Cheney hints: We're building a case that
Trump committed a federal crime on January 6

Everyone’s understandably focused today on how Cheney embarrassed Trump Jr and the Fox News gang by reading their texts to Trump on January 6. Ed has a nice write-up about it here. But don’t miss the forest for the trees. The point Cheney was making isn’t that Fox News hosts are hypocrites, although they are. The point is that the president’s own family and allies were pleading with him while the riot was unfolding to do something, yet he did nothing — for hours. Everyone around him treated it like an emergency. Not him. Was that a crime? Watch the end of this clip, starting at around 3:00.

Go ahead and build a case. With inflation at a 40 year high, thousands of people rushing the border. Thousands of Americans left in Afghanistan, the supply chain in liberal turmoil,, the election coup de'tat to overthrow the Government. I guess it's important to spend time on trying to get Trump for the umpteenth time. Hope she ends up in jail.

If Trump had sent in the National Guard, Pelosi et all would have been screaming about Trump violating the separation of powers and the Constitution. Remember how Congress got their panties in a knot when the FBI raided the office of corrupt Congressman William Jefferson in 2006. If memory serves, both Republicans and Democrats were OUTRAGED that the Executive Branch had the gall to raid a Congressional office.

"At first, the Lilliputians are hospitable to Gulliver, but they are also wary of the threat that his size poses to them. The Lilliputians reveal themselves to be a people who put great emphasis on trivial matters. For example, which end of an egg a person cracks becomes the basis of a deep political rift within that nation. They are a people who revel in displays of authority and performances of power... (Ultimately) Gulliver is charged with treason for, among other crimes, urinating in the capital though he was putting out a fire..." (so like Jan 6 - if only)

I figured the only chance they had of getting Trump on a Federal Crime would be if they could get one of his hotel maids to flip on him and tell them that Trump told her to rip off those "Do Not Remove Under Penalty of Federal Law" tags from his hotel mattresses. The article seems to say that Trump did not act with sufficient vigor to exhort the bad actors to stop their wrongful activity. And that that failure is a crime. I suppose under extraordinary circumstances it could be. But what are the facts showing such extraordinary circumstances? Not these texts. Even if the texts show that some people had the opinion that he should do more, that does not establish any “facts”, just opinions. If the bad actors were false flag dims, would they have heeded Trump’s more strenuous exhortations? What’s the evidence? I would think the fact that the people in charge of security intentionally refused to provide adequate security would be closer to being such a crime. And maybe capitol police whipped the crowd up with pro-dim brutality- would that constitute such a crime?

Make no mistake the Republican party establishment is just fine with all Liz Cheney is doing too. Do we hear a word against this from leaders in House, Senate or party officials? No. They are salivating at this because they must continue to mock, denigrate, paint as a criminal the BEST President we had since Reagan. They work with the left to destroy Trump to stick us with Pence, Hailey and other Bush globalists in 2024.

All of the emails she read said, in effect, "This is wrong." How does that make anyone a hypocrite? We know that no true Trump follower would ever use the US flag as a weapon, dress all in black and cover their faces, deface the Capitol building, destroy property, intentionally harm another person especially law enforcement. I can see that people could get caught up in the moment and get rowdy but crossing the line into destruction, not people who use their brains. There is a lot of video of people begging the police to intervene while they stood by, others urging calm, some calling out "Fed" when a "Trump supporter" was encouraging violence. This was planned ahead of time for sure, just not by the people they are claiming. P.S. I can't stand Chaney and I cannot believe I ever fell for the whole Bush thing.

Once that riot was ongoing any statement by Trump would have been useless, as who thinks the the rioters would have stopped rioting to stand and listen to a statement by Trump and then pack up and go home? Until recently federal crimes were investigated by law enforcement entities of the Department of Justice, along with federal grand juries that decided if suspects should be indicted or not. But now Pelosi has set up what amounts to a political inquisition consisting of anti-Trump and leftist and socialist Democrats seeking to put Trump and has many of his close White House staffers as possible in jail to keep Trump from running for President in 2024 as they ignore all the real pressing problems facing the USA Today.

Our government wastes more time, money, and resources on non-existence issues or perceived crimes, attempting to punish political opponents, instead of addressing real, critical concerns facing Americans such as illegal immigration, for example, and, then, they wonder why people become so frustrated and enraged that they would protest at the capital and allow that protest to get a little out of hand. It is not hard at all to understand what caused Jan. 06. And, yet, instead of recognizing their behavior as a central cause, they double down and continue their nonsensical search.

There may be a rematch coming in the 2024 race for the White House. But we're not talking (God help us) Biden-Trump II. Instead, 2016 Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton is an interesting prospect to consider when looking for a viable candidate, particularly if an 80-something President Biden decides not to seek a second term. And why would he? Just 22 percent of voters want him to seek a second term, according to a I&I-TIPP poll. It doesn't get much better when polling only Democrats, where just 36 percent want to see the president run again, with that juggernaut candidate named "someone else" coming in first with 44 percent support.

Oops, he did it again. After leaking fake Donald Trump, Jr. emails, fabricating the transcript of a 2019 phone call between former President Donald Trump and Ukraine’s president, and lying about his interactions with the so-called whistleblower behind House Democrats’ first impeachment of Trump, Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., is now running the same con against a fellow lawmaker. During a hearing Monday night on the riot at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, Adam Schiff claimed to have proof that a member of Congress texted former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows to instruct former Vice President Mike Pence to overturn the 2020 presidential election results.

