Senator Lindsey Graham has called for 'somebody in Russia' to assassinate their president Vladimir Putin. The Republican Senator invoked a Julius Caesar-style assassination of the Kremlin strongman—currently leading an invasion of Ukraine—during an appearance on Fox News' Hannity show and in a series of incendiary tweets on Thursday. 'Is there a Brutus in Russia? he asked. 'Is there a more successful Colonel Stauffenberg in the Russian military?' he tweeted, referencing the army officer who attempted to kill Adolf Hitler. 'The only way this ends is for somebody in Russia to take this guy out.(Snip)Graham's call for Putin to be assassinated drew a stern rebuke from Russia

Some people should just keep their mouths shut...HE is more likely to get taken out by some Russian spy or assassin than Putin...

This did not need to be said out load. Now Graham, seeking attention as always, makes himself the story rather than Putin.

Wow, Miss Lindsey, there must be some hefty blackmail documentation on you in the Ukraine. What you are suggesting in an act of war by the US against Russia. I’m always amazed that those who bleed for one set of people can be so ruthless against another. The pigs have been gorging themselves at the Ukrainian trough for decades. Their chickens are coming home to roost. I will not condemn anyone who may be able to expose that.
Do I feel for the Ukrainian people? Yes, I do, just as I care about Christians being slaughtered on a daily basis in China and the Middle East. I care about victims who have died in this country from the World Economic Forum’s dictates on masking, lockdowns and vaccines. A fat lot more of them have died than are dying in the Ukraine. I’m hearing the same voices that advocated cutting off food, water, fuel and money to the Canadian truckers decrying that Putin is doing the same thing to the Ukrainians. (He isn’t, btw.) I refuse to cheer sending any part of what’s left of our military and resources to yet another situation that the global elite have decided to manipulate for power and money.

I hope Mr. Graham has a good replacement ready, just in case. Putin most likely has connections with the Russian Mafia in this country. Very foolhardy.

That state needs to retire this boob. Assassinating presidents of countries even dictatorial presidents is how we got sucked increasingly into Viet Nam. For a Senator to suggest this is a sign of his advancing senility I would guess.

I'm getting sick of these warmongering politicians that want someone else to do their dirty work, to risk their lives while the politicians sit safe in their D.C. Offices, a quick run away from their safe bunkers in the basement.

Little Lindsey’s idea of going big and bold is to publicly embarrass the United States by goading a Russian (presumably) to do away with Putin.
Wowser!

South Carolina, you should be ashamed and hanging your heads today. This guy is a rotten example of what we should be cleaning out. A real shame that we have to leave it to Putin to clean out the rot and stink of our politicians out of Ukraine for us since our own media is in on the scam as well.

Graham and Hannity are both obnoxious. Graham is untrustworthy and should just go away. And Hannity just hypes and repeats himself ad nausea and with the same guests, all night long, night after night, month after month, year after year. And a US senator calling for the assassin of another country’s leader is outrageous. Is that how our Foreign Policy works? If the world can’t stop Putin, then it will play out. The US can’t do it because it elected two imbeciles as leaders. Actions have consequences.

There's no conceivable American advantage to Lindsay's blurting out what probably billions of people the world over are hoping for: that bullet from out of the blue. Remember that if Khrushchev and the USSR could have been tied to the assassination of JFK, that would have been a casus belli, and ruin would have followed. Putin is a madman, as he always has been, a madman with the largest nuclear arsenal on earth. Would he regard attempts on his life as worthy of popping off a few H-bombs? One would pray that that would never happen, but the Great War was kicked off by a political assassination. The same could happen now, particularly with the provocatively weak pResident * administration. Pray hard. Even so....

One other thing. #16 has a good memory. Sen. Graham did indeed call for demonstrators to be fired upon. He seems to have a thing about firing on those he considers unfriendly. He regularly votes to confirm terrible judicial and cabinet level appointments. South Carolina can do better. (I much prefer Sen. Tim Scott, and wish he had a better colleague in the Senate.)

There’s nothing or no one, to my knowledge, that says the long arm of Russian intelligence can’t reach out and smoke a sitting United States senator. Miss Lindsey makes very foolish statements that could have deadly consequences for him. Now it’s doubtful something like this will happen because in the long run Miss Lindsey serves Pootie Poo's interest better by remaining alive. Saying the stupid, dangerous, foolish things he just did. But when the dogs of war are unleashed, no one knows where they’ll go.

Just a thought on leadership -
The Scriptures are written for our learning. When the Israelites followed their own thoughts and ways, without consulting God’s providential help and guidance, they always lost the battle and suffered the resulting consequences.
When their leaders, such as Joshua, looked to God before acting, they were ultimately victorious when they, and “their houses”, served the Lord.
If there was true courage in Washington D.C., we would hear and see leadership like that of Joshua, and others throughout all history, who knew and understood where their strength resided and let the world know it. That is leadership that can be trusted and followed.

Guess I'm in a minority on this thread. Like Lindsey. But, occasionally he says the wrong thing. The problem with offing Putin is the assumption that his replacement would be better. And if the assassin was from another country it might result in another war. Vlad the Impaler is smart enough to know he can do what he's doing because no country wants a war with another country that has nuclear weapons. If saying stupid things is wrong there are people who should pay the price before Lindsey.

We South Carolinians try to get rid of this miserable traitor but we have open primaries and at least 23 plus or minus candidates to split the vote. Lindsey turns conservative about six months before an election.
I seem to remember that he and Sen. McCain had big money interests in the Ukraine. He is just protecting his alleged money laundering operation. Putin might reveal what Lindsey is up to.

I don’t disagree with the sentiment, but having an official says this is a propaganda gift to Putin.
By saying this, Lindsey showed he is either stupid or on Russia’s side.

On one of Tucker Carlson's monologues he lit into Miss Lindsey brutally a couple of years ago. Miss Lindsey was declaring to Tucker that he was goin to get to the bottom of this and that and after several years Tucker got fed up and let him have it good. I still remember that monologue with delight and Lindsey hasn’t been on his show since.
