WELLINGTON, New Zealand (AP) — Some countries might send in a riot squad to disperse trespassing protesters. In New Zealand, authorities turned on the sprinklers and Barry Manilow. Initial moves to try and flush out several hundred protesters who have been camped on Parliament's grassy grounds since Tuesday had little effect. The protesters, who have been voicing their opposition to coronavirus vaccine mandates, responded to the soaking from the sprinklers by digging trenches and installing makeshift drainpipes to divert the water.

CTH begins every outline of the ongoing Durham investigation with the following disclaimer: How is John Durham going to reveal everything that is possible about the deep state Trump targeting operation, and simultaneously handle the involvement of Robert Mueller, Andrew Weissmann and the Special Counsel team who were specifically appointed to cover it up?
The short answer is, Durham can’t. The ramifications would collapse the U.S. government; .(snip)some of these revelations are only valuable insofar as they will be needed by historians who look upon the scattered rubble of this once great republic and seek to explain to future generations how it all went wrong.

Pro Football Hall of Famer John Riggins has demanded that his name be taken off of the new Washington Commanders jerseys, saying that he felt "dirty" seeing his name on a team jersey that wasn't his own.
"I feel completely disenfranchised. I can't understand how anyone who once played under the old franchise name could possibly want to be a part of anything to do with the Washington Commanders," Riggins, who was a star rusher for the Washington Redskins in the 1970s and 1980s, said.

It was just a casual, throwaway description. Last September, the New York Times reported on a series of daring operations by Ukrainian special forces to evacuate civilians from Afghanistan. U.S. troops had left Kabul, and the Taliban had taken complete control. “Enter Ukraine,” the article read, “a small but battle-hardened nation.”(Snip)... Americans would pass over that word: small.(Snip)This is a big problem. Ukraine is the largest country by territory within the European continent. Its population is roughly the size of Spain’s. A newly released email confirms that Burisma, the firm that gave Joe Biden’s son Hunter a lucrative position on its board, paid a $7 million bribe to the Ukrainian prosecutor’s office. The email also confirms that Obama’s State Department knew about the bribe.
Another email found on Hunter Biden’s laptop in October 2020 suggested that he was later tasked by a top Burisma executive to shut down an investigation into Burisma.
At the time the bribe was paid, Hunter was not only a Burisma board member, he was the head of Burisma’s legal unit.
The author of the newly released email, State Department official George Kent, testified at President Donald Trump’s 2020 impeachment.

Right now, the Senate is considering a nominee whose background looks like the dictionary definition of what we call the “revolving door.” The revolving door is a term we use when a politician or bureaucrat works for the government, then goes to the private sector and “cashes out” by using their connections and influence to make huge amounts of money (snip).

It’s unclear how many military members are being relocated. Some media outlets reported that 160 members of the Florida National Guard are withdrawing from Ukraine. The Epoch Times can not verify the number independently.

Election supervisors in Texas have warned that new stricter voter ID requirements ahead of next month’s state governor’s primary have already resulted in an uncharacteristically high number of ballot rejections. Voting rights activists have expressed fears that new laws making access to the vote more difficult–that have been passed in many states across the US by Republicans–will impact Democrat-leaning voters of color. According to officials in media reports, as many as 40% of roughly 3,600 returned ballots in Harris county, Texas’ most populous county that incorporates Houston, have lacked the identification number required under Senate Bill 1, a Republican-sponsored bill designed to tie voters to valid IDs.

It’s not often that we bestow the honor of the week’s top knucklehead on someone outside of the U.S., and that trend is understandable. There’s so much buffoonery that takes place here, there’s seldom a need to look outside of our own borders. The U.S. Army unveiled a plan this week to tackle issues surrounding climate change, including the establishment of an electric vehicle fleet, as well as the reduction of the branch's greenhouse gas emissions.
The plan, outlined by the Army in a document titled "Climate Strategy," calls for the service to cut its emissions by 50% by 2030 from 2005 levels and reach net-zero emissions by 2050. The strategy aims to establish an "all-electric light-duty non-tactical vehicle fleet by 2027" and an "all-electric non-tactical vehicle fleet by 2035."
"There are 950 renewable energy projects supplying 480 megawatts of power to the Army today … scoped and planned through 2024," the Army strategy stated.

Over the years I’ve managed to read a couple of Lee Child’s Jack Reacher novels. It’s yet another iteration of the American Story repeated endlessly in American fiction high and low, from Huckleberry Finn to Dashiell Hammett, and from John Wayne to Clint Eastwood: A stranger wanders into town, rights the wrongs, wins the girl, leaves the girl, and continues his wandering. It’s John Bunyan’s Pilgrim’s Progress, but without the reception in the Celestial City. America from the outset has been caught in a recurring dream (sometimes a nightmare) of a journey that cannot end but only begin again.

Under President Biden, the FDA, which had for decades advocated for the use of inexpensive generic drugs whenever possible, is suddenly inaudible and has even spoken out against inexpensive, widely available generic drugs that likely ameliorate COVID symptoms, even though these drugs have decades of safety data behind them. There are two leading explanations for this otherwise inexplicable turn of events: politics and money.
Let’s start with politics. Under Biden, the FDA has made it very clear for over two years that they do not approve of ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine for treatment of COVID-19, saying there is “insufficient data.”
