The Biden team has now announced a second “migrant facility” being reopened for kids in Homestead, Florida.
They are needing to reopen more facilities because of Joe Biden’s own words which illegal aliens have taken as an open invitation to come surging into the United States again. But what’s incredibly ironic about the opening of this facility is that it’s the very same facility that Kamala Harris visited in 2019, along with a host of other Democratic candidates running for president including Pete Buttigieg, Julian Castro, Kirsten Gillibrand, Marianne Williamson, Elizabeth Warren, John Hickenlooper, Bill de Blasio, and Tulsi Gabbard. Harris said that Homestead was a “human rights abuse”
President Joe Biden’s deputies are dropping many poor migrants with coronavirus into Americans’ neighborhoods, according to a report in the New York Times.
On February 23, the newspaper reported a statement about the drop-offs they say came from Juan “Trey” Mendez, the mayor of Brownsville:
“If it’s several hundred overnight, then that’s something that would become overwhelming for us,” said Mr. Mendez. “The administration is very well aware of that — we’ve conveyed that on numerous occasions.”
Elsewhere on the border, local officials are decrying the administration’s policy of dumping the poor migrants into Americans’ neighborhoods.
Last weekend I wrote about the resignation of Smith College staffer Jodi Shaw. Shaw had been battling the school since last year when she announced in a YouTube video that she was tired of her employer “reducing my personhood to a racial category.” Shaw, who is white and liberal, said that ever since an incident in 2018 when a black student accused a white staffer of racism the school had embraced a strain of critical race theory which emphasized identity politics. (Snip) Previously, the Chicago Police Department was allowed to cooperate with Immigration and Customs Enforcement if individuals were in the city's gang database, had an outstanding criminal warrant, had been convicted of a felony or had a felony charge pending.

The Biden administration is working to free billions of dollars in Iranian assets currently frozen in South Korea, the country’s Yonhap news agency reported on Tuesday.
There is currently about $7 billion in Iranian assets frozen in two banks based in Seoul, blocked by U.S. economic sanctions. Korea’s foreign ministry confirmed on Tuesday that a deal had been reached to free those assets.

Last month, President Biden signed a series of executive orders undermining fossil fuels, on the grounds the “climate crisis” forced his hand. “We can’t wait any longer. We see with our own eyes. We know it in our bones. It is time to act.”
Within days, most of the country was seeing “with our own eyes” and feeling “in our bones” a cold wave so severe that five million people lost electricity and, in a special irony, nearly half of the ballyhooed wind turbines in Texas, which had risen to supply 23% of her energy, were left frozen (and inoperable).
On paper, the Democrats have a tenuous hold on power in Washington. Their president is a cipher with severely diminished mental capacities, the Senate is a 50-50 tie, and they hold the narrowest House majority in decades. Nevertheless, the Democrats see what could be a once in a lifetime opportunity, and are pressing forward with their most radical agenda since they seceded in 1861.

Last week, I visited South Florida for four days, and what a shock: Everything was open. The beaches, the hotels, the restaurants (with some sensible safety and social distancing restrictions). The classrooms are full.
The other strange thing about being in Florida was that people were happy. They were playing tennis and golf. They were going to work and getting on with their lives. Florida is a Republican, can-do kind of place.
Then, there is New York. Manhattan is a morose and deserted place to be. It's as if it's boarded up. People are living their lives afraid. They are depressed, which makes the whole place depressing.
