Whoopi Goldberg: ‘I, Too, Am Pro-Life’

“The View” co-host Whoopi Goldberg stated that she was pro-life Monday during a broadcast of the show. The hosts of “The View“ were discussing the Supreme Court’s ruling on the Texas Heartbeat Act, which allows people to sue abortion performers and those who assist them for $10,000. “They shouldn’t have introduced it in the first place, Goldberg said. “But now they’ve opened up the door to it, and it’s just, you watch and see how many folks come running through, because the bottom line is, really, has always been, I, too, am pro-life.

Anybody notice that home births are all the rage with the Lefties, but they have their abortions done in hospitals and clinics? What Whoppie is saying is that the Texas law allows for enforcement by private individuals. The Democrats are going to implement that in the case of gun laws to allow our neighbors to harass us about our guns. They won't need those Soros-funded DAs anymore to conduct lawfare against us.

What Poster #4 is saying is right; it's what they're celebrating. Maybe Whoopi is equating 'pro life' with 'anti gun.' The problem is that gun ownership IS enshrined in the Constitution; Abortion isn't. What next? Will you sue me for going to church? Reading or publishing a newspaper? Petitioning government? Owning a gun is right up there with the enumerated God-given rights.

I tend to agree with #1. Her "logic" and her point were not at all clear, and I am not sure that she wasn't either being sarcastic or trolling us. But she has never been a bright person, never came across as any sort of a deep thinker. It's always funny how she played some sort of a ultra long lived genius person on Star Trek and in reality is, near as I can tell, an airhead.

All depends on how she defines being pro-life. She has bragged in the past about how many abortions she had in her youth before she hit it big in Hollywood. When she says she is pro-life, I suspect she is pro-life for the mother to continue her irresponsible behavior, rather than pro-life on the side of the unborn. If she has had a Damascus Road event that changed her politics, I am glad for her. But until she proves herself, she is and always will be a leftist liberal who hates anything decent.

Woofi only considers a pregnant woman to be one life, denying that unborn babies are living humans, and not even conceding to them the dignity of counting as 3/5 of a life. Having license to treat ones reproductive system like an amusement park, without responsibility or consequence, is not being pro-life.

It has not been a good couple of days for Democrats. Two days ago, the 5th Circuit delivered a stunning rebuke of the Biden administration, denying their appeal of Trump’s “Remain in Mexico” policy. Yesterday, Adam Schiff got caught doctoring text messages during a January 6th committee hearing. Then today, the thermonuclear bomb went off. Joe Biden’s “Build Back Better” agenda was officially shelved after an agreement with Joe Manchin couldn’t be reached. On that note, my prediction that Manchin would stall things out into next year proved correct, and I still believe his ultimate goal is to kill it entirely in the softest way possible.

Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) appears to have doctored evidence that he cited in Monday evening’s hearing at the January 6 committee, just as Schiff infamously did during the impeachment investigation into President Donald Trump in 2019.The committee was discussing its motion to recommend that former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows be held in contempt of Congress for refusing to hand over information over which Trump has exerted executive privilege. (The full House voted to hold Meadows in contempt on Tuesday and referred him to the Department of Justice for prosecution.)

Everyone’s understandably focused today on how Cheney embarrassed Trump Jr and the Fox News gang by reading their texts to Trump on January 6. Ed has a nice write-up about it here. But don’t miss the forest for the trees. The point Cheney was making isn’t that Fox News hosts are hypocrites, although they are. The point is that the president’s own family and allies were pleading with him while the riot was unfolding to do something, yet he did nothing — for hours.
