Migrants using QR code to organize caravan

Migrants from Central American countries and Haiti are turning to technology to organize a caravan headed toward the country's capitol where they intend to ask immigration officials there for help establishing their refugee status to avoid getting deported from the country. A QR code is being shared among migrants that links to an online consent form saying the person agrees to pay for their own travel expenses. The announcement is in Spanish and Haitian Creole, according to the organization Pueblos Unidos Migrantes. Most migrants are heading north from Tapachula, Chiapas, Mexico after growing frustrated while waiting for permission from Mexico's National Institute for Migration to stay in the country as refugees.

Maybe Patriots should start using the Mexican technology and give Texas a hand at the border. I'm retired and only a day away, I just don't have the knowledge to organize it.

Find the person behind all the technology and the meals and clothes and phones that these 'poor' migrants have, and you have the person trying to destroy the country.

I guess “the country’s capitol” refers to Mexico’s “capitol”? The “overthrow the world order” crowd seems to be everywhere. Or is it just chaos loving people? Or just dims who hate everything and everybody? Or just brick throwers who find societal sized bricks? Or just a virus that needs to eat the host?

Yeah. I can see the promo now -- Coyote Concierge Service. Earn points for great upgrades. Like pillows, blankets, gruel, a little more gentle treatment by the rapists among their group, maybe an extra swig of water once a week. Remember, the human tragedy is the way many of these smuggled get across the border. The two-legged Coyotes are much more dangerous than the four-legged variety.

These “caravans” are very well-organized and promoted in their last country of residence. (Not necessarily their home country as in the case of the Haitians, who admitted they had been living quite well in South American countries. Biden just offered a better deal.) I recall that the first caravan had Soros people handing out prepaid debit cards along the way. Fox’s reporter at the border has said that the invaders are now in new clothes and shoes and each has a cell phone.

Joe Biden has given the strongest indication yet that he is willing to end or whittle down the Senate filibuster as a means of overcoming Republican intransigence and moving ahead with reforms to voting rights, the debt ceiling and possibly more. Speaking in Baltimore a day after Senate Republicans yet again blocked major legislation designed to secure access to the ballot box for all Americans, Biden expressed mounting frustration at the filibuster which effectively gives the conservative minority a stranglehold over large swathes of policy.

A Riverside high school teacher has been placed on leave after a viral video recorded by a student showed her hollering and dancing around a classroom in a fake feathered headdress, sparking outrage from the Native American community, school officials and local politicians. The video has more than 3.7 million views on Twitter and hundreds of reactions on Instagram. The Riverside Unified School District released a statement on Thursday, saying the teacher’s

U.S. authorities detained more than 1.7 million migrants along the Mexico border during the 2021 fiscal year that ended in September, and arrests by the Border Patrol soared to the highest levels ever recorded, according to unpublished U.S. Customs and Border Protection data obtained by The Washington Post. Illegal crossings began rising last year but skyrocketed in the months after President Biden took office. As CBP arrests increased this past spring, Biden described the rise as consistent with historical seasonal norms. But the busiest months came during the sweltering heat of July and August, when more than 200,000 migrants were taken into custody.

But of course: Removing a statue of Thomas Jefferson, given that as an 18th century grandee of his time in Virginia, he owned slaves by inheritance. According to the New York Post: A city commission voted to remove the statue of Thomas Jefferson from the City Council chamber by the end of the year — though the body is still debating where to send the monument to the Founding Father.

Is there anything Democrats can't do ... to kill off America's innovators and entrepreneurs? According to Jessica Pate, writing at Issues & Insights: The INFORM Consumers act would impose new requirements and burdens on the millions of people who run small businesses. Similar bills introduced in more than a dozen state legislatures are generally supported by big-box retailers eager to siphon online money back to their stores. Lawmakers should reject them all.

Somehow, someone made the decision to let Joe Biden out and to go to a CNN town hall. I’m not sure who thought this was a good idea. But even within the friendly confines of CNN, it was a complete train wreck — even by Biden standards. Naturally, most of the questions from folks in the audience were Democrats or softball questions. But there were some highlights and it was disastrous. Let’s start with the creepiness and the incoherence. Here’s Joe Biden claiming that top corporations “don’t pay a cent” in taxes with that creepy stage whisper voice.

First things first. National Review Editor Rich Lowry is not a “die-hard” Trump fan. We’ll offer several examples later in the article — but let’s first get to the business at hand. As Lowry sees it, it’s a fool’s game to overestimate Trump’s dominance of the Republican Party this far in advance of the 2024 election. Lowry writes, in an op-ed posted by The New York Post on Friday, that Republican politicians who think the Republican Party belongs to Trump can be forgiven, given that he not only survived two impeachments and the January 6 attack against the U.S. Capitol; he has since continued to thrive.
