This is the chilling moment four-year-old Cash Gernon was snatched from his bed early Saturday morning just two hours before he was found stabbed to death and dumped on the street in Dallas, Texas. Home surveillance footage obtained exclusively by DailyMail.com shows suspect Darriynn Brown, 18, allegedly breaking into the home just before 5am and making off with the toddler who had been asleep alongside his twin brother Carter. DailyMail.com can also reveal Brown was captured on camera a second time as he returned to the scene after sunrise in an apparent attempt to kidnap the other boy - when Cash would have already been dead.

A new study of COVID-19 vaccine recipients globally should give the public health community a reason to pause on their messaging that everyone needs to be vaccinated regardless of prior infection with the virus. The researchers surveyed slightly more than 2,000 vaccinated individuals who were at least seven days past their first vaccine dose and monitored their reports of side effects and their severity through the vaccination process. They compared the results for recovered patients with a confirmed COVID-19 PCR or antigen test with those who had not had COVID-19. From the study (emphasis mine):
People with prior COVID-19 exposure were largely excluded from the vaccine trials

Gov. Greg Abbott of Texas issued an order on Tuesday that will bar local governments and public schools from having mask mandates, the latest in a string of states issuing similar bans.
“Texans, not government, should decide their best health practices, which is why masks will not be mandated by public school districts or government entities,” the Republican governor said in a statement. “We can continue to mitigate COVID-19 while defending Texans’ liberty to choose whether or not they mask up.”
Under the order, governments or officials trying to institute a mask mandate could face fines up to $1,000 starting Friday.

Axios reports that the Biden administration will waive sanctions on the corporate entity and CEO overseeing the construction of Russia’s Nord Stream 2 pipeline into Germany. This means, in all likelihood, that the pipeline will become operational.
That’s a huge win for Vladimir Putin. Why? For one thing, as Axios says, Russian gas currently has to pass through Ukraine on its way to Europe. Bypassing Ukraine with a direct pipeline to Germany is an opportunity for Russia to advance its goal of isolating its former client state, now a fledgling democracy, from Western Europe.
In addition, the pipeline increases Russian leverage over the rest of Europe.

A conservative group is launching an advertising campaign Tuesday designed to push back against what it sees as "woke capitalism," spending more than $1 million on ads targeting the CEOs of Coca-Cola, American Airlines and Nike.
The ads are sharply critical of the CEOs on a range of issues ranging from childhood obesity to allegations of forced labor in China. Organizers say the campaign, which is being mounted by the conservative group Consumers' Research, is designed to change the thinking in corporate boards around the economic and political costs of getting involved in flashpoint issues such as voting rights.

A new report by the International Energy Agency (IEA) urges investors not to fund new oil, gas or coal projects for the world to reach net-zero emissions by midcentury.
It is the starkest warning yet from the world’s leading energy watchdog to curb fossil fuel use. It is also the most irresponsible.
The Paris-based agency was founded by leading developed countries in response to the energy crises of the 1970s, but its latest report sows the seeds for the next oil shock.
The report, Net-Zero by 2050: A Roadmap for the Global Energy Sector, is just one scenario in a complex policy puzzle that the agency has mapped out.

A Michigan judge on Tuesday threw out a case challenging the 2020 election in Antrim County.
13th Circuit Court Judge Kevin Elsenheimer, a Republican nominee, ruled that plaintiff William Bailey, a resident of Antrim County, had received the relief he sought after he filed the lawsuit last year following the election.
Bailey was seeking an independent audit of Antrim County’s election but Elsenheimer decided that the February risk-limiting audit conducted by county clerks, who reviewed a random sample of some 18,000 ballots, was sufficient under state law.
“There is no right either in the constitutional section or the statue for the independent audit that Mr. Bailey seeks,” Elsenheimer told the court.

President Joe Biden has been moving at breakneck speed to undo every policy of his predecessor that he can, but he seems not to be giving any thought to whether the underlying policy is good.
If former President Donald Trump made it, Biden will unmake it—even if he later has to remake it, as in the case of recently resumed border wall construction.
Among the orders worth retaining that Biden nonetheless axed is Executive Order 13980. That order required agencies that issue regulations with criminal penalties to “be explicit about what conduct is subject to criminal penalties and the ‘mens rea’ standard applicable to those offenses.”

CHOP, also known as the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone (CHAZ), came from a violent conflict with the police. It directly caused the violent murders of two Black teenagers, the shootings of two others, attempted rape of a deaf woman, multiple assaults, vandalism, a riot, and more.
Celebrate CHOP? It is a stain on our city.

States throughout the American southeast are in a full-blown gas crisis.
Some gas stations are raising prices to ridiculous levels while many of them don’t even have any gas. As all of this is unfolding, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer has decided that now is the perfect time to shut down an oil pipeline from Canada. Why?

U.S. airlines may begin weighing passengers at gates for flights involving smaller aircraft in order to comply with new Federal Aviation Administration rules aimed at addressing the reality that Americans are getting fatter, according to an industry website.“For safety reasons, carriers need to calculate an aircraft’s weight and balance, and it has to be within allowable limits for the plane,” View From The Wing reported last week. “However the assumptions they’ve been using for passengers are outdated. Americans are getting fatter, and the federal government wants airlines to find out how much fatter their passengers have gotten, at least for smaller aircraft.”

