Based on new photos released today, conditions are outright inhumane at the Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) facility in Donna, Texas. Despite the fact that the government has expanded facilities and sped up the processing of illegal aliens the system, the massive influx is still outpacing the ability to keep up, and the facility is attempting to deal with even more people than when the news shocked Americans in March. In March, there were 4000 people packed into the holding pods/cages. Now, according to Fox, there are 5300 illegal aliens in custody at the facility, with between 40-60 people per pod. Abbott has a responsibility for the safety of the people in Tx. Governor Abbott act like a governor and round them up and send them back. Have your National Guard do it and arrest any ICE agent that gets in the way.

You must give Slow Joe credit, everything at which Barack Obama tried and failed, Joe doubled down on and failed twice as badly. So he has that going for him. Joe brought in more illegals from more dangerous places, wasted more stimulus money, wrecked the economy to a greater degree, made citizens angrier and managed to find the lowest IQ people in the country to bring to Washington.

Unfortunately - - Abbott is more like Costello - - a buffoon who is clueless about accomplishing anything. But don't worry - - at this very moment AOC is rushing to the border - - to grab a chain-link fence - - and display her unique version of crocodile tears. To quote the late, beloved Bob Grant: "It's sick out there - - and getting sicker."

Notice that the liberal media is blind to the “open borderline” and so-called “catch and release” policies and programs that Biden has created since assuming office that have essentially invited every intending illegal alien from all over the world to unlawfully enter the USA by walking across the Southwest Border and then making a spurious claim to asylum in the USA in unlimited numbers. Every executive action that Biden has taken since assuming the presidency has been designed to encourage more and more intending illegal aliens to unlawfully enter the USA.

I'm no big fan of Abbott but my sense of fair play is assaulted by the degree of serial criticism directed against him by people who haven't lifted more than their keyboard fingers to preserve the sanctity of "one citizen - one vote, no citizen - no vote." Are any of the most strident Abbott critics willing to back him up by force of arms when the feds come for him? In these unprecedented times, with our national government actively working against its increasingly popular and populous southern states by intentionally worsening an illegal invader-driven health crisis and abetting lawlessness within the border states for reasons that are blatantly political. Given the context, who is the model elected official that would make all the right moves against an increasingly active, retaliatory federal government? More importantly where are the brave citizens who rise to be seen and heard to give real power to any government representative? Even George Washington had troops to lead against the strongest global military power of his time. The citizens who could be supporting Abbott in defying the communist-inspired edicts of Biden and his administration remain hidden like the most vocal, ardent Trump supporters did, except for those who heeded his call to DC and now find themselves held without bail in violation of explicit Constitutional provisions and decades of Supreme Court rulings. The problem isn't so much the Republicans in Name Only but rather the Patriots in Name Only, arguably the most communicative but weakest generation of the past century or two but savvy enough to know that any and all state National Guard units can be federalized at the stroke of the president's pen.

That was fast. On Monday, Politico declared that "the White House continues to keep the southern border largely closed during the pandemic." Yet by Thursday, Politico warned, "Biden’s vision for the border has gone bust. But what’s Plan B?" So why the dramatic change? Could the answer be Governor Ron DeSantis who on Wednesday gave a scorching reply to Joe Biden who criticized the Florida governor for his approach to the COVID-19 pandemic? DeSantis was particularly critical of Biden's failed border policy: "Why don't you do your job, why don't you get this border secure? Until you do that, I don't want to hear a blip about COVID from you."

This is the aspect of his moratorium chicanery that I find most breathtaking, the frank admission that he’s trying to exploit the legal process to extend a dubious executive order. Most everyone else has focused on the substance of what the White House did, replacing a certainly illegal moratorium order with a new one which they have every reason to know is almost certainly illegal. And that’s appalling. But the problem could be solved if the courts reacted quickly by scheduling an expedited hearing on the numerous challenges to the new order. Depends on where you look, but the hotter spots for COVID-19 transmission might have already peaked. Former FDA commissioner Scott Gottlieb predicted two weeks ago that the US could be further into the Delta wave than we know, thanks mainly to a lack of regular sample testing that has plagued the US response from the start. That’s important context for the charts Gottlieb highlighted yesterday evening, based on data sourced from Johns Hopkins and the CDC. Have we at least plateaued in transmissibility? Gottlieb’s choice of graphs aren’t entirely representative, although it’s not deceptively positive either. When looking at the entire range

The University of Wisconsin removed a controversial boulder from its Madison campus Friday after the Black Student Union and other activists objected to its description nearly 100 years ago with a racial slur. Chamberlin Rock, which rests atop Observatory Hill, is named after a 19th Century geologist and former university president, Thomas Crowder Chamberlin, whose work centered on glacial deposits, according to a bio on the university’s website. But it was a reporter’s reference to the rock in a nearly century-old Wisconsin State Journal article that prompted the push for its removal. In October 1925, the university had the boulder excavated and placed prominently atop the hill to honor Chamberlin,
