Penzeys Spices CEO Bill Penzey sent out a marketing email to customers on the anniversary of the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol wherein he unleashed on Republican voters at large, calling them the "#1 threat" to the United States. In the email obtained by FOX Business, Penzey promotes a new "Remember January 6" box of a combination of spices, and calls on his customers to "remember this day forever," saying that Jan. 6, 2021, was "the plot that will live infamy."(Snip)The CEO also unleashed a string of insults against Republican voters in general along with independents who vote GOP, as he urged his customers

Penzey? More like Pansy. There's another company that will never reap a penny from me.

Penzeys Spices is in no danger of my ever making a purchase. Besides, they are closing their store to in-house purchases. If you can't poison grandma any other way, just push her down the stairs. That's Chicago for ya.

I began with Penzey’s long ago. Bill’s newsletters then were folksy and good-humored and the spices were good. He began to become political slowly and became offensive probably 10-15 years ago. His sister owns the Spice House. Excellent quality spices - there is a difference - and no politics. Sells on-line and only locally in Evanston area, I believe. Try them! Tip - keep them in the freezer and they stay fresh forever. Her brother is nuts.

Omicron could be even less deadly than flu, scientists believe in a boost to hopes that the worst of the pandemic is over. Some experts have always maintained that the coronavirus would eventually morph into a seasonal cold-like virus as the world develops immunity through vaccines and natural infection. But the emergence of the highly-mutated Omicron variant appears to have sped the process up. MailOnline analysis shows Covid killed one in 33 people who tested positive at the peak of the devastating second wave last January, compared to just one in 670 now. But experts believe the figure could be even lower because of Omicron.

Hospitalizations of U.S. children under 5 with COVID-19 soared in recent weeks to their highest level since the pandemic began, according to government data released Friday on the only age group not yet eligible for the vaccine. The worrisome trend in children too young to be vaccinated underscores the need for older kids and adults to get their shots to help protect those around them, said Dr. Rochelle Walensky, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Since mid-December, with the highly contagious omicron variant spreading furiously around the country, the hospitalization rate in these youngest kids has surged to more than 4 in 100,000 children, up from 2.5 per 100,000.
