high, new CBP data shows

U.S. authorities detained more than 1.7 million migrants along the Mexico border during the 2021 fiscal year that ended in September, and arrests by the Border Patrol soared to the highest levels ever recorded, according to unpublished U.S. Customs and Border Protection data obtained by The Washington Post. Illegal crossings began rising last year but skyrocketed in the months after President Biden took office. As CBP arrests increased this past spring, Biden described the rise as consistent with historical seasonal norms. But the busiest months came during the sweltering heat of July and August, when more than 200,000 migrants were taken into custody.

Comments:

Nope, not seasonal. Note the correction at the top. Joe Biden, take a bow.

CPB is doomed. Biden has nominated anti-border leftist Chris Magnus to run and gut CBP.

This isn't happenstance. This is a concerted effort by both our government and outsiders to overwhelm and destroy the borders and the sovereignty of the US. It is an act of war, but unless we are will to treat it as such we are going to lose.

"arrests?" Means absolutely nothing unless you either keep them locked up permanently, or deport them quickly. Effectively these "arrests" are absolutely meaningless, as if they never happened. Just turn them loose, or worse, HELP THEM by transporting deep in to the USA. Evil people keeping the border entirely open.

"Arrests", "detained", "taken into custody" ... the Compost is creating, by implication, an image of a secure border that is turning away illegal entry. Media collusion to provide cover for the two principal border dynamics of this admin: Catch-and-release, and catch-and-resettle.

Is it really an arrest if you give them a note asking them to show up in front of an immigration judge. At their convenience?? This is Palbum for the lowfo voters to make them think that Biden is cracking down. This the very definition of disinformation and fake news.

The world now knows that it is leftist and socialist Democrat political policy for the USA to have “open borders” for all comers, especially third world “oppressed” people of color who in time will outnumber the current “deplorable” White Population of the USA and once granted US citizenship by way of Democrat designed “path to citizenship” rolling amnesties will become the future dominant voter demographic to keep the leftist and socialist Democrats in permanent political power.

The United Nations, awash in greenie ideology, has decided that now would be a good time to horn in on the state of Texas's internal energy production. For its own good, of course: NEW YORK — The leader of the United Nations says Texas must end its reliance on oil and gas production to remain prosperous in the era of climate change. At a UN summit next month, world leaders will be asked to rapidly cut greenhouse gas emissions in half by 2030. A vast increase in the production of renewable energy will be required to reach those targets.

Joe Biden has given the strongest indication yet that he is willing to end or whittle down the Senate filibuster as a means of overcoming Republican intransigence and moving ahead with reforms to voting rights, the debt ceiling and possibly more. Speaking in Baltimore a day after Senate Republicans yet again blocked major legislation designed to secure access to the ballot box for all Americans, Biden expressed mounting frustration at the filibuster which effectively gives the conservative minority a stranglehold over large swathes of policy.

The announcement is in Spanish and Haitian Creole, according to the organization Pueblos Unidos Migrantes. Most migrants are heading north from Tapachula, Chiapas, Mexico after growing frustrated while waiting for permission from Mexico's National Institute for Migration to stay in the country as refugees.

Media coverage will be both intense and obsequious; attendees, especially the ever-smug John Kerry, “special” climate envoy to the president, will speak in somber tones due to the seriousness at hand; warnings of impending doom will be issued; and absolutely nothing will be accomplished.

Is there anything Democrats can't do ... to kill off America's innovators and entrepreneurs? Sure as heck not, given their latest sneaky plan to discourage small -- and I mean really small -- business. According to Jessica Pate, writing at Issues & Insights: The INFORM Consumers act would impose new requirements and burdens on the millions of people who run small businesses. Similar bills introduced in more than a dozen state legislatures are generally supported by big-box retailers eager to siphon online money back to their stores. Lawmakers should reject them all.
