Fox News host Tucker Carlson hilariously called Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin a "neurotic cat lady" during Thursday night's "Tucker Carlson Tonight" opening monologue. Austin's Twitter account posted a video of the fully-vaccinated defense secretary exiting his plane on Thursday wearing a face shield and a face mask during a visit to the Philippines. Wheels down in the Philippines. pic.twitter.com/S8kjbTKMxW
— Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III (@SecDef) July 29, 2021 The video quickly went viral, for all the wrong reasons. I again have to ask: if the primary goal now is to persuade vaccine

I saw this last night, and had a really good laugh. It’s funny as hell - but it serves to show how bats**t crazy the entire Biden administration is.

Personally, I thought it was a little over the top. Sure, have some fun with it but then get back on course - this is serious business. Instead, he then brought on Mark Steyn who proceeded to deliver several minutes of farcical dialogue on par with a so-so comedy club routine. Come on, man.

Is that a welder's face shield? All that face protection and fist bumping won't do him a bit of good him unless he loses 50 pounds. He is obese.

For those who have no power humor is the most effective means in pointing out injustice. Austin is a danger to the republic. Many Republican senators voted to confirm him. Tucker Carlson and Mark Steyn are to be applauded for mocking this pathetic fool.

Slightly off topic from this neurotic cat lady’s masking, but is Congress considering having women register for the draft because men are no longer volunteering in sufficient numbers for military service? Same question for reenlistments. I have not seen official recruitment numbers, but Biden, his affirmative action appointees and the DoJ’s and FBI sickening pursuit of Trump supporters in the armed forces have to be harming recruitment efforts. “Be all that you can be except a patriot in today’s Army” isn’t a winning slogan.
At moment, our military’s primary role appears to be secretly moving illegal aliens to red states without informing state and local authorities.

I like Lloyd Austin much better in the shield. He should wear it forever. Also, like the civilian suit. He is no military officer. I will say this. He is as bad as the last half dozen Sec of Defenses we have had. They have all been personnel failures.

We are making fun of a military hero, recipient of the Silver Star, the second highest combat bravery award.
(what? he awarded it to himself as a General, for sitting on his azz in Florida ? Really? Are you sure?)
never mind.

The sissified SecDef in the video is trying to teach me something, but I can't figure out what; A. I should wear as many medically unncessary ER artifacts as possible. B. Any of my home-schooled grandsons would make a better SecDef than this guy. All their older family who still live served in all America's wars since 1938 except for me. C. Offend the greatest number of Americans possible by following the non compos mentis Commander in Chief. Decisions decisions decisions.

#24: A technical correction and a comment. The Silver Star is the *3rd* highest award for bravery in combat. 1st = MOH; 2nd is DSC (Distinguished Service Cross) then the Silver Star.
Austin was an Infantry officer. He obviously never earned the Combat Infantryman’s Badge, (CIB) because he wore the The Combat Action Badge (CAB) A United States military award given to soldiers of the U.S. Army of any rank and who are not members of an infantry or special forces unit, for being "present and actively engaging or being engaged by the enemy, and performing satisfactorily in accordance with prescribed rules of engagement". The Infantry School guards award of the CIB assiduously. Actually, he should not have received that badge, because he *was* in an infantry unit.
Austin apparently got a Silver Star for being a general—not for valor in combat.

Even as a Army General, Austin could not have approved a battlefield award for valor like the Silver Star medal for himself. Almost all Silver Star medals are awarded in the Army are to infantrymen who have qualified for the Combat Infantry Badge. Chances are if the Silver Star medal was bestowed on Austin when he was a General Officer stationed in Florida, it was Obama who personally approved that award and presented it to Austin. As far as the instances of battlefield valor that justified an award of the Silver Star medal, a person would have to read the actual citation to determine if the award had merit or not.

It's a typical overbroad citation made for officers who just happened to be there.
" for conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity in connection with military operations against the enemy as Assistant Division Commander for Maneuver, 3d Infantry Division, in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM during the Battle for Baghdad, Iraq, in April 2003. Brigadier General Austin's heroic leadership and dedicated devotion to duty, without regard for his own life,"

OP: That was Mike Dukakis during the '88 campaign looking like Beetle Bailey. John Kerry (who served in Vietnam, by the way) was pictured in a clean suit on his hands and knees egressing a Space Shuttle and looking like a botoxed sperm wriggling away.
