Delta Air Lines is the only U.S. carrier to hold off on enforcing a coronavirus vaccine mandate for employees and CEO Ed Bastian reported that it’s been an effective tactic for vaccination rates and compliance.
The Delta head revealed on "The Claman Countdown" that the company has reached a more than 90% vaccination rate and expects it to rise another 5% within the next month without a mandate in place.
"The reason the mandate was put in by president, I believe, was because they wanted to make sure companies had a plan to get their employees vaccinated," he said. "A month before the president came out with the mandate...

It may be late but it looks like the Delta CEO has more sense than his counterpart over at Southwest Airlines!!
Absolutely nobody - from gardeners to airline pilots should be forced to be a Fauci guinea pig for these experimental concoctions. I refuse to call them vaccines because the scientists who know say they are no such thing.

So this bully got enough lunch money from his people, so he won't bother to fight the remaining hold outs to get theirs?

Between people who have had the shot and those who have natural immunity we are probably very good as a country. Leave us alone. Get the hell out of our lives. If you want the shot take it, if you don't want the shot then don't. We know the risks of both decisions. I don't care if you wear a hazmat suit to the grocery but don't tell me I'm killing your friends and relatives if I choose not to wear a face covering. It is not an immunization it is an inoculation. The covid of 2019 no longer exists. It is a new strain. Like the flu and the annual flu shot. If we let the government dictate this they will never take their knee off our healthcare decisions. National Healthcare for all. OMG it will be like dying and going to hell. And they will let us die.

And stop the constant bee-ess testing while you're at it.

Since the clot shot doesn’t really work, they could have 110% compliance (kind of like the number of vote by mail votes counted in some places) and, other than making noise about it, and it won’t matter.

Delta is still feeling the consequences from the moving the MLB game from Georgia earlier this year.

I've always suspected, but now I know for sure, that you don't actually have to be at all intelligent to be the CEO of a company. Thanks for removing all my doubts.

Lawsuits may be coming? How will this CEO explain his 90% vax rate? And those who didn't get the vax?
Double standards: those who were coerced and submitted, and those who squeaked by, coercion or no coercion.
The CEO will need to explain that many were coerced and others were not.
Is the writing on the wall?

Idiots discovered that 90 percent of 50 is the same as 45 percent of a hundred. Who's flying the plane.

I believe we'll see more of this type of retraction as businesses realize they won't have a business if people refuse this vaccine mandate BS. There might be people willing to take the place of those who refuse the vaccine, but training them and getting them up to speed will take time and cost big bucks. Plus stock prices for those businesses will take hit, upsetting stock holders.

The CEO is now trying to save his job, and avoid the backlash he knows is coming. I hope he gets booted. Airlines, you can go fly yourselves, because the ride is no longer any fun.

Sounds good until you read the fine print, which is missing from this "business" article. "Delta Air Lines, days after the government fully approved a COVID-19 vaccine, took a harder line with its unvaccinated workers. Employees on Delta's health plan who haven't been fully vaccinated will incur a $200 monthly surcharge, deducted from paychecks beginning in November, the company said Wednesday. That adds up to a $2,400 cut in annual pay."

Good news for Delta employees, but a little late. If I worked for Delta and was coerced into taking the death shot before this announcement, I would still be looking for my pound of flesh. The CEO may have had an epiphany, but I suspect an internal revolt was in the works and a lot of the ones still not vaccinated were pilots.
