A New York grand jury has indicted the Trump Organization and its chief financial officer with tax-related crimes that will be made public Thursday in court, people familiar with the matter said, marking the first criminal charges against the former president’s company since prosecutors began investigating it three years ago.
The charges against the company and longtime CFO Allen Weisselberg are a blow to former President Donald Trump, who has fended off multiple criminal and civil probes during and after his presidency. But the initial charges won’t implicate Mr. Trump himself, his lawyer said...

This is pure BS and political lawfare. How can they possibly get a fair trial in NYC or DC?

The left will never stop. The are relentless like the Borg. If they cannot destroy Trump personally, they will destroy him professionally and financially.
You cannot reason with this enemy. They must be destroyed.

If there is a tax issue, why not audit the man's returns and send him a bill for any underpayments, like the IRS does with others. This is nothing but political persecution. The prosecutors would have an issue with the IRS, if their tax returns were audited.

There's such a thing as "Malicious Prosecution" and this time the NY AG needs to be himself hauled into Court on charges.

Grand juries do not indict. Grand jury decides whether there is enough evidence to indict. If the GJ decides there is not enough evidence to indict, the Prosecutor cannot indict on such charges. Prosecutors sometimes put an intentionally weak case before the GJ and hope for a "No Bill" decision from the GJ. If the GJ finds there is enough evidence to indict on charge A but "No Bills" charge B, the prosecutor then decides whether to indict on charge B.

Will Vance claim that Weisselberg didn't pay taxes on some things? Sure. The defense will be that they were all legally allowed per some obscure tax rule per Weisselberg 's army of accountants and attorneys. I hope they can quote chapter and verse each rule and law and make Vance look like the partisan hack he is.

But clueless Republicans like Senators Blackburn, Tom Cotton, Capito, etc act as if its good old politics as usual trying to reach across the aisle whereas the Left - it's a war of annihilation.

Here beginneth the avalanche. Trump crossed the Rubicon with his recent rally. Remember how many advocated going after the small fry to get convictions on the big fish...just watch how this is twisted in that fashion.
