Hey SA. Just to let you know, I donated my typical 4-$figure donation I usually give you at end of year to a local church charity that runs a battered women/men crisis center and homeless shelter. The director called me twice to thank me and didn't call me a racist either. Can't help I was born white, but I've worked hard and am blessed.

A few years ago, a friend who runs a nice restaurant, wouldn't accept payment for my wife and my meal. He said "put something in a Christmas Kettle." Since then I have always thrown a few Benjamins in the SA Kettle.
This year I give them zip.
Instead, sent what I can afford to the KY state storm victims.

I am happy to report that we have done our fair share this year -- in that we haven't put a penny in a single SA kettle this year!!!!
I would guess that I have probably put $50 in the SA kettles every year for decades at Christmas time. I always saw them as good Christians doing good work. But then Satan got to them and "woke" them up to the "evils" of white people. Since I am one of those evil white people, I won't offend them by putting my dirty money in their kettles.
Sounds like I am not the only one...

I don't agree with what the Salvation Army said at all BUT have have given to them again this year. Way back when I was younger, I helped deliver some of the toys from the Salvation Army to the children of poor families and food also and I'll never forget it. The children do get some happiness from it and I do hate to see children go without on Christmas. They do provide food too. Besides the left does not give to the Salvation Army because they are anti Christian -- I've listened to them say so. I don't expect everyone to agree with me when I give to the poor. As a Christian, I feel I'm called to give some to the poor.

The advertising slogan is "Doing the most good"... and traditionally they have done great work for the down and out, under privileged and underserved who are down on their luck.
Why is in Heaven's name have they injected politics into their appeal? Helping others is commanded of us by the Gospel:
Matthew 25:35-40 " 35 for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; 36 I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’
37 “Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? 38 When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? 39 Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ 40 And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’
I am sad that the Salvation Army has been corrupted by the woke crowd who judge people by the color of their skin.
That will not prevent me from giving to charity this year.

Well the Salvation Army should have concentrated on and continued their mission to help the unfortunate and stayed out of politics. The state of politics today is so contentious across the USA these days that once you support a very controversial political position like CRT you are bound to loose half or more of the country. For a supposed charitable organization like the Salvation Army that depends upon contributions from the public that can’t be good.

This line of discussion makes me think of some of my shopping experiences lately. Have you all noticed all the black dolls, books, and black santa decorations? I live in a mostly all white area and there were more black dolls than white dolls at the local Sam's Club. Also, all the commercials with black actors. You'd think they were the majority instead of only 13 percent of the population. What exactly is the point of all of this? They are also casting black actors in period pieces where it would not be realistic to have them playing a certain part in shows/movies. What is the point to portray what is not accurate?

I predict in 3 years the Salvation Army will no longer exist. People will give their money Samaritan's Purse.

Passing every bucket I see...I never would do that in years passed...my mother/in/law told me...never pass a bucket without putting something in...the Salvation Army helped feed her and her family during the depression...sorry Ma...I know you understand...instead I give the cash to my church and tell my priest to do good things for the needy in my community...he agreed...and I don't need the archdiocese reporting to the government what I give...so I only use U.S. cash...no connection to my bank account...one small step for America...and one leep for MAGA!!

We would like to thank Breitbart for sounding the alarm on the Salvation Army weeks ago for their story about SA's anti-white philosophy. At that time, we warned others that their pamphlet on anti-whiteness training was evil and was destructive. Years ago, SA was under attack by the Left and we felt led to make up for that loss of income by doubling our giving. We don't know what has happened to a fine organization. We were close to the Salvation Army group in CA Bay Area, but something evil has taken over the organization and that may not be repairable. Sad.

we will continue to donate "for local use only". The SA is no different from most institutions, in the US, whether national churches, foundations, alumni associations, etc. The top has been taken over by leftist elites, because rank-and-file supporters weren't paying attention. wake-up america; clean up your organizations; get rid of the elites at the top. the swamp is not just in Washington. that SA still does great work. forget the kettles (who knows where it goes). Write a check and send it to the local chapter, for local use only.

They and their "woke" counterparts in the corporate world are truly idiots for thinking it was intelligent of them to shovel crap into the faces of donors and customers. Did they think the number of snowflakes pushing this garbage outnumbered the normal citizens of this country and they had anything, anything at all to gain this stupidity. All involved should be out looking for jobs.

Maybe this is a good year to give to other charitable organizations who don’t preach “woke”. Then SA will have time to contemplate their mistake and realign their priorities. By the way, what is SA’s overhead? That is how much of our donation actually goes to the poor? Just asking.

The best thing they could do now is to publicly apologize to their white donors and fire everyone who had a part in that stupid, racist pamphlet. If they don’t they will become a permanently diminished organization. It’s SA shame because SA was an outstanding charity up until now. It’s quite stupid to insult your base (Christians and conservatives) to placate the woke left that doesn’t like the SA to begin with.

A person determined to sabotage the good work of the Salvation Army deliberately released this 'white racism' stuff with the intention of doing the most harm possible. You think evil people limit themselves to levels of government? Think again! The Roman Catholic Church and many charitable foundations are filled with people that, on the surface, seem honest and upright but in fact have the worst interests of the their employers and America at heart. Any reasonable leader of the Salvation Army would know and reject this white racism stuff released to the public. They would know the damage this would cause.

This Christmas my donations have gone to Fisher House, the Gary Sinise Foundation, Tunnels to Towers and Children in Crisis.
It is a heinous sin that our veterans sleep in the streets while the illegals are showered in cash and benefits.

I cannot understand why such an organization would hire someone to train their people to think this way. No more donations from me. I have noticed that SA has pulled their bell ringers in my area. I guess they didn't learn from that mistake.

We returned three SA solicitations with no $ but a polite note referencing Martin Luther King's dream and how far the SA has drifted from that ideal. The note ended with "Please dissolve your International Social Justice Commission and focus on your core mission - helping the needy without regard to race or ethnicity."
Any business or charity that has a Social Justice Commission will not receive our money.

I usually drop $20 in every red bucket I see over the holiday season. I also dump my entire year's worth of change into a kettle.
Thanks to the advice of the Salvation Army I confronted my whiteness and realized that level of generosity was a sure sign of white privilege. In solidarity with the oppressed POC, I stopped giving.
The SA is correct, I am much richer after confronting my white legacy of charity. I plan to spend my savings on brown liquor.

Not meaning to brag, but as an empty nester with good steady employment my financial situation is very good. I was wanting to find a worthy charity where I could make a sizeable anonymous donation, wanting to avoid being put on another charity's permanent mailing list.
I thought about putting a nice fat envelop into a SA kettle this year, then I learned that I was just an irredeemable racist according to this newly "woke" organization.
They surely wouldn't want any of my dirty money.

In my years ( 20?) of visiting this site Every Day!, I've never seen this many replies ( 120 and still going). The SA Army will not survive this without some sort of miracle. I'm not sure that I'm cheering for that........They've obviously become a just another of the thousands of leeches that build their fortresses in DC and other similar hellholes.....
