The Illinois State Police accidentally approved a convicted felon for gun ownership and concealed carry licenses, prosecutors said Monday. Now, that man is accused of having a pile of weapons, a Kevlar vest, and over $114,000 worth of pot and heroin in his home.  Chicago police armed with a search warrant raided Tracey Massey’s home in Englewood at 2 a.m. Sunday, authorities said during a bond court hearing Monday. Officers reportedly found a loaded handgun in his family room. But cops really hit pay dirt in the 52-year-old’s second-floor bedroom, according to prosecutors.  There, officers found a loaded 12-gauge shotgun, a loaded “AR-15 style” rifle,  Correction*

Comments:

Ah yes, background checks are so great and never a mistake made with them...and in Illinois to boot....last time I drove through Illinois I took the gun stickers off the back of my Jeep, just in case...

Oh, well. An honest mistake. He was just protecting himself. Drug dealers have to do that, you know. Cops will not protect them. So they must take care of number one.

In just five months, it seems Vice President Kamala Harris has managed to crack the code on illegal immigration. All we have to do to ensure that Central Americans stop illegally crossing our border is to transform the Northern Triangle countries of Honduras, Guatemala, and El Salvador into stable, prosperous democracies. That’s it! That’s the answer!

We previously reported on the troubling expansion of satellite offices of the Capitol Police being planned across the country. Unlike other federal government-related police which are subject to FOIA and part of the executive branch, the Capitol Police are under the control of Congress and not subject to FOIA. So, basically you have a police force controlled by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi spreading out across the country.

A bill that mandates individuals to store away their firearms was passed in the Colorado House earlier this month. HB21-1106 was passed by a 40-25 vote after heated debate on March 8, when Democrats rebuffed all Republican attempts to change the measure. The bill was ostensibly marketed as a “safe storage” measure to keep unauthorized individuals from accessing firearms.

The U.S. House of Representatives passed universal background check gun control Thursday, criminalizing private gun sales conducted apart from an FBI background check. The legislation, H.R. 8, sponsored by Rep. Mike Thompson (D-CA), passed by a vote of 227 to 203. H.R. 8 would expand retail point-of-sale background checks so as to cover private points-of-sale. This will criminalize an individual who sells a 5-shot revolver to a lifelong neighbor, unless that neighbor first undergoes a National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) check, conducted by the FBI.

Gov. DeSantis Introduces ‘Anti-Mob’ Legislation To Allow Floridians To Shoot Rioters And Looters 20 replies

Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has proposed an “anti-mob” bill that would allow residents to shoot rioters and looters who target businesses following nationwide unrest. The law would expand the state’s self-defense law, which currently forbids “the use of force in defense of property,” by increasing what constitutes a “forcible felony,” according to the Miami Herald. DeSantis seeks to make looting or “interruption or impairment” of a business such a felony, thereby justifying deadly force to prevent it, the local outlet reported.

Five of them are in the city’s eleventh aldermanic ward, on the city’s far Southwest Side. Correction:

One of the most obvious misconceptions about liberals today is that they personify tolerance. The Oxford English Dictionary defines tolerance as "the ability or willingness to tolerate something, in particular the existence of opinions or behavior that one does not necessarily agree with. A recent poll by the Survey Center on American Life at the American Enterprise Institute found that Democrats are twice as likely as Republicans to report ending a friendship over a political disagreement (20% versus 10%). Liberals are also "far more likely than conservatives are to say they are no longer friends with someone due to political differences" (28% versus 10%).

The White House would never credit Donald Trump with the vaccine rollout unless there was something negative about the vaccine that is going to hit the newswires; that is a no-brainer. That baseline is why CTH said two months ago to watch for the moment when the White House credits Trump with the vaccine, because that’s the moment when: (1) the vaccine was going to be identified as dangerous; and/or (2) reports would show the vaccine did not work. Today the White House credited President Trump with the vaccine:….And right on cue, the late-evening reporting indicates that tomorrow the CDC will announce the vaccine doesn’t work (against the Delta variant).
