Meghan Markle called on Congress to pass a federal paid parental leave program Wednesday in an open letter in which the Duchess of Sussex said she “grew up on the $4.99 salad bar at Sizzler.”
In the letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), the Los Angeles-born Markle said the COVID-19 pandemic had “exposed long-existing fault lines in our communities.”
“At an alarming rate, millions of women dropped out of the workforce, staying home with their kids as schools and daycares were closed, and looking after loved ones full-time,” she wrote.

Quite right. Why does ANYONE give her and her nitwit little sister, Taco Barbie, a glance.

She has a lot in common with one or two or three, maybe more, politicians currently, and regretably, in office who shall remain nameless but we all know who they are, right? Hint...it involves fitted sheets.

reasons women may not get hired:
1. they get married and quit
2. they have babies and quit.
3. they miss work because kid is sick.
4. they can't work overtime because they have to meet the bus.
So, let's add another!
5. Every time they have a kid, it'll cost me a lot of $ in paid leave.
This is reality, Queen Nutmeg.

She is not a strong woman. She whines all the time about being a mother of two. Who is she kidding!!! She who has basically disowned her own family who she claims worked hard to take care of her and send her to the best private schools. She claims to be black yet she never has anything to do with her black relatives. She left her first husband after she got a good job. She talked her wimpy mentally ill husband into leaving his family. I have no respect for her or him no matter how much money they have. They are hypocritical jealous people trying their best to make money off of his royal title since they were outshined and outclassed in England. I don't have time or room to tell you how I really feel about those two brats.

Megie honey, do us all a favor and take your dead beat hubby and yourself back to the UK. You really don't fit here. For that matter, you didn't seem to fit well in the UK either. Harry's granny would likely agree.

My question is, WHY are they still using the Stationary with "The Duke and Duchess of Sussex"? I thought they want nothing to do with the "Crown"! I guess they know nobody would care if it said "Meghan and Harry"! They should not be ALLOWED to use their Former Names from when they were still a part of the Royal Family. The one they have totally trashed!

Has Meghan heard about the Family and Medical Leave Act? Unpaid leave is guaranteed but accumulated PTO can be used and it can be combined with maternity/paternity leave if the employer offers it.

She is irrelevant. Anyway, we have an example of paid parental leave and it is an abuse. Look at the Pete Buttigeig. or however you spell his name. nonsense.

As we tune in today ( cue up the cheesy organ music ) we find that Sparkle Farkel Markel aka the Dukette has become the voice and champion of the working women of America., sharing with us how she was ""overwhelmed " by the birth of second and as of yet unseen second child. Most women, not having live in staff
will find her style over substance a bit difficult to take. The Duke aka Prince Harkle had no comment. Will The Duke ever wake up from his self induced nightmare?? Will the Dukette ever realize that she's just a curiosity and not the reincarnation of Susan B Anthony ? And what about the leverage babies Harkel and Larkel , will they be on this years family Christmas card ? For the answers to these and other dopey questions, tune in next week, next month or next year fro another chapter of " The Unmerry Wife of Windsor"..... seeking privacy but appearing everywhere for big bucks

You've come a long way baby since the '$4.99 salad bar at Sizzler' so why don't you just step up and pay that parental leave yourself. Secretary Buttikeig would appreciate you paying him three months paternal leave while he swings on a rope swing with his 'partner'. I'm not going to pay some dead head with my taxes for leave when my family never expected it or received any.

They didn't "drop out of the workforce".
They were forced to leave their job because their children were not allowed to go to school and someone had to watch them.

So, tell us MeAgain, how many nannies do you have?
I quit my job to be a stay at home mom and my daughter never spent a single second in daycare. When people would ask me if I worked I would tell them that I had the most important job on the planet - raising the next generation. On top of being nurtured all day every day, my daughter was never sick until she entered school.
I sometimes wonder if being shoved into daycare as an infant is the reason that the last couple of generations have been so messed up. The message to the child is that mommy’s career is more important than he/she is. I’d be angry too.

Addendum to Marble's continuing documentation: Is this all just a distraction from the red-faced shame of being escorted out of the UN because Megalodon and her Handbag were caught wearing listening devices whilst they petitioned the UN constabularies for Special Ambassadorship? Did they actually feel shame or was it all an acting lesson for Prince Hazno?
Will they EVER be able to step out of Monte(sh)it - show and walk among the Elites of the World again?

I thought that the Americans fought their Revolutionary War to stop British Royalty including Dukes and Duchesses from interfering in American politics? When Miss Meghan accepted a position within British Royalty she certainly should not be using a letter with a Royal letterhead in an attempt to interfere in US politics. Beyond that it is said that American citizens are not supposed to accept foreign titles of nobility?

All hail the benevolent Queen NutMeg, who deigns to speak for "our communities" as though she, herself is still struggling. Who does she expect is going to pay for this "paid parental leave???"
