None of this is mentioned in the editorial: 1) The tariffs against China put in place by Trump are still in place. 2) If you include the HMS Elizabeth, there are now 3 carrier battle groups in the South China sea. 3) A few weeks ago a new defense pact with Australia and the UK was announced (AUKUS) 4) The QUAD, resurrected during the Trump years, just met again at the white house. This is mainly domestic political theatre for the Chinese. Taiwan is its go-to boogey man, and has been since Chaing crossed the straits. Mao could have given this speech in 1949. Next we'll be defending Quemoy and Matsu. Suddenly it's 1960 again! And Americans, of course, want to commit troops and fight. Nuke em, too! Why? Because we refuse to learn from past disasters. If Afghanistan isn't recent enough, just look across the water to Korea - another 60 year UN project on the US taxpayer books. We're not mercenaries, we're willing fools - "leaders of the free world" - Number One! China would pay a high price to act, and it is doubtful to me that they would. Taiwan is economically useful to the PRC. Look at the "freedom" we're enjoying at home these days...starting with the J6 protesters languishing in jail, open borders, threats of intrusions into your banking and other private affairs, and much more. Time to stick to our own knitting lest we completely lose what's left us.

Stand up to China? Biden abandoned our equipment in Afghanistan. Austin and Milley are pro-Chinese, and would call them, rather than stand up to them. Biden would sell Taiwan out for10% cut. Then, the U.S. military is discharging all its unvaccinated. That does not appear to be a battle ready force.

The proper response from the U.S. should be along the lines of, "So China is publicly threatening us with war? Well, we've been ready for that since China attacked us in Korea in 1950 and our vastly outnumbered soldiers and Marines kicked your 'superior communist forces' back across the Yalu River, minus a million or so 'superior communists' lying dead on the battlefields"

What was the purpose for the insane opposition of the Left between 2017 and 2021? To usher in a planned nihilism, an incompetent chaos, a honed anarchy to wreck the country in less than a year? A forthcoming book from bestselling author Mollie Hemingway seeks to set the record straight on what really happened before, during, and after the 2020 election that made the cycle a fraught experience as institutions exerted heavy-handed influence over the process that ended as some of those within Trump's inner circle caused self-inflicted wounds to the president's legal efforts. An excerpt from "Rigged: How the Media, Big Tech, and the Democrats Seized Our Elections" sheds light on what went wrong with President Trump's legal challenge to election results in Pennsylvania, one of the pivotal cases that determined the winner of the 2020 election. Hemingway shares the details —

A series of supply chain bottlenecks has created a monumental shortage of goods across America, with shelves in pharmacies, department stores, grocery stores and more sitting empty while cargo ships, freight trains and trucks struggle to distribute goods quickly enough to keep up with demand. The shortage is not down to a lack of goods - they have been produced. But backlogs at shipping yards and rail yards across the country, combined with a lack of workers means the items aren't being offloaded quickly enough and distributed across stores. Dozens of cargo ships are waiting to dock in California and further up the West Coast,

Among the federal holidays, Columbus Day has become one of the least honored, partially due to controversy about misdeeds associated with colonization. The history of Christopher Columbus is actually less messy and more consequential than many of the other heroes of our national holidays. There is not only a great deal to celebrate in Columbus, but the man embodied a range of attributes that are necessary to solving many of our contemporary problems and even saving our country from further decline and collapse resulting from group think,
