Philadelphia—An attempted carjacking suspect was seriously injured after a pizza delivery driver fought back against his attacker on Thursday night. It happened around 7:38 p.m. when the 39-year-old delivery driver was dropping off food on the 3300 block of H Street in the city's Kensington section.(Snip)Police say the delivery driver was approached by a 23-year-old man who pointed a gun at the male victim and demanded he get out of the car. "The driver of that car—when he saw that this male was pointing a gun at him, demanding that he get out of the vehicle—brandished his own firearm,

Is this "gun violence" or is it okay because the driver was licensed by the gods.

Must have a really small magazine on that gun. When your life is threatened you're supposed to shoot as much as you can, although if the crook had two others with him, you might save some rounds.
I hope the crook doesn't die.

What has happened to Philadelphia? I used to go the Philly at lot when I lived around that area. I wouldn't go there now.

Most interesting - -
- - the ABC story refers to the perp as a "male" - - but the policeman refers to him as a "b - - - k male." (I dare not fill in the blanks - - but you can try to guess which letters they represent.)
No one refers to the ethnic background of the driver - - but knowing that he's a hard-working person in a "community" area - - i'm guessing Hispanic.

If you want to see the area, go to You Tube and type in Kensington. It will break your heart what drugs has wrought on our civilization. And yet our southern border is wide open and more people than EVER are killing themselves with the drugs being carried over. Is this another way Moron Joe is trying to kill off the population?

Good news. Threatening violence should get you violence in return.
As to how much to shoot....you never know how many criminals you may be confronted with. Dumping all your available ammo on one target probably isn't a good plan.

Atta boy, pizza guy. Hopefully, the sub-human car hijacker is no longer in this world and went to a special place in H where reservations not required. By the way, the magazine on my conceal-carry weapon, a Smith & Wesson Bodyguard 380 holds six rounds, too. So, depending what the pizza driver carries, he probably emptied his magazine on the guy.

A happy ending, and a long-lasting one at that. Good job, shooter.

Well, the perp is "extremely critical"...but who knows, since it isn't COVID, they'll use actual treatment and may save his life, unfortunately.

I think every state in the union should have the death penalty brought back, but with all these liberal Woke Prosecutor's Nothing would happen.

I am sure Philadelphia's DA will find a way to charge this person, who does he think he is to decide that his life is more valuable than that of a criminal?

I guess that ramped up patrol did not help in this case. But even if the police arrest someone, the DA will cut them loose. Philadelphia is a third world schiff hole.

What is the lesson here?
Don’t threaten to kill people?
As the Dims green light crime, people will do what they have to stop the criminals?
There won’t be any liberals around to help you when you need it?

Good for the delivery driver. The crook was looking or trouble and he found it. Let that be a lesson to other scum bags out there

Wait, what? The criminal "pointed" his gun, but the victim "brandished" his? Brandishing a firearm is a crime. Is the cop signaling how this is going to go? The police are not your friends.

First, the driver probably prevented numerous similar crimes by this creep. Pay him a bounty, a big one.
Second, in a wiser era, persons convicted of a FELONY were automatically sent for execution which was carried out in expedited fashion. Felony, note, not stealing a slice of bread. How often in these cases are we seeing that the arrested -- and quickly freed -- perpetrators have a decade's history of felony CONVICTIONS. Continuing their despicable conduct with no intent of changing. Execute. AFTER a trial, sure. But right after a conviction.

What are the odds this is the first car the guy jacked? The rate of jacking probably just went down.

That pizza delivery driver had more than pepperoni and mushrooms! I'm guessing the delivery wasn't made on time. There was a Noid coming after that pizza! Remember that Dominoes commercial?

There have been more than 90 carjackings so far in the city this year. Last year, there were more than 750 incidents.
So... how's the anti-cop backlash workin' out, in the "City of Brotherly Love"??
Sounds like the Wild, Wild East to me. Pizza delivery driver must be one high-risk occupation, in Philly!

ALL Perps that commit a crime with a GUN are nothing but TARGETS. Try that on Me and the perp will be much heavier after the encounter!
