath of office just a year ago.
“In that moment, he was the man I fell in love with so many years ago,” she recalled, joining her husband to address a small crowd in Superior, Wisconsin.
The president reacted visibly with surprise to her comment, prompting the crowd to burst into laughter, interrupting the first lady’s speech.
“I guess I don’t tell him enough,” she replied after Biden
