Kamala Harris has been such a disaster as vice president that even Old Joe Biden, whose year as president has hardly been Lincolnesque, wants to dissociate himself from her so much that he got Jill to switch places with him at Bob Dole’s funeral so that he wouldn’t have to be standing next to his cackling successor-in-waiting. But the vice president, like all Democrat politicians, has her own gaggle of establishment media sycophants. I can share examples, but to really encapsulate the issues it’s actually easier to start by sharing a chart he presented when discussing inflation.

Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) vented his anger with the media in the wake of a report that he wants to drop the child tax credit, a popular program, from President Biden’s expansive climate and social spending package.

Everyone’s understandably focused today on how Cheney embarrassed Trump Jr and the Fox News gang by reading their texts to Trump on January 6. Ed has a nice write-up about it here. But don’t miss the forest for the trees. The point Cheney was making isn’t that Fox News hosts are hypocrites, although they are. The point is that the president’s own family and allies were pleading with him while the riot was unfolding to do something, yet he did nothing — for hours. Everyone around him treated it like an emergency. Not him.

Atlanta — An Associated Press review of every potential case of voter fraud in the six battleground states disputed by former President Donald Trump has found fewer than 475 — a number that would have made no difference in the 2020 presidential election.
