A pair of reports yesterday lead me to question the sanity of the management of NASCAR, the privately held giant of the sport of stock car racing. (snip) NASCAR has officially canceled driver Brandon Brown’s sponsorship deal with the “Let’s Go Brandon” cryptocurrency purveyor. (snip) The entire “Let’s go Brandon” craze began at a NASCAR track (snip) one of the largest LGBT Chambers within the region pushing for equitable change within the workplace and marketplace, announced Wednesday that NASCAR will become the organization’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion partner for the 2022 term.

There is a tectonic shift underway in the medico-scientific establishment: they are starting to walk back boosters.
The first indication of this dramatic change of attitude came from the United Kingdom last week.

That piece featured the following sentence in its opening paragraph: “there is no need for now for people to have a fourth shot, British health officials said on Friday.” (snip) A mere day later, Bloomberg put out an article titled Repeat Booster Shots Spur European Warning on Immune-System Risks.
On Monday, Project Veritas released documents showing that an organization called EcoHealth Alliance approached the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (aka DARPA) seeking funding for its research into SARS viruses in rats, only to be turned down because of DARPA’s gain of function concerns. EcoHealth then turned to Fauci’s NIAID, which seemingly did research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology that led to COVID’s spread throughout the world. When quizzed about these documents before the Senate, Fauci denied the charges but, if you listen carefully, he denied a strawman of his own making.
Monday’s bombshell was that DARPA refused to accept EcoHealth’s proposal for bat virus research in China.
Something peculiar has become clear over the last two years: Leftists seem to enjoy the COVID panic. (snip) Walensky has acknowledged that, when it comes to vaccinated people who still died from COVID, almost 80% of them had one foot in the grave and one foot on a banana peel:

An unassailable stat from the Israelis, which made Fauci change his guidance from "if you are fully vaccinated, you will not catch it" to "if you are fully vaccinated, you can still catch it and spread it," was that the fully vaccinated in Israel were 6–13 times more likely to catch the D variant than the naturally immune population.
And the first decent-sized sample regarding omicron shows that the fully vaccinated are 2.61 times more likely to catch omicron than the D variant.
Commercials take up 27% of commercial television screen time and are the main source of income for TV and radio stations. (snip) In the United States today, the White population (not including Hispanics) is 57.8%. In real life Caucasians are still in the majority, but now on TV and the Internet they are swept under the rug like trash. Blacks compose 14% of the U.S. population but appear in 50% of commercials. I know from the volume of email I’ve received on it that Ted Cruz’s comments on January 6, 2021, calling it “a violent terrorist attack on the Capitol” have outraged many conservatives. Ted was once the darling of intellectually inclined conservatives, but I think the bloom is now off that rose.
Tucker Carlson used video of Cruz’s comments as the keystone of a segment on how Republicans are being cowardly and granting Democrats their false premises on the riot at the Capitol being an insurrection or even a “terrorist attack.” As Tucker put it, he was delivering talking points for Merrick Garland.
The Washington Examiner has broken what is, so far, the best story of the year: It turns out that Jill Biden has her own “walk-up” music. That is, whenever she makes an official appearance, this music is played for her, just as Hail to the Chief is played when the president appears. Someone within the Marine Corps band wrote it, although there is some dispute as to whether the White House requested such music or the Marine Corps band members spontaneously felt that Jill needed that special song.
