Meghan Markle pushes paid parental leave
in letter to Schumer, Pelosi

Meghan Markle called on Congress to pass a federal paid parental leave program Wednesday in an open letter in which the Duchess of Sussex said she “grew up on the $4.99 salad bar at Sizzler.” In the letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), the Los Angeles-born Markle said the COVID-19 pandemic had “exposed long-existing fault lines in our communities.” “At an alarming rate, millions of women dropped out of the workforce, staying home with their kids as schools and daycares were closed, and looking after loved ones full-time,” she wrote.

Comments:

All hail the benevolent Queen NutMeg, who deigns to speak for "our communities" as though she, herself is still struggling. Who does she expect is going to pay for this "paid parental leave???"

reasons women may not get hired: 1. they get married and quit 2. they have babies and quit. 3. they miss work because kid is sick. 4. they can't work overtime because they have to meet the bus. So, let's add another! 5. Every time they have a kid, it'll cost me a lot of $ in paid leave. This is reality, Queen Nutmeg.

She is not a strong woman. She whines all the time about being a mother of two. Who is she kidding!!! She who has basically disowned her own family who she claims worked hard to take care of her and send her to the best private schools. She claims to be black yet she never has anything to do with her black relatives. She left her first husband after she got a good job. She talked her wimpy mentally ill husband into leaving his family. I have no respect for her or him no matter how much money they have. They are hypocritical jealous people trying their best to make money off of his royal title since they were outshined and outclassed in England. I don't have time or room to tell you how I really feel about those two brats.

I guess they know nobody would care if it said "Meghan and Harry"! They should not be ALLOWED to use their Former Names from when they were still a part of the Royal Family. Secretary Buttikeig would appreciate you paying him three months paternal leave while he swings on a rope swing with his 'partner'. So, tell us MeAgain, how many nannies do you have? I quit my job to be a stay at home mom and my daughter never spent a single second in daycare. When people would ask me if I worked I would tell them that I had the most important job on the planet - raising the next generation. On top of being nurtured all day every day, my daughter was never sick until she entered school. I sometimes wonder if being shoved into daycare as an infant is the reason that the last couple of generations have been so messed up. The message to the child is that mommy’s career is more important than he/she is. I’d be angry too.

I thought that the Americans fought their Revolutionary War to stop British Royalty including Dukes and Duchesses from interfering in American politics? When Miss Meghan accepted a position within British Royalty she certainly should not be using a letter with a Royal letterhead in an attempt to interfere in US politics. Beyond that it is said that American citizens are not supposed to accept foreign titles of nobility?

The “Let’s Go Brandon” (code for “F*** Joe Biden”) phenomenon has been a fascinating trend to watch unfold in recent weeks, and on Thursday, it officially made its way to the floor of the U.S. House. During a floor speech railing against President Biden’s “Build Back Better” plan, Rep. Bill Posey (R-Fla.) began by stating that “the President’s theme ‘Build Back Better’ just can’t pass the straight-face test.” “In reality,” he suggested, “it’s like a ‘Demolish America Faster’ agenda. “If you really think it builds America back better,” he continued, “your view of America is different than most of the people I know.”

To their dismay, the Yale School of Public Health just concluded that immunity acquired by COVID-19 infection lasts three times longer and is stronger than that provided by vaccination. Naturally, the Yale Daily News downplayed the info under the headline, “COVID-19 reinfection is likely among unvaccinated individuals, Yale study finds.” The Yale study concluded that the risk of COVID-19 reinfection stands at 5% at three months after recovery and decreases to 50% at 17 months. By contrast, COVID-19 vaccine protection against infection can wane to a mere 20% as early as five months after full vaccination. Now, I may not be a Fauci-approved Scientist, but I’m also not stupid.

Moreover, it addresses an issue that potentially affects every Nebraskan who becomes infected with COVID-19, so that it deserves to be highlighted. The issue, as stated by the current attorney general, is "whether it would be deemed unlawful or otherwise subject to discipline ... for an appropriately licensed health care provider, once informed patient consent has been appropriately obtained, to prescribe ivermectin [or] hydroxychloroquine ... for the treatment or prevention of Covid-19."
