Whenever Joe Glickman heads out for groceries, he places an N95 mask over his face and tugs a cloth mask on top of it. He then pulls on a pair of goggles. He has used this safety protocol for the past 14 months. It did not change after he contracted the coronavirus last November. It didn’t budge when, earlier this month, he became fully vaccinated. And even though President Biden said on Thursday that fully vaccinated people do not have to wear a mask, Mr. Glickman said he planned to stay the course. In fact, he said, he plans to

I have no problem with someone wearing a mask for the rest of their life. Just don't try to bully me into participation in your fear. If you trust your mask and your vaccine, I should be of no threat to you. I kind of like the easy identification of a crazy person or leftist lemming from a distance. I can see them coming and just keep my distance.

Insanity and logic do not get along well together in the same mind as Joe Biden has proven to us. The mask has become like the cross against the vampire except that the cross works. Have you been attacked by a vampire lately? I have done the exact opposite of Mr. Glickman, worn a mask only when required in a store where I really needed something and it was required and WILL NOT take their Gates vaccine. When I see masked people walking alone outside or driving their car masked, windows up, all I can do is shake my head.

These masks are becoming a security blanket. If a mask is needed after being vaccinated what purpose is the vaccine serving? I don't recall people wearing a mask after getting a flu shot before covid. But the left doesn't want us to go back to normal they want total control over us.

Yet she got covid and had a terrible time of it. I am 9 years older and was out and about. I wore a cloth mask but went about my normal life as much as I could. I never got the covid. I'm waiting to see how many businesses will still require facemasks. In particular the airlines. If a person wants to wear a mask, it is up to them. I can see someone fighting chronic illness continue to wear a mask. My own personal story is I have gone over 18 months without any kind of flu, head cold, or chest cold, and by extension no bouts of irregular heartbeat which would tend to crop up when I fight a bug. That has never happened before, and I would very much like to know what I have been doing differently that caused such a change. I'm in Florida instead of New York where there is no real winter so fewer flus. Doctor took me off a medication that contributed to the irregular heartbeat. The lockdown meant I interacted with fewer people so less likely to pick something up from someone else. Than there is the social distancing and facemasks which I doubt played as much of a role. The thing is if a facemask really did contribute, I would continue to wear one.

These people are bat-#@$! crazy. While I find their insanity amusing, these people are dangerous. Especially the retired but now substituing kindergarten teacher. If she gets her way, she'll keep 5-6 year olds masked all year long just so she doesn't catch the sniffles (not COVID, she doesn't want to catch anything). FTA: Leni Cohen, 51, a retired kindergarten teacher from New York City who has a compromised immune system, said she planned to continue wearing a mask when she helped out as a substitute teacher. But what she would like more is for her students to stay masked. “Kindergartners, while adorable, are quick to share their secretions,” Ms. Cohen wrote in an email listing the illnesses, including colds, strep throat, pneumonia, influenza and parvovirus, that she has caught from her students over the years. “This year is so different!” she continued. “The kids are not sucking on their hair or putting classroom objects or thumbs in their mouths. Their mouths and noses are covered, so I’m (mostly) protected from their sneezes and coughs. I can see keeping up with masks. It is the safest I’ve ever felt in a classroom full of 5- and 6-year-olds.”

A kindergarten teacher who wants her 5 and 6 year old students to continue wearing facemasks for her own personal wellbeing? Has she thought this out? Does she really want to give others that kind of power over her, much less little kids? What is she going to do if the children refuse to put them on? Flee the classroom? The children would love that. She is in charge of her own safety, and nobody else. If this is such a big deal to her, perhaps she needs a new career where she doesn't have to interact with anyone. Good luck with that.

WASHINGTON -- U.S. home construction fell a surprisingly sharp 9.5% in April and economists attributed that partially to builders who delayed projects because of a surge in lumber prices and other supply constraints. The April decline left construction at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 1.57 million units, the Commerce Department said Tuesday. That was down from a rate of 1.73 million units in March, which had been the best showing since homes were constructed at a rate of 1.74 million units in July 2006 at the peak of that decade's housing boom. They're a bad memory for Americans old enough to remember the 1970s - but they're also likely causing a few sleepless nights in the White House, as the United States' economic recovery from the unprecedented coronavirus recession hits some bumps. The jolts are dampening consumer confidence, ramping up inflation fears, and helping Republicans build their case against President Joe Biden and his ambitious plans to revamp the U.S. economy with trillions in new spending. As the 1970s show, high joblessness and rising prices the United States saw in April can be a potent political force.

A four-year-old US boy was snatched from his bed and brutally murdered in an act of “evil”, police believe. Cash Gernon had been sleeping in his crib when he was abducted and killed with an “edged weapon”, police say. Gernon’s body was inexplicably left in the street about 800 meters from his southwest Dallas home and was found by a passerby. The suspect in the murder, 18-year-old Darriynn Brown, was arrested and charged in relation to the death.

Dr. Anthony Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergies and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), has worn a mask outside two days in a row despite being vaccinated against COVID-19 and telling Americans they can lose their masks after getting their shots. Fauci recently told Americans they could ditch facial coverings after getting vaccinated against COVID-19 and has been vaccinated since January. However, the NIAID director has been caught rocking a face mask outside the past two days, even though he told vaccinated people himself that they no longer need to wear masks outside.

I’ve shied away from reporting on events in Maricopa because it would require more hours than I have in a day to track intelligently the back-and-forth in that recount. My touchstone there is the fact that the Democrats’ and NeverTrumpers’ ferocious efforts to stop the count strike me as the actions of people with something to hide. (snip) Events in a small town in New Hampshire, though, are more interesting because a low-key audit may reveal serious election anomalies harming Republicans.
