President Joe Biden wasted no time in making fighting so-called climate change a priority, including issuing an executive order on January 27, 2020, tasking several federal agencies with developing plans to address the issue. And now those agencies have released a report citing the most pressing threats facing the United States. The order said: It is the policy of my administration that climate considerations shall be an essential element of United States foreign policy and national security. The United States will work with other countries and partners, both bilaterally and multilaterally, to put the world on a sustainable climate pathway.

On Friday’s broadcast of HBO’s “Real Time,” host Bill Maher wondered how the Build Back Better bill will help the economy when there’s a shortage of workers and building supplies are being held up by supply chain issues. ,Maher said, “It’s interesting. 18-year-old Timothy George Simpkins shot and wounded four people on Wednesday morning at Timberview High School in Arlington, Texas. Three students and one adult were injured on Wednesday after a fight between students broke out. One person was treated at the school and three others were transported to the hospital for treatment. Police took Simpkins into custody Wednesday afternoon after he fled the scene and charged him with three counts of aggravated assault with a gun.
