Boom: Trump Suggests He Might Pick DeSantis

With Brandon being so terrible, there’s already starting to be some speculation over which Republican will defeat him in 2024. While most Republicans prefer Trump, a substantial number would like to see DeSantis run. That has led to some worries over if the MAGA base will be deleteriously affected by primary in which the two champions of the MAGA agenda are pitted against each other, something Trump has indicated he doubts will happen.Still, however, if the two do decide to run and end up fighting, that could have some serious negative consequences and splinter the most enthusiastic members of the MAGA coalition.

The word missing in this article is LONGEVITY. Give me The Don for the next four then DeSantis for 8 after that. The Donald has learned from his first term. I truly believe he will clean house instead of trying to work with the 'tards. The really fun thing to keep an eye on are the 'tards who will be in the unemployment line. How many dimoRats can the soon to be bankrupt CNNLOL absorb before it goes toes up? I am not forgetting Cruz. He would be in his sweet spot after Tooter-Turtle bows out.

Too bad DeSantis couldn't continue to be Governor of Florida and be VP. This way, he could continue to actually make a difference doing something meaningful as Governor but still be on Deck as VP. The VP (as clearly demonstrated by Kamala Harris) doesn't do anything anyway except take up office space and occupy a seat at some Cabinet meetings.

In presidential elections three or four years into the future is eons. Events occur that are wholly unexpected and beyond wildest immaginations. Few ever heard the name Barack Obama until in July, 2004, when he, then an obscure U.S. senatorial candidate from Illinois, delivered a speech to the 2004 Democratic National Convention.

I supported and voted for Trump and would do so again. That said I think those of us who support him have to recognize that because of his manner and style there is a broad portion of the "undecideds" that will never vote for him. And they care not one bit about the effectiveness of his policies.

Agree completely with # 17. We in FL need Governor Ron, and he would be wasted in the VP job. He is smart enough to know that and would (I believe) decline the running mate slot if it were offered. And you can be sure that you will never see DJT and Ron D. opposing each other in presidential primaries. Both men are smarter and better than that. Folks here seem to assume that Trump, if he chooses to run again, would be a shoo-in for election. Not so - He's got (deep state and media manufactured) baggage, and the Dems will not be so stupid as to run a Harris or a Hillary. Watch out for Roy Cooper, the governor of N.C., a very successful practitioner of the "moderate" gambit. Too much is up in the air at this early stage, whatever Biden's travails. Don't look too far ahead.

While there is no law preventing Pres and VP from the same state running together, there is a provision preventing a state certifying 2 residents of that state. So Fla could not certify both JDT and DeSantis. That's a problem in a close election. JDT would have to change residency.

#5 I SUGGEST YOU ACTUALLY READ THE CONSTITUTION.While there is no law prohibiting both pres and bottom running from the same system It is constitutionally prohibited for the electors from that state to vote for both such candidates. In this case Florida 30 electoral votes could not be cast for both Trump and descent is if both were Floridians. And BTW this exact issue came up in 2000 when icy was why Cheney n moved from Texas to Wyoming. So..kindly know what you are talking about next time.

I honestly believe this would be an unstoppable ticket!!! Donald Trump has been an amazingly successful CEO for decades. He does that by surrounding himself with super talented people, and delegating them to do what they do best. If DeSantis was his VP, I have no doubt that DeSantis would do a lot more than the average VP given his incredible talents and skills. And President Trump would be sure to reward that talent and integrity with lots of public exposure, to set him up to be the front-runner for 2028!!! It would be a massive win/win for this republic -- especially following 4 years of the worst president / VP combo in history!!!

More than 1,500 previously classified JFK assassination files have today been made public, including documents about killer Lee Harvey Oswald's contact with a KGB agent two months before the shooting. The files were released at noon on Wednesday by the National Archives, after months of delays by Biden who had promised to make them public but then stalled, claiming COVID backlogs was the reason. Not all of them are now public - some are still being held back for further review by the NSA until next December, a move that has been slammed by members of Kennedy's family.

President Joe Biden headlined the Democratic National Committee's glamorous holiday party on Tuesday night, giving a speech in which he touted his administration's agenda and railed against Republican objection to Democrats' voting rights legislation. He said the GOP was following Donald Trump 'into the abyss' by fueling baseless claims the 2020 election was rigged.'As Democrats, we stand for the people,' his VP Kamala Harris said in her own speech. 'And we will fight for the people.' Hours after speaking to a 400-person audience full of top Democrats and DNC donors the president struck a more somber tone in a statement memorializing the 800,000 Americans who have died of COVID-19 so far.
