Back in December when longtime broadcast journalist Chris Wallace announced he was leaving Fox News and the coveted anchor perch he had held there for some 18 years, speculation ran high that the “new adventure” he hinted at heading off to involved a stint at CNN, which is Public Enemy Number One as far as Fox News viewers and a growing number of cable news watchers across the country are concerned.Sure enough, not long after Wallace revealed his departure from Fox, a statement was issued noting he would soon be joining CNN+, the paid streaming version of CNN which is expected to debut before the end of March.

The concept of CNN+ just makes me laugh.
CNN has been hemorrhaging viewers since President Trump left office. They are at record lows. And now they really expect people to pay for CNN+?!?!?!? Talk about delusional!!!

I hope the chickens poop on his head. He deserves at least that and more.

Fox was going to let Wallace go, so he jumped to CNN ahead of the request for his resignation. Wallace got no ratings at Fox, and Fox was ready to move on from Wallace.

He can always try MSNBC next. No sympathies for Chris. The irony, however, is not lost.

We have all noticed the childishness of many on the left. The cliquishness, the self-importance, the obtuseness and preoccupation with sexual matters. It is no surprise that the mainstream media, run by such a nest of privileged nincompoops, is a mess. The product they deliver is unsurprisingly horrible and Chris Wallace belongs at CNN+. Fox viewers couldn’t stand him.

I have a recurring image of a disheveled man sitting on a street corner holding a tin cup asking passers-by for a donation. as I near the broken sickly old man, I realize his features even though hidden behind several days growth are starting to look familiar. I finally realize, by God that's Chris Wallace... then I thought to myself damn I had hoped it was Mike. Alas, it was only a dream.

I haven't missed him a bit. I am soooo glad he left. No matter where or if he shows up, I won't watch. Maybe he should retire and move on.

"Wallace has threatened to quit twice, and it's only Tuesday" comment is so stupid. Quit WHAT? There is nothing. I think Wallace thought he had so much "gravitas" (typical liberal) and just by his mere presence he can create something out of nothing. Good luck with that....

I'm just glad he is no longer twisting the minds of the naive Fox News watchers.
Many of my friends point out the anchors on Fox that they like, and ignore the rests.
But if you heard there was one out of 20 dishes on the salad bar that contained food poison, would you continue to dine there?

Wallace is 74 years old and has a net worth of $25 million. His ego pushed him into the move. With CNN's rush to the bottom, I suspect Wallace will contractually get paid for a couple years and then walk away. Maybe he will set up specials with someone but his regular run is over. Frankly, he is too old for the "glamorous" news business.

If his non compete clause expires before then, I expect him to suddenly pop up at the WH as their new Press Secretary. He has to be able to do a better job than Raggedy Ann has been doing.

Are Wallace's paychecks clearing the bank? That's what matters. The rest is drama. As Liberace told his critics, he would "laugh all the way to the bank." Poor Chris Wallace...

CNN+? That's like me paying for CBS's Paramount+ when I can't stand CBS. As for Chris Wallace he ruined Fox News Sunday so he can go FOAD.

Pay to watch CNN you have to be joking. Wallace left Fox because he was obviously useless and he ain't no Shannon Bream.

Chris, you accepted a multi-million dollar contract. Go to work each day and surf the internet until CNN gets its act together.
