Comic book sales of ‘woke Superman’
tanked last year

The new woke Superman isn’t flying with fans, according to the latest comic book sales numbers. John F. Trent reported Monday for the entertainment website Bounding into Comics that sales of “Superman: Son of Kal-El”—in which the son of the original Superman becomes a climate activist, advocates for illegal immigrants and dates a male reporter after donning his father’s cape—failed to crack the top 50 for the number of units sold only five issues into its new run. This represents an unprecedented sales flop for the Man of Steel, he said. “That’s right, the flagship Superman book at DC Comics is not on a Top 50

You know you're in trouble when even your man bun soy boy audience isn't interested. Don't they deserve federal funding to keep this valuable cultural programming in the public eye? The Pentagon(e) would be glad to chip in.

They used the wrong pronoun! Shouldn't it have been SUPERTHEY or SUPERTHEM? Maybe the woke among us would have paid more attention to the gender fluid son of Superman comic if they used the proper gender identity.

I for one am shocked! Shocked, I say! that an incredibly popular hero who has never failed with audiences no matter the incarnation, artist, actor, time frame, or tone has utterly bombed once it went wokie woke. Obviously comin readers are all racist transphobic something or others and need to be canceled. In the meantime we need tax payer money to find this so every child in the country can carefully study these important stories as part of their public school curriculum.

The real goal is to remove any and all positive role models from children, replacing them with garbage. That way nothing is real, there are no standards of good and bad or right and wrong, any anything goes in the ongoing river of sewage. They've done the same with the westerns that helped teach morals to a generation of men, and girls also are offered nothing but slutty gutter dwellers to emulate.

Besides, nerdy guys used to read Superman comics so that they could fantasize about being a superhero. But then they all discovered on-line porn, and spend their time and money fantasizing about other things these days. Comic books should have gone the way of 8 track tapes a long time ago. But making them woke is only sending them to the dust bin of history ever quicker.

Disgraced New York Governor Andrew Cuomo's administration confirmed Thursday that thousands more nursing home residents died of COVID-19 than the state's official tallies had previously acknowledged, dealing another blow to his image as a pandemic hero. The surprise development, after months of the state refusing to divulge its true numbers, showed that at least 12,743 long-term care residents died of the virus as of Jan. 19, far greater than the official tally of 8,505 on that day, a 49 percent jump cementing New York's toll as one of the highest in the nation.