The survey of 1,224 registered voters found Abbott has opened a 53 percent to 37 percent lead, a whopping 15 point margin in the early going. Beto’s poor early numbers suggest the “purple Texas” narrative is under threat of collapse. The Biden border catastrophe, Beto’s insufferable Austin tech-bro liberalism, and collapsing support among Hispanic voters threaten humiliation for Texas Democrats. The Democratic weakness in Texas may come as a surprise to Republicans who watched with horror as Beto threatened to lead a successful progressive insurgency

As has been clear for some time now, the fortunes of Joe Biden’s Build Back Better legislation and the state of the US economy are inextricably linked. With every bit of economic bad news, such as the worse-in-40-years inflation figures announced on Friday, the chances of the president securing 50 votes for his monster spending bill seem to fade. Today, Biden will meet Joe Manchin and try to win the West Virginia holdout round. But one suspects nothing the president says to Manchin would be as persuasive as some good economic news — in particular, an easing of the price rises that Manchin has long said are a major reason

merican humorist Edgar Wilson Nye famously observed, “Wagner’s music is better than it sounds.” Recently, the White House and its numerous allies in the “news” media have been telling an increasingly skeptical electorate a similarly self-refuting tale about the Biden economy. Typical of the stories that have appeared in major news outlets is this howler from CNN’s Julian Zelizer, who insists that there is “a huge disconnect between the economic data and the way voters are feeling.” Anyone naïve enough to believe such balderdash will be disabused of their illusions by reading Friday’s Bureau of Labor Statistics report showing that the consumer price index (CPI) has risen by 6.8 percent

A U.S. district court in Georgia became the fourth court to enjoin a Biden administration vaccine mandate this week. As with the other trial and appellate courts, District Judge R. Stan Baker found that President Joe Biden had exceeded his authority in mandating the vaccine for all federal contractors. In the meantime, outgoing New York Mayor Bill de Blasio has ordered all private workers to be vaccinated. All of these mandates are on course for a showdown in the Supreme Court, where three justices have already expressed skepticism over the mandates. Biden issued an executive order on Sept. 9 that required contractors to ensure that their workers are vaccinated

A new super-variant could be created if Omicron and Delta infect someone at the same time, one of Moderna's bosses has warned. Covid infections normally only involve one mutant strain, but in extremely rare cases two can strike at the same time. If these also infect the same cell, they may be able to swap DNA and combine to make a new version of the virus. Dr Paul Burton, the vaccine maker's chief medical officer, warned the high numbers of Delta and Omicron cases currently circulating in Britain made this more likely.(Snip)Researchers have warned that these events, scientifically called 'recombination events', are possible but they require

Full disclosure: I despise Steven Spielberg movies and dislike both Romeo and Juliet and the 1961 West Side Story (WSS) movie. For that reason, I take particular delight in noting that Steven Spielberg's remake of WSS may have enthralled critics, but no one is rushing to see it. And no wonder, given that it's so darn woke that parts of it are in a language most Americans don't speak, but Spielberg refused to include subtitles. Let me quickly get through my biases. I hate Steven Spielberg movies because I find them overblown, predictable, and incredibly boring. I also dislike the way he presents children.

The Senate voted Tuesday afternoon to raise the debt ceiling by $2.5 trillion - a day before Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said the U.S. could go into default. Only Democrats voted in favor of the hike, with the final vote standing at 50 to 49, with one Republican abstaining. That meant there was no need for Vice President Kamala Harris to break a tie. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said on the floor Tuesday morning that the hike would allow the U.S. to borrow enough money to fund its expenses into 2023 - after the midterm elections. Schumer and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell struck a deal last week,

Only forty-six percent of Americans now think Old Joe Biden is “mentally fit” to be president of the United States, and Jill Biden is not happy. In a portion released Thursday of a CBS Sunday Morning interview that will run this weekend, CBS’s Rita Braver noted that “quite a few Americans have some questions about the president’s current mental fitness.” The winsome Dr. Jill snapped back, “I think that’s ridiculous.” Why, of course it is. It’s all just right-wing calumny, that’s all. He is fighting a stutter! How could anyone possibly look at Joe Biden and think anything but That man is sharp as a tack? Well, let’s look at

Vice President Kamala Harris said in an interview that “women will die” if the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) overturns landmark ruling Roe v. Wade. Currently, the Court is weighing a case, Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, which pertains to a 15-week abortion ban in Mississippi. The outcome of Dobbs could have direct implications on Roe. In an interview published Sunday with the San Francisco Chronicle, Harris said that efforts for SCOTUS to curtail abortion could result in women dying, adding that she’s not “alarmist” or “extreme” by suggesting that. “I don’t mean to sound alarmist, I mean this: Women will die,” Harris said in the interview.

A recent survey finds that 67% of vaccinated Americans believe the unvaccinated should pay a “COVID tax” to cover businesses’ pandemic safety expenses, but most business owners and the unvaccinated themselves don’t believe in such fees. Skynova, an invoicing software for small businesses, conducted the digital survey of 1,075 Americans. The firm’s project manager, Joe Mercurio, said the survey reflects a “consensus among people … that unvaccinated people should have to pay precautionary COVID-19 fees when visiting a business” to help cover the costs of personal protective equipment and other materials.(Snip)Higher prices for unvaccinated consumers would amount to “a new tax” to help business owners cover the $132
