There’s a vibrant, exciting music scene happening in New York City — and newly elected mayor Eric Adams isn’t happy about it.
In remarks to members of the press Friday, Adams expressed concerns about drill rap, the musical subgenre that has flourished in his home borough of Brooklyn over the past half-decade. He characterized the music as “alarming,” linking it to gun violence, and appeared to put further blame on social media companies.
“We pulled Trump off Twitter,” Adams said. “Yet we are allowing music, displaying of guns, violence.

We pulled Trump off Twitter is something a fascist would say to be used to justify censorship. Another Tipper Gore! Or a male Karen. You decide.

Another Socialist wanting to take rights away from people. And rather than have the government do it, let the Left leaning corporations who back you do the dirty work, while your hands stay clean.

Biden and his leftist, progressive, and socialist Democrat operatives should take note that just about all the tribal based violent criminal activities being reported by the straight media in the big Democrat run cities have nothing to do with so-called “White Supremacy” as Biden and his crew try to allege. That is clearly evidenced by the fact that there has never been a “White Supremacist” in sight when those violent criminal activities take place. In this instance Mayor Adams has effectively pointed that out with his comments regarding so called “Drill Rap” that is being created and presented to the public in minority areas of New York City.

FTA: Adams acknowledged that his concern about drill rap is relatively recent. “I had no idea what drill rapping was,
Evidently Adams has never read the Daily Mail, they've been reporting on drill rap videos for years. Gangbangers (and wannabes) boasting of their crimes in drill rap videos is not a new trend.

How is drill rap different from cartel death videos? They glorify the same things.

New York goes from the frying pan, into the fire.
Hard to understand how people continue to subject themselves to this literal open air, violent insane asylum any longer.
Sadly, they will move to other locations and bring their same deranged, dysfunctionaly world and political views with them to help destroy the next place that they land.

New Yorkers should understand by now that they will be ruled by Adams’ personal opinions and eating habits. Their next mayor should be elected by voters in another State. NYC voters obviously do not have a clue what they are voting for.

Typical liberal. I don't like drill rap, but I stand my anyone else's right to listen to it if they want. The left keep trying to tell everyone what they should eat and put into their bodies and minds and how to think. FEA

I am clutching my pearls!
What will "we" need to do next? Ban crime? Oh wait, that would be racist and require real cops and DAs.

The genre of "music" may glorify criminal acts, which isn't a virtue. But what NYC needs is a Mayor who will declare war on crime, itself (and a DA who will prosecute violent offenses).
So do Chicago, Minneapolis, San Francisco, and Austin, for that matter...
