The intemperate Wyoming Representative Liz Cheney is on a hate-filled kamikaze mission to attack the base of the political party she abhors. {Direct Rumble Link Here} Previously, Alaska Senator Lisa Murkowski set the low bar for contempt against the Tea Party movement, however, this week Liz Cheney says ‘hold my beer’ and goes all in against the MAGA base. Ugly is as ugly does – inside and outside. (WaPo) – Rep. Liz Cheney’s disclosures of intriguing Jan. 6 text messages between Mark Meadows and both Donald Trump Jr. and Fox News personalities are the big news in the committee’s investigation right now. Once again i must ask what is the evidence that Trump impeded that hearing or otherwise violated that statute? None that I’ve ever seen or heard or read. Like their Rittenhouse “legal reasoning” - Rittenhouse shouldn’t have gone there - i guess the reasoning here is that if Trump hadn’t held a rally Jan 6 wouldn’t have happened. Therefore GUILTY!! It’s sad to see The Gullibles being led into Dimokkkrap hell by such irrational propaganda.

No matter how regrettable 1/6 was, it was over in a couple of hours, whereas the subversion of the rule of law by the democratic party and the federal judiciary and law enforcement went on for years. That criminality and is now open knowledge, yet not one person in any real position of power or authority has been charged. Anyone with half a brain couldn't care less about their kangaroo court.

I'm confused. Donald Trump, Jr., Sean Hannity, and Laura Ingraham all send messages to Mark Meadows pleading for President Trump to ask for order in a protest that went out of control (we can all argue who caused the event to go out of control, my suspicion is that there were agent provaceturs placed in the crowd to gin it up into a riot, but let's put that aside for the sake of this discussion). And that's a bad thing? Isn't that like seeing a fire and calling 911 and asking them to send the firemen. I never knew that was treasonous. Maybe in deep state swamp DC. Now, if all three had sent a text saying, "Tell them to keep it up!," I might come close to Turncoat Lizzard's high drudgeon. But that's not what they said. BTW, I can't wait for the Trump rally in Wyoming just before the primary that sends Lizzard Cheney to the dust bin and her new job as the house "r-word" at MSNBC.

Last week, the FDA authorized two much-hyped antiviral treatments for COVID (just in time for Christmas): Merck's Molnupiravir and Pfizer's Paxlovid. Almost immediately after the first data were released, critics were questioning the drugs' safety profile. But now that the first courses of these "miracle" drugs are finding their way into patients' bloodstreams, the mainstream media apparently now feels it's safe to share some of these criticisms with the public.(snip)Unfortunately, both Pfizer's and Merck's drugs come with some serious drawbacks, the biggest being that they can cause life-threatening reactions with widely used medications like statins - taken by people with high blood pressure - blood thinners, and even some antidepressants.

Three trials this year beg this question. The most recent trial ended last week when a jury convicted Kim Potter, who while a police officer shot and killed a driver who was trying to leave the scene after he was pulled over by the cops. Potter said she mistook her gun for a taser. While that may be true, nevertheless the jury found her guilty of first-degree and second-degree manslaughter. Most people, I believe, think that the age of myth-making lies in the past. (snip)Nevertheless, in school, if we went to an artsy one, we learned that myths were important. They told us not about what happened in the world, precisely. Rather, they told us interesting stories about character, motivation, and the dialectic of hubris and nemesis, crime and punishment. All of that is true, but I submit that the impulse to myth-making, if atavistic in origin, remains a potent force and one, moreover, that has been folded into the metabolism of partisan politics.
