A member of the University of Pennsylvania women’s swim team said some team members are uncomfortable changing in the locker room with transgender swimmer Lia Thomas, according to a teammate.Thomas, 22, who spent the previous three years swimming with the men’s team before she began transitioning to a woman, has created an uneasy environment in the locker room, as she still retains her biologically male genitalia – which are sometimes exposed – and is attracted to women, one teammate told the Daily Mail in an interview.“It’s definitely awkward because Lia still has male body parts and is still attracted to women,”

MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow is taking a “hiatus” from the network, according to a Monday report from Business Insider.
Maddow is expected to announce her hiatus to viewers of “The Rachel Maddow Show” tonight, according to Business Insider. The host will reportedly step away from her show to instead focus on movie and podcast productions.

The young girl's parents allegedly killed their daughter in 'cold blood' after she was kidnapped and raped by an unidentified man in the Al-Shahba area of Syria on November 18.
The child's body was found in a garbage container in Manbij, north Syria, on January 27 before being transferred to Al Furat Hospital which lies in eastern Aleppo. A Japanese conglomerate has found that the anti-parasitic drug ivermectin is effective and safe for the treatment of the COVID-19 Omicron variant, according to a phase III clinical trial.
Kowa Co. Ltd., a conglomerate with interests in trading, hospitality, electronics, along with health and medical applications, issued a press release (pdf) on Jan. 31 stating that ivermectin has been found to be effective against Omicron.

Police are actively investigating a brawl at a popular Bensalem buffet restaurant Friday afternoon after the fight was captured on video that has since gone viral on social media. Bensalem Director of Public Safety William McVey confirmed the department is actively investigating what happened Friday around 4:30 p.m. at the Golden Corral Buffet & Grill restaurant in the 1400 block of Street Road. McVey did not have an exact count of of how many people were involved, but officers believe it was more than 40.
