FDA panel endorses booster shot for J&J
COVID-19 vaccine

U.S. health advisers endorsed a booster of Johnson & Johnson’s COVID-19 vaccine Friday, citing growing worry that Americans who got the single-dose shot aren’t as protected as those given two-dose brands. Advisers to the Food and Drug Administration weighed J&J’s proposal for a flexible booster schedule. The company said the extra dose adds important protection as early as two months after initial vaccination -- but that it might work better if people wait until six months later. The FDA’s advisory panel voted unanimously that the booster should be offered at least two months after immunization but didn’t suggest a firm time.

If I heard correctly the booster for the Pfizer was tested on only 2000 people. The FDA panel did not approve it but the CDC gave it the go ahead. As far as I can tell all these gene therapies are still in the experimental phase. And - no we are not being given Pfizer's FDA approved therapy vaxx yet. And OMG - look at poor Israel - they doubled down on the 3rd shot and more people are dying of the virus than ever!

JnJ is a traditional vaccine that works the same as all the others we've all had going back the last 70+ years. It is not a genetic modifier. It is not mRNA. It has not caused thousands of death like Pfizer. There are 8 people who fainted and quickly recovered in the entire US. Why is it banned? Consider why governments so badly want you to take Pfizer.... You don't need Pfizer if a standard traditional vaccine like JnJ is available.

That is not correct info #13. J&J vaccine is a virus which injects DNA to make spike proteins into your cells. The other vaccines use mRNA to go into your cells to make spike proteins. https://www.nebraskamed.com/COVID/how-the-johnson-johnson-covid-19-vaccine-works If anything, the J&J shot would have a longer term effect because your body has DNA repair enzymes to fix up damaged DNA since DNA is intended to be permanent, and your body has RNA cutting enzymes since RNA is intended to be a temporary "scratch pad" sort of information. Seems reasonable that the J&J shot would be making spike proteins for a longer time, possibly permanently. The only "conventional" vaccine that I am aware of, worldwide, is in India and is not yet approved. Still in early testing phase.

The current House delegation is made up of 13 Democrats and five Republicans. Illinois lost a seat because of population shifts reflected in the 2020 census. The potential three-seat pickup for Democrats in the Illinois remap could determine whether Democrats, led by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, continue to control the House after the 2022 elections. Pelosi at present holds onto the House with a Democrat margin as slim as three votes.

The Biden administration told the courts late Thursday that it plans to re-implement the Trump-era Remain in Mexico policy in mid-November if it can get buy-in from the neighboring government. The move comes after an initial victory by Texas and Missouri in a suit that argued the Biden administration too hastily withdrew the policy, under which the U.S. transported 70,000 asylum seekers to Mexico to await a determination in their case. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has appealed the case and is working on a memo to rescind the program anew, but it still required to reimplement what was formally termed the Migrant Protection Protocols (MPP) “in good faith.”