Amazon is in talks to buy Hollywood studio MGM in what could be a huge salvo in the ongoing streaming wars.Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, the last standalone American studio, which owns storied franchises such as the James Bond and Rocky stable of films, would significantly bulk up Amazon's catalog, giving it a huge boost for its Prime Video service to compete against the likes of Netflix, Hulu and Disney+ Amazon could pay between $7 billion and $10 billion for the studio, the Information reported, citing sources close to the matter. The studio itself has been shopping itself around for around $9 billion,

It seems to be a bit of a struggle for Team Biden to get on the same page between prioritizing energy pipelines and the sudden move to ditch masks amid the coronavirus pandemic. As the country worries about the recent Colonial Pipeline hack, causing gas prices to skyrocket and putting national security at risk, the administration continues to portray the incident as a nonissue while pushing the vitality of pipelines for fuel transportation.
Meanwhile, Biden’s harsh cancellation of the Keystone XL Pipeline was fully supported by his inner circle, including Department of Energy (DOE) Secretary Jennifer Granholm, who defended the president’s decision during her Jan. 27 confirmation hearing.

Aday before Arizona Senate President Karen Fann's special meeting on the Maricopa County election audit, county officials tried to portray the Republican leader's effort as amateurish at best.
The Board of Supervisors came out swinging Monday in their own special meeting responding to Fann's allegations that contractors found significant irregularities as well as missing data in the ongoing audit.
Maricopa County's Twitter feed joined the fray, sharing portions from a formal letter signed by the five supervisors, Recorder Stephen Richer and Sheriff Paul Penzone, responding to Fann's May 12 letter. The Senate president was not happy to learn about the letter from a reporter who had an early print copy.

Did you hear that Joe Biden’s Department of Justice wanted the Supreme Court to rule that police could search Americans’ homes for firearms — and confiscate them — without a warrant?
In the case of Caniglia vs. Strom, this issue was in play. Had SCOTUS ruled that police could do that, your Second Amendment rights would have been in grave jeopardy.
In March, Biden’s DoJ filed a brief with the Supreme Court in this case. It said:
In its first amicus brief before the Supreme Court, the Department of Justice argued the actions taken by law enforcement to confiscate the petitioner’s firearms without a warrant were “reasonable.”

So here we are, 14 months or so after “two weeks to slow the spread” and “fifteen days to flatten the curve,” finally being allowed out of our jail cells and “permitted” by elected and unelected bureaucrats to breathe fresh air without wearing a slave muzzle. As the prisoners in Don Pizarro’s dungeons sing in Beethoven’s mighty opera, Fidelio: “Oh what joy, in the open air / Freely to breathe again!”
How did you enjoy your first taste of totalitarianism, America? And for your own good, too!

Whenever Joe Glickman heads out for groceries, he places an N95 mask over his face and tugs a cloth mask on top of it. He then pulls on a pair of goggles. He has used this safety protocol for the past 14 months. It did not change after he contracted the coronavirus last November. It didn’t budge when, earlier this month, he became fully vaccinated. And even though President Biden said on Thursday that fully vaccinated people do not have to wear a mask, Mr. Glickman said he planned to stay the course. In fact, he said, he plans to

The apparent suicide plunge of U.S. Representative Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) appears to be the psychopathic backlash of NeverTrumpers who are starting to realize Donald Trump’s defeat in November and the allegations he was attempting to overturn the election by provoking an “insurrection” at the Capitol on January 6 do not bring back the Republican Party of the Bushes and McCain and Romney, as those families seem to imagine. This is only the first shoe dropping. It will soon be followed by the realization of the role the NeverTrumpers have played in shackling the country and the Western world to the unfolding disaster of the Biden presidency.

Military officials are trained to stand silently on the sidelines of politics, saying nothing but what relates to their mission, whatever it might be. But a recent open letter signed by 124 former flag-level officers warning of the dangerous effects of our nation’s sharp sudden turn to the left overturns that tradition. What do they know that the rest of us don’t?
The letter was not couched in military jargon or bureaucratese; it was plain-spoken and blunt in its concern about America’s course.

For many Americans, the violent clash between Israel and Hamas sparks an understandable sense of having seen it all before. While it’s true there is a long, bloody history between the combatants, the current fighting is unique in ways that make the endgame especially crucial for the Jewish state and the entire region.
The most obvious change is that Hamas increased its rocket capacity, both in numbers and range. In previous battles, the relative handful of explosives launched from Gaza were a threat only to Israelis near the border.
This time, more than 2,000 rockets and mortars have been fired.

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Gov. Henry McMaster said Monday he signed into law a bill allowing people with concealed weapons permits from the state to carry their guns in the open. McMaster posted on Twitter that he was keeping his promise to sign any bill that protects or expands gun rights.
The proposal allows so-called open carry of guns for people who undergo training and background checks so they can keep guns hidden under a jacket or other clothing or in their vehicle anywhere there isn't a sign prohibiting it.
The law takes effect in 90 days.

CANONSBURG, PA. — Thirty years ago, Jason Capps was a young man with ambition, but when he looked around this town near Pittsburgh, where he grew up, all he saw were opportunities slipping away. The coal mines where his father worked were dying; the glass, steel and manufacturing industries were on their last legs.
In 1987, when Capps graduated from high school, the unemployment rate was at a staggering 12%.
“My ability to carve out a future here was limited at best, impossible at worst,” he said. “So I left.”

Vice President Kamala Harris keeps a list of reporters and other political types who might be racist, according to a profile published in the Atlantic on Monday.
"The vice president and her team tend to dismiss reporters. Trying to get her to take a few questions after events is treated as an act of impish aggression," writes Edward-Isaac Dovere. "And Harris herself tracks political players and reporters whom she thinks don't fully understand her or appreciate her life experience."
That list presumably includes the people at Vogue magazine, who managed to enrage libs by putting Harris on the cover earlier this year. It remains unclear why the libs became enraged;
