Celebrities including Leonardo DiCaprio, Katy Perry and Mark Ruffalo are trying to push the Biden administration to oppose the controversial Line 3 pipeline in Minnesota, highlighting concerns about Indigenous rights and climate change. “Construction of the project is an unfolding human rights crisis. Operating it over its lifetime would significantly exacerbate the climate crisis. It fails any reasonable test of climate justice,” reads a Wednesday letter, which was signed by a total of 200 people, including Jane Fonda, Amy Schumer, Orlando Bloom, Danny Glover, Joaquin Phoenix and 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Tom Steyer. Yes, people who can afford to buy anything they want without worry are oh so woke and in touch with the earth. But the rest of us put gas in the car, buy groceries and look for the best prices on anything we buy because of inflation and limited funds. We are just hoping to put a little in the savings account. Put their names in google and search for what these people are worth. MILLIONS. It's easy to be sanctimonious when the biggest problem they have is deciding which car to drive today, your personal trainer called and said he would be 30 minutes late and Nancy Pelosi is coming over and you have to send the help out to stock up on chocolate ice cream.

I doubt that any of them could find Minnesota on a map - or even spell it.

Wow, a group of actors, politicians, celebrities and other ne’er do wells telling the energy industry what not to do. What is their answer to the pipeline? Windmills? Solar? We should cut off all electricity from fossil sources to these buffoons..let them use candles and eat roots.

The Hill is a consistent outlier in Biden approval polls. Recently they skewed Biden’s Real Clear Politics average with a 60 - 40 “poll.”

It you're fill up a pool do you run a hose to fill up the pool or fill up buckets and bring them to the pool and dump them and repeat over and over again???
Pipelines are just a hose to get the gas where it's needed. The gas is going to get there one way or the other. The people the own the trucking companies are smiling.
liberal idiots indeed.

You mean riots and lawlessness hasn't bakrupted the Minnesota economy, so now it's time to kill high paying pipeline jobs. Democrat is a special kind of stupid.
Well, at least the folks in Minneapolis will have their arts festival to attend. Oops, that got cancelled due to security concerns (you know, nobody was willing to risk their life to go there).

Leonardo and Ruffalo, who cares. But not Katy!! There are two big reasons I'm a huge Katy Perry fan. And then someone told me she also sings...
As the uber-beautiful Laura Ingraham once said, "Shut Up And Sing!"

Get rid of fossil fuels and people worldwide will go back to gathering limbs and twigs to burn, just like they did in the pre-industrial era. I doubt that your average third world slum will have solar panels and electric cars.

So a pipeline has to be stopped because of human rights? Is this pipeline used to ship people?

Holly weirdos…what hypocrites. Paid millions for mugging to a camera, showing their jugs, or offering other body parts to the producers. Remember John Denver who installed a massive gas tank underground during the gas crisis of the ‘70s. He wasn’t going to do without.

Uneducated Hollywood trash as usual knows nothing about everything. It just happens that Americans Indians are furious what Biden has done and they have been deprived of a decent paying job when he shut down the pipelines. Of course the Hollywood ho's have enough cash in their bank accounts that this is not a consideration for them. These vulgar people could start being concerned about the planet by giving up private planes, and that's just for starters.....!!!!!!!!!!!!!

John Kerry himself admitted that running oil through a pipeline is safer and more economical than transporting it by truck or train, but they have to bow down to celebrities and climate alarmists. Those people have no idea how oil is used in so many other products besides fuel for vehicles and for heat and electricity.

#20 - I read this pipeline would carry the equivalent of 10,000+ rail cars per day. The greenies can't even make a good argument about that at all. Also, the North Dakota and Wisconsin segments of the reroute (this pipeline has been in operation on its original route since the 1960s) are done. Only Minnesota has this hung up.
