In her new book Yoga: My Yoga of Self-Acceptance, the yoga instructor and body activist shares reflective personal essays that touch upon everything from racism to the cultural appropriation of American yoga, from consumerism to cannabis.
Black and white liberals have polluted society as a whole.

Yoga? Methinks she'd be a much better Buddha instructor - she's already got the body habitus down fat, I mean, pat.

Maybe we don't want a morbidly-obese land whale as our yoga instructor. Especially after a pandemic which took the lives of a lot of people who looked like her.

Is it cultural appropriation when a black woman does yoga? Everyone accuses white people of stealing everything, but if a minority does something from another culture, it's ok? If white people shunned everything that people claim is from their culture, they would accuse us of being xenophobic. The US is full of people from all over the world. Of course there is cultural appropriation. The entire country is made up of all cultures mixed together so the entire country is one giant culturally appropriated mess. That's what makes us great!

I am profoundly offended by the cultural appropriation of polka dancing by non Poles, especially at weddings.
The same goes for the chicken dance.
Damn you to hell, you WASPs! And the rest of you non Poles as well.

Stop. Just stop.
Once upon a time America was the great melting pot where culture, traditions, food, entertainment, literature, art etc etc were shared and celebrated. It was encouraged for insight, knowledge, understanding etc. It made us better. Now.........the people who fought and sometimes died for integration, acceptance, inclusion and understanding would be rolling in their graves at what their movement has become. The beneficiaries of their blood, sweat and tears would have integration re-impossed, but with themselves at the top of the food chain.

She needs another line of work. Yoga isn’t working out for her. Maybe she can give swimming lesson to baby whales.

I used to think progressivism was a mental illness. More specifically, I now think it's a personality disorder.

Does this maroon realize how stupid she sounds? Conditioning body and mind doesn’t favor skin color, body type or culture. She IS the one who has APPROPRIATED INDIAN Culture, the word she is bandying about. Yoga came from India, not from Africa!! What a tool

A great many black women look just like that. It s the reason black men have such large Johnsons. It takes a lot of Johnson to get into that. It is evolution proved.

Everything about our society is steeped in white supremacy. Some people may disagree, but it's true because I say so. Evidence? I don't need no stinkin' evidence. Just take my word for it.

As a yogini, and a pale person, I want to weigh in on this one, but I realize I have no chance to carry as much weight on the subject as she does.

An affirmative action yoga instructor. How can this pile of lard do any yoga positions. Is there a beached whale position? Looks like the only position she's mastered is the chow down position. Even the yoga outfit she's wearing is screaming help.

She will become Republican after she learns about where and who yoga came from. The word "yoga" is cognate with English "yoke."
PS: Yoga is available to all sentient beings and cannot be misappropriated on basis of species/accent/tentacle parity.

This qualifies for laugh of the day. I know a few people who are into yoga and all are slim and trim. It might not be the yoga. It might be they just want to look good in those skimpy outfits and keep trim for that reason.

This person is worried about appropriation of American yoga? I think she should worry more about why she would want the world to see that horribly our-of-shape body she is living in. I am really going to take her advice about well-being. She is seriously depressed or angry with herself and taking it out on junk food.
