Louisiana Governor to Add COVID-19 Vaccine
to List of Required School Immunizations

Original Article

Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards confirmed he is moving forward with adding COVID-19 vaccines to the required list of school immunizations, despite the state’s House Health and Welfare Committee voting to reject the proposal at a hearing last week. In a letter (pdf) to the House Committee on Health and Welfare Chairman Larry Bagley on Dec. 14, the governor said he disapproved of the committee’s rejection, and he plans to allow the rule to go into effect because it will “save lives” and help the state emerge from the pandemic. Under the proposed amendment, SARS-CoV-2 shots would be added to the list of required vaccinations for school entry.

There is nothing more perplexing than politics in Louisiana. I lived there for five years, mostly loved it, but could only shake my head at some of the things that would happen there. I can’t understand how a state in the south that is so overwhelmingly conservative would elect a governor who is so at odds with the people.

Born and raised there. Absolutely nothing surprises me about the place. I moved in 1998 and not once have I wanted to go back. I do miss the food, tho. As for this shot business, it needs to end. And a huge segment of the population is black and they have a healthy distrust of government anyway. Don't blame them.

Born south of I-10 in the deep, deep swamps of Louisiana worked my entire life there for over fifty years then moved away to the Southwest. I left because of politics, constant raining and hurricanes. All my grown children still live there along with my grandkids they are in private Christian schools. I also moved because of blacks which all my friends and family said they are getting worse with crime. Crime and gangs move west on I-10 to Baton Rouge after Katrina now it's really dangerous there. I haven't been to Louisiana since my father passed away in 2011 but I do miss oysters and oyster bars in Baton Rouge. Huey Long was the last great governor until he was assassinated in the Capital. The name Edwards is to Louisiana what the name Kennedy is to Massachusetts all liberal and aggravating. Merry Christmas.

The whole county would emerge from the 'pandemic' if the MSM would just stop talking about it. Influenza kills people world wide every year...but its NOT every year that a US Presidential election where the DC establishment is desperate enough to invent a crisis resulting in hundreds of thousands of fraudulent mail-in ballots happens. We were robbed, and this covid-BS is just the guilty trying to keep their tracks covered.

I lived there for six years, and never felt at home. I liked Mardi Gras and the food, but despised the climate and the politics. I've lived all over the country, and Louisiana is the only place where I voted in someone's garage. Seriously, people had voting machines in their garage! The whole place had a banana-republic feel. When I moved away, people asked me where I was moving to I said, "back to the United States."

What is behind recent pessimistic appraisals of democracy’s future, from Hillary Clinton, Adam Schiff, Brian Williams and other elite intellectuals, media personalities, and politicians on the Left? Some are warning about its possible erosion in 2024. Others predict the democracy downturn as early 2022, with scary scenarios of “autocracy” and Trump “coups.” To answer that question, understand first what is not behind these shrill forecasts. They are not worried about 2 million foreign nationals crashing the border in a single year, without vaccinations during a pandemic. Yet it seems insurrectionary for a government simply to nullify its own immigration laws.

The Senate has passed a draft of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) that would forbid the Department of Defense from dishonorably discharging members of the military whose only offense was refusing the vaccine. The bill rider to the larger NDAA package was put forward by Sen. Roger Marshall (R-Kan.) to “prevent Joe Biden from dishonorably discharging servicemembers for choosing to not get the COVID vaccine.” The amendment to the NDAA would not protect men and women in the military from being discharged from the military, but it would protect them from the social stigma of a dishonorable discharge, only permitting those who refuse the vaccine to be discharged honorably.

I can share examples, but to really encapsulate the issues it’s actually easier to start by sharing a chart he presented when discussing inflation. Do you notice anything missing in this chart? Look at it carefully.(chart) If you look at it and say: “hey, where’s the actual 2021 data he is talking about“, give yourself a cookie.
