Actor and superyacht enthusiast Leonardo DiCaprio told Deadline planet Earth has “literally” nine years left on its “ticking clock,” and that “we should not have any elected leaders, on a state level, on a city level, or a national level that don’t listen to science.” In the Titanic star’s latest Netflix film Don’t Look Up, two astronomers (played by DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence) go on a media tour to warn mankind of an approaching comet that will destroy Earth. But instead of taking the astronomers seriously, the comet becomes politicized. The film goes on to make several thinly veiled references to the Trump

I seem to recall in the early 1980's the weather folks on TV were talking about a relatively unknown weather patter called El Nino. They knew about it, but didn't seem to know that much about it though. Would seem to require some new science to investigate and research, right? I also understand most of the models that are predicting much of the calamity don't actually show the same results when input with actual data from the years that have gone by already. Hmmm... wonder if that should be taken into consideration. Wasn't there a very large ice sheet that covered most of Canada, and a large portion of the Northern Midwest states about 10,000 years ago? Couldn't you say the climate is still changing, or is always changing? Lastly, the touted Paris Accord, only targeted the year 2100 to meet the goals, which is still 78 years away. So, if the new criteria is saying there are only 9 years left, then why the rush to re-enter the obviously flawed Paris Accord? And if you have only 9 years left, have all of the public works bonds been amended to indicate this so investors can clearly assess this risk?

“We’re all crossing our fingers that Biden can make one of the more substantial plans to at least implement renewables,” DiCaprio said. “So, vote. Vote for people that are sane.” Thinking that Biden is “sane” is insane. As to DiCaprio’s “only 9 years left” delusions, it does explain why this nearly 50 year old is on a mega yacht with a 24 year beauty who is wearing in an incredibly revealing micro bikini. He believes his own nonsense. One can be certain that he is planning on collecting $35 million per movie for the next 9 years if not longer.

DiCaprio is to climate change what Tom Cruise is to Scientology. Neither of them is particularly well educated but they are wealthy public figures and useful idiots who support religious belief systems that promote apocalyptic prophecies. There are virtually no legitimate environmental scientists who support the AGW orthodoxy that DiCaprio evangelizes. Much of the money supporting the Apocalyptic Environmental movement comes from large oil companies who know that as long as wind and solar alternatives are pushed it will keep serious discussion of nuclear power from threatening their oligopolies. The irony of this cult is that warming temperatures with increased CO2 is actually benefitting world food production and improving the health of billions of humans in developing countries. If you want to worry about something, worry about the Earth's orbit and axis tilt that wobbles over a period of 10,000-15,000 years and results in ice ages that reduce growing cycles and lead to widespread extinctions in the past. We are overdue for the next one. Having excess CO2 in the atmosphere provides a safety margin for the inevitable next period of cold temperatures and serious reductions in CO2 that can literally kill the planet's biological systems.

Where COVID is concerned, are you ready to vaccinate your two-year-old? And then vaccinate your two-year-old? And then vaccinate your two-year-old? I’m speaking of doses, to be clear. ABC News anchor Cheyenne Haslett inquired as follows: “For Dr. Fauci, I had a question for you, if you could talk a little bit about this next age group waiting for vaccines — kids four and younger — any updates on when we

On Wednesday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “The Beat,” Senate Judiciary Committee member Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-HI) said she wants Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer’s replacement to be someone “who will consider the impact, the effects of whatever decision-making is on people in our country so that they are not making decisions just based on” the law. (snip) “What I’m looking for is a justice who can be fair and impartial and who does not have an ideological axe to grind, which is what we saw — as far as I’m concerned — in President Trump’s nominees, including to the Supreme Court.

“Well, at least it can’t get any worse than this,” Joe Biden is thinking as he scans this Monmouth poll. Meanwhile, thousands of miles away, Vladimir Putin picks up the phone and gives the “go” order to his generals outside Ukraine… Coupla real gut punches for Democrats in this new data from Monmouth. Biden has reached the lowest job approval of his presidency in their polling to date, crossing the political Mendoza line by falling from 40 percent last month to 39 now. Republicans also lead 51/43 on the generic ballot, an all but unheard of advantage for the GOP at this stage

President Joe Biden announced on Thursday that Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer is retiring after four decades, and his successor will be a black woman, which he will nominate by the end of February.“Choosing someone to sit on the Supreme Court I believe is one of them most serious constitutional responsibility a president has. Our process is going to be rigorous. I will select a nominee worthy of Justice Breyer's legacy of excellence and decency. While I've been studying candidates’ backgrounds, I've made no decision except one,” the president said.

A former senior aide to President Barack Obama condemned Sen. Kyrsten Sinema as 'a c***' during a foul-mouthed appearance on a leftwing podcast. Alyssa Mastromonaco took aim at the Arizona senator for announcing that she could not support a filibuster carve-out in order to pass voting rights legislative—just before President Joe Biden met with Democrats to make one last appeal for their support. While Sinema has attracted the anger of Democrats from all parts of the party, no one has gone quite as far as Mastromonaco, 45, who was deputy chief of staff in the Obama White House.(Snip)'So anyway, it's the s***tiest grossest, like

While Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi go all out to protect Ukraine’s national sovereignty, at the same time they are orchestrating a clandestine invasion of America across the southern border. Two million illegal immigrants from dozens of countries crossed over from Mexico last year, and the Biden administration is facilitating the cartels’ people-smuggling operation — at taxpayer expense.Under cover of darkness, every night the federal government is transporting illegal migrants as fast as it can away from the border on secret charter flights into unsuspecting communities around the country. Officials have lied and obstructed the few journalists who have tried to reveal the truth.

The truth is that the Second American Civil War is...almost over. Unlike the first one, the Democrats appear to be a near lock to win. Leftists, through a combination of brilliant projectionist strategy and callously evil use of their political opponents' naïveté, decency, and tolerance, have transformed America's institutions. They have weaponized them and used them against their less aggressive fellow citizens. In the process, they have transformed Americans, their beliefs and expectations, too. Much like the Chinese Communist Party, they own nearly all the levers of influence and power
