Pain at the pump: Biden admits ‘I don’t
have a near-term answer’ for high gas prices

President Biden admitted during a CNN town hall Thursday night that he has no immediate solution to the problem of spiking gas prices and suggested that Americans would not start seeing relief at the pump until next year. “My guess is, you’ll start to see gas prices come down as we get by and going into the winter–I mean, excuse me, into next year, 2022,” the president told moderator Anderson Cooper at the Baltimore event. “I don’t see anything that’s going to happen in the meantime that’s going to significantly reduce gas prices. “I must tell you, I don’t have a near-term answer,” Biden added before musing

Comments:

The grifter who never worked an honest day in his life and pretended to have a plan for everything now tells Americans they'll just have to bend over and take it. And it appears that we love it; take the shot or be fired, watch your savings evaporate and salary eroded, see your community flooded with crime and illegal aliens, freeze in the dark because we now have a Green New Deal, don't bother to vote because the outcome is predetermined. We've quite happily agreed to it all, so when they come to round up the guns, we'll go for that too, all on our Great Leap Forward.

#1, yes. Gas prices will reduce slightly due to decreased demand due to the arrival of cooler weather. Biden will grab the credit without offering a reason. This may or may not happen before the Thanksgiving holiday travel spike. Once Putin and Opec realize that they have us over a barrel, pun intended, prices will climb higher in early 2022.

#9 is correct, it's always been the plan, even Obama didn't mind the higher gasoline prices. He didn't like how fast they went up is all. Problem, there are thousands of government agencies who have a multitude of various vehicles that are now suddenly seeing a spike in their budgets they didn't plan for. I remember, the Pentagon had a $3 billion increase, back in Obama administration when the gasoline prices "suddenly" increased.

192,001 migrants caught in September;

Homeland Security reported another 192,001 encounters with illegal immigrants on the southwestern border in September, topping off one of the worst fiscal years on record. The monthly total marked a slight decline from July and August, which Customs and Border Protection touted as a needed improvement. But the numbers were still startlingly bad for an administration that insists it has things under control along the boundary with Mexico. Fiscal year 2021 ended with 1.7 million encounters with illegal immigrants. Nearly all of those came on the watch of President Biden, and security experts attribute the number to policy changes and a lack of enforcement since his inauguration.

Nearly 200 Americans left behind in Taliban-ruled Afghanistan following the August U.S. military withdrawal may still be trying to get out, the State Department said Friday, doubling its previous public count. Spokesman Ned Price said the U.S. airlifted out several dozen people in the past couple days, but even more people have come forward in recent weeks saying they also want to leave, which has sent the number soaring. He listed the current total still left behind and interested in getting out as somewhere between 100 and 200, and cautioned that the numbers are just “a momentary snapshot in time.” The higher tallies, which were reported to Congress
