This is child abuse. Several young girls including four freshmen, one sophomore, and a junior were abused at their school New West Charter LA because they chose not to get the COVID vaccine. The girls were denied chairs, forced to sit outside on the pavement behind warning tape, and were not allowed to use the school’s restrooms. School police are seen outside the warning tape guarding the area. One little girl describes the abuse: “I’m a student at New West Charter School and I’m here with five other girls. Four of them are freshmen, one is a junior and I’m a sophomore. And we are being threatened

Comments:

Where are the parents? Being interrogated by Garland's FBI for being terrorists?
This demands ALL of them descend on the school and show them who's boss.

All in the name of public safety. Can you say lawsuit boys and girls? I thought you could. We are seeing what people are like at their worst thanks to COVID. Ignorant, abusive, and uncaring. Don't blame COVID for this. COVID is just a convenient excuse. This is how some people behave when given the opportunity.

This is a rhetorical question. Do you think police would have intervened if a parent of one of these abused girls punched the principal in the face?

Where COVID is concerned, are you ready to vaccinate your two-year-old? And then vaccinate your two-year-old? And then vaccinate your two-year-old? I’m speaking of doses, to be clear. A triple approach will likely be the idea, according to Dr. Anthony Fauci at a press conference Wednesday. Amid discussion of the “development of a universal coronavirus vaccine,” he referenced a “three-dose regimen” for children under four. ABC News anchor Cheyenne Haslett inquired as follows: “For Dr. Fauci, I had a question for you, if you could talk a little bit about this next age group waiting for vaccines — kids four and younger — any updates on when we

Actor and superyacht enthusiast Leonardo DiCaprio told Deadline planet Earth has “literally” nine years left on its “ticking clock,” and that “we should not have any elected leaders, on a state level, on a city level, or a national level that don’t listen to science.” In the Titanic star’s latest Netflix film Don’t Look Up, two astronomers (played by DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence) go on a media tour to warn mankind of an approaching comet that will destroy Earth. But instead of taking the astronomers seriously, the comet becomes politicized. The film goes on to make several thinly veiled references to the Trump

NPR reported Tuesday that the justices were like a “dysfunctional family”: It was pretty jarring earlier this month when the justices of the U.S. Supreme Court took the bench for the first time since the omicron surge over the holidays. All were now wearing masks. All, that is, except Justice Neil Gorsuch. What’s more, Justice Sonia Sotomayor was not there at all,

Every infection provides a chance for the virus to mutate, and omicron has an edge over its predecessors: It spreads way faster despite emerging on a planet with a stronger patchwork of immunity from vaccines and prior illness. That means more people in whom the virus can further evolve. Experts don’t know what the next variants will look like or how they might shape the pandemic, but they say there’s no guarantee the sequels of omicron will cause milder

Democrats doubled down Tuesday on changing the Senate filibuster, despite authoring a 2017 letter in support of the long-established 60-vote threshold for certain legislation. In 2017, 61 senators penned a bipartisan letter to then-Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., and Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., urging them to preserve the filibuster as a way to promote bipartisanship and maintain the Senate as the "world’s greatest deliberative body." Pressed Tuesday at a news conference on whether they were hypocrites for now urging a rollback of the filibuster, Democrats said much has changed in the nearly five years since that letter, citing the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol to stop

Washington—Republicans’ faith in science is falling as Democrats rely on it even more, with a trust gap in science and medicine widening substantially during the COVID-19 pandemic, new survey data shows. It’s the largest gap in nearly five decades of polling by the General Social Survey, a widely respected trend survey conducted by NORC at the University of Chicago that has been measuring confidence in institutions since 1972. That is unsurprising to more than a dozen scientists reached for comment by The Associated Press, but it concerns many of them. Science used to be something all Americans would get behind, Rice University historian Douglas Brinkley said.
