With Russian forces having laid siege to Ukraine’s capital Kyiv, Ukrainians are now clinging on for dear life to every bit of ‘good news’ that they can find. Amid such a situation, the news of the ‘Ghost of Kyiv’ — a fighter jet that has reportedly shot down six Russian aircraft — has brought hopes to Ukrainians and is motivating them to fight back. Videos of the ‘Ghost of Kyiv’ are now going viral on social media. Many are calling the pilot the “first European Ace since World War II”. In aerial warfare terminology, an ‘ace’ is a pilot who has shot down at least five aircraft

Mig 29, with US Air Force Low Visibility Insignia painted not the bottom? Odd, almost like the US is responsible for maintaining that aircraft. This is Ukraine's ONE AND ONLY fighter jet. Russia has 1,531. "Everything will be Ukraine!" said the Defence of Ukraine in the Twitter post. Yeah... Sure. Pick a different fight, pick a different battleground.

The large photo in the article is a USAF F-35 strike aircraft, NOT this "Ghost of Kiev". Phony picture by lazy, stupid writer or editor, and they don't tell you that they just grabbed a file photo and stuck it in there hoping most won't know of their fraud. Lots of differences, but the engine inlets and the single engine are obviously F-35.
The short phone video shows a MiG-29 fighter flying over, definitely. Note the two engine nozzles at the rear in the video, and one in the big photo.....and, of course, the US insignia is a bit of a giveaway in the big, fake photo at top.
I hope that this is a correct story and that the Russians are getting hurt militarily. I have heard from friends that the Ukrainians are blowing bridges around Kiev to make it difficult for tanks to move. My young friend in Kiev has managed to get away to the countryside, a couple of hours before the bridges were blown, thankfully, and now, with her cat and chameleon (smile) are safely hundreds of miles from Kiev. I had her get some food while it was possible and take that and warm clothes, plus her precious pets, so now this young lady is at least away from the main focus of the fighting.
Also, I warned her that if electricity, water and gas were not already off, they will be, so living in a city without utilities is extremely difficult, much better in the countryside where wood can be gathered for heat and cooking, and water will be more readily available. I still have several friends in Kiev that I haven't heard from, and one in Kharkiv and another in Odessa that I hope to hear from. But Kharkiv is a big city, very near the Russian border, it may be already in the fighting. Odessa is on the Black Sea (south) coast, I don't know if there are seaborne attacks, but I heard tanks were coming out of Crimea, not too far from Odessa.
Damn Putin's black, evil heart.

Re #5. I have seen photos of multiple aircraft wreckage in and around Kiev, at least one, by tail marking, definitely Russian. The others are so mangled and burned pieces of wreckage, that you can say "yes, this was an aircraft" but type and nationality are impossible to be certain. MiG-29s are likely to be Ukrainian, and the one tail wreck was a Su-25 "Frogfoot" close air support aircraft, I am pretty sure. The rest, not possible to be sure. Maybe close look by a knowledgeable person, but even then, sometimes both sides flying the same type aircraft.

He seems to be more legend than real. Some Russian planes have been shot down though. But not nearly enough.
