COVID-19: New, infectious strain of Delta
variant detected in the US

A new sub-lineage of the highly contagious Delta variant that is spreading throughout the UK has been detected in the United States, health officials said Wednesday. AY.4.2 is being closely monitored in the UK after British health officials revealed that the new variant — reported to be 10 to 15 percent more transmissible that Delta — had been linked to a growing number of COVID-19 infections there. Dr. Rochelle Walensky, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, confirmed during a COVID-19 briefing Wednesday that AY.4.2 has been found in the US.

Comments:

Well, well. Just in time for traditional flu season. Now its subvariants of Delta - even more scary this time. The people are not responding to threats, so time for some more fear porn instead.

Let's keep the panic going. After all they were wrong with non super spreader at the college football games. They're starting to look like huge fools. Anyone still listen to them? With the border still wide open, they are a pack of hypocrites, a very dangerous pack for America.

Variants are actually mutations, they are caused by Vaccines being used during a pandemic, the Virus adapts and mutates. Get a clue!!! The people in a few states of India get it, they are using ivermectin and their infection rate dropped through the floor...England and Israel use the Vaccine and their infection rate is growing extremely fast...as I said, GET A CLUE!!!

If you're looking for the reason for the fear porn and all the other illogical and crazy things going on the last few years (and accelerating the past year) you should check out the Sovereign Nation videos on YT featuring Michael O'Fallon, particularly the ones titled "Public Occurrences Both Foreign and Domestic". He manages to pull together in a coherent whole these disparate and seemingly unrelated crazy events such as woke corporations, the woke churches, the out-of-control governments, along with the COVID19 fear porn. He points to entities like Black Rock, the WEF, and yes, Schwab and Soros as components working in concert with the CCP to reshape the world. Sounds like "tin foil hat" stuff until you start checking into it. For example, Black Rock is a major mover-and-shaker in the financial area, buying interests in many corporations and then forcing the corporate management to get "woke" and embrace DIE or lose financial backing or a forced shakeup in management. Also, they are a principal purchaser of real estate taking it out of the retail inventory and driving up housing prices. A critical component is to keep the public afraid of COVID and divided over its treatment. FTA: "“At this time, there is no evidence that the sub-lineage AY.4.2 impacts the effectiveness of our current vaccines or therapeutics and we will continue to follow.” Wallensky should have added , parenthetically, after the effectiveness (or ineffectiveness)... so it should read: “At this time, there is no evidence that the sub-lineage AY.4.2 impacts the effectiveness (or ineffectiveness) of our current vaccines or therapeutics and we will continue to follow.”

RNA viruses, like the Flu and COVID, readily mutate. There will always be new versions of them and they will always be infectious. The only question is, are they more deadly than previous strains. It's extremely rare for a mutation to be more deadly than its predecessor. COVID-19 was about as deadly as the flu virus, +/- a few 10ths of a percent. Our politicized medical establishment had to work very, very, hard to pump up the COVID-19 numbers to Spanish Flu levels. Now the focus is on cases to keep fear going.

Kind of tedious to sit through a bad movie whose plot sequence becomes totally predictable... Of course a 'new variant' comes, JUST in time to stoke the flames of fear before they totally burn out, and providing some cover for the coincidental suppression of seasonal influenza statistics, and to distract attention from the latest political intrigue. (Did anybody really think the Democrat-Media machine would just let their Zillion-Dollar Bolshevik budget bonanza fade away into political stalemate? There are some desperate shenanigans in store in this political showdown.)

An Interior Department spokeswoman said a group of demonstrators rushed the lobby on Thursday, injuring multiple security officers, at least of whom was taken to a nearby hospital. Police and protesters clashed outside the building, and officers used Tasers and batons against several unarmed protesters, representatives for the activist group said. The group said 55 participants were arrested. The dramatic scenes came during five days of demonstrations in the capital

Biden told reporters in a South Lawn gaggle outside of Air Force One, "I hope the committee goes after them and holds accountable."

Democrats in the Illinois General Assembly released the proposed new congressional map on Friday, with the lines drawn to yield 14 Democratic and three Republican districts. The current House delegation is made up of 13 Democrats and five Republicans. Illinois lost a seat because of population shifts reflected in the 2020 census. The potential three-seat pickup for Democrats in the Illinois remap could determine whether Democrats, led by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, continue to control the House after the 2022 elections. Pelosi at present holds onto the House with a Democrat margin as slim as three votes.

U.S. health advisers endorsed a booster of Johnson & Johnson’s COVID-19 vaccine Friday, citing growing worry that Americans who got the single-dose shot aren’t as protected as those given two-dose brands. Advisers to the Food and Drug Administration weighed J&J’s proposal for a flexible booster schedule. The company said the extra dose adds important protection as early as two months after initial vaccination -- but that it might work better if people wait until six months later. The FDA’s advisory panel voted unanimously that the booster should be offered at least two months after immunization but didn’t suggest a firm time.

The Biden administration told the courts late Thursday that it plans to re-implement the Trump-era Remain in Mexico policy in mid-November if it can get buy-in from the neighboring government. The move comes after an initial victory by Texas and Missouri in a suit that argued the Biden administration too hastily withdrew the policy, under which the U.S. transported 70,000 asylum seekers to Mexico to await a determination in their case. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has appealed the case and is working on a memo to rescind the program anew, but it still required to reimplement what was formally termed the Migrant Protection Protocols (MPP) “in good faith.”
