The country’s deadliest wildfire in a century left the small Northern California town of Paradise with almost nothing.
According to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, the Camp Fire ravaged 153,336 acres in Butte County over 17 days in November 2018 while demolishing 18,804 buildings and killing 85 people.
“Literally our entire town was decimated,” said April Kelly, manager of Nic’s Restaurant in Paradise. “There was really nowhere to go.”

What a great story! Thanks for posting. We watched a recorded Jeopardy last night and judged him to be a terrific host. We’ve always been fans of his quarterbacking. It is interesting to see all these other facets emerge..

He's not a good fit for this job. Might be a nice guy but not nearly enough enthusiasm for the job to host Jeopardy.

Bless his heart, he seems like a really nice guy, and is really doing good with his stint hosting Jeopardy as far as raising money for a good cause.
But we have watched a few of his episodes (after boycotting Jeopardy during the time that lie-beral hose-beast Katie Couric was hosting) , and we can't stay awake for the entire show. Other than a few pretty funny football related jokes, he is so monotone in his presentation. I think he is smart enough to become the host, and he clearly has the work ethic to do the needed preparation, but he really, really needs an acting coach to teach him how to interject some personality into his voice!!!

We record then watch Jeopardy every night. Our favorite guest host is the Jeopardy producer. Aaron Rodgers is our second favorite. He’s smart and funny. We’re so glad he is helping small businesses in his home town. Classy guy.

I agree that Rodgers is an excellent host for Jeopardy. I have great fondness for this part of California, where the people embody that old time California spirit. Aaron Rodgers is my idea of what an American Hero is. The touching stories of the grantees were so inspiring. Those green and gold M&Ms moved me, especially.

If only people knew the devastation and destruction and death caused by Pacific Gas and Electric that day due to a history of carelessness and negligence...killing 86 people and causing us to literally run for our lives while the howling winds blew and the pines erupted in a fire storm so deadly.
We lost everything but our car and our lives that day..
2 years and 5 months later we still wait..
PG&E hasn’t “settled” with ANY of us yet.
We lost everything..home, possessions, our neighborhood, our town...
And PG&E still operates daily in that state!
Here’s a good read about it...

Both Rodgers and David Portnoy, Barstool Sports, have been a blessing for numerous small business owners.

#2, he'll be going back to football soon. I agree that he was a little deadpan (of course, so was Trebek), but remember, he has a day job.

I think Aaron Rogers should be the next Jeopardy Host. Yes, he isn't Mr personality, but it isn't about him. It's about the contestants. He has gotten much better this week and seems more relaxed infront of the camera. I'd love to know the rating for the time that he's been on compared to the other "guest hosts".
Rogers, Portnoy and Guy Fieri all have done wonderful work helping those who need it.

Rodgers has not had much competition. Most of the other fill in hosts have been leftists. My sister enjoys the show. I have requested a review, but have not received a response.

For all the zillionaire pro athletes, some actually accept a responsibility to share the wealth. Rodgers is doing this in his hometown of Chico, California. Others should take note of the example. Not every pro athlete is a jerk or a wastrel.
