“Let’s play strip poker.”
I should have been shocked by the Governor’s crude comment, but I wasn’t.
We were flying home from an October 2017 event in Western New York on his taxpayer-funded jet. He was seated facing me, so close our knees almost touched. His press aide was to my right and a state trooper behind us.
“That’s exactly what I was thinking,” I responded sarcastically and awkwardly. I tried to play it cool. But in that moment, I realized just how acquiescent I had become.
Governor Andrew Cuomo has created a culture within his administration where sexual harassment and bullying is so pervasive

Cuomo looks like a sleezy pig. When I was sixteen my first boss was like this. I need the job because I was saving for a car and at the time. It was the only place in town. I also told my mother. She told me not to ever be alone with him, and the next time he said something, creepily similar to Cuomo's "innocent" comments go to personnel. Another girl and I did go to the woman who ran the personnel department and while we were there she called him in too. He laughed it off saying we were just mad that he had cut our hours. She did nothing. My mom said that if I wouldn't quit, to document every creepy remark, with the date, time, and who was around that might have overheard. One day we were on the sales floor and he was making crude sexual innuendo and groaning. A customer overheard and went ballistic. She caused a scene and demanded a supervisor. That was the last I saw of him. I never was interested in what became of him and, after he was gone other women and girls came forward. This all happened in 1973. For all the mandatory "sexual harassment" seminars over the years a sleezeball will always be a sleezeball. I'll bet his father was a pig too.
I also worked for male bosses over the years who were always respectful and encouraging. I still keep in touch with them.

...and also one who criticized and criticizes Pres. Trump for being a Conservative. They tried to pin everything in the book on him when their guilt was right in front of them. Shame on the MSM for not picking up on this and for giving him an Emmy. Considering this, the Emmy is worthless just like Cuomo.

Cuomo must have really ticked off someone. All these negatives are now coming out. A short time ago these types of criticism would have been stifled. I wonder if it means he will not be running for President?

Okay, so Cuomo is a Democrat and acts like a normal Democrat. This isn't news, and I have no sympathy for someone who has carried Democrat water. The Democrats really are that bad, and to pretend otherwise is due solely to your own willful ignorance.

Joe Biden raped Tara Reade.
So, none of this matters, until it suddenly matters. I'm trying to wrap my head around why it is that Republican men can never get away with this kind of behavior. This culture of sexual harassment and lack of accountability never seems to exist within Republican power circles. They get busted, always.

OK, Andrew Cuomo is a letch. To be classified as a letch is street cred for Democrat politicians. See Ted Kennedy, Chris Dodd, Robert Menedez, Bill Richardson, Bill Clinton. What else is new? Nothing will happen to Cuomo. Sorry It's the way it is.

In the traditional Mafia, this Cuomo character would have never been anything but a low level street soldier not unlike the character played by Joe Pesce in "Goodfellas" but he somehow managed to get the power of the law behind him. He is a governor but he can not hide the fact that he is a piece of dirt. His brother is just as obnoxious.
Disclaimer: I am a big guy with considerable defense skills and have never been in a position like these women have but I teach the stuff. I run a ladies kickboxing class and teach the philosophy behind using force to stop an attacker. The first thing I teach is that no job or husband is worth having to put up with abuse, whether it be physical, mental or sexual. Quit on the spot, report the activity immediately and let the pieces fall where they may. There are plenty of good jobs and husbands out there. If the guy has abused you, chances are good that he has abused others. Get it out in public immediately and go to HR. Others he has abused will come forward and there are always others. If the guy gets physical don't worry about hurting him, kick his nads up into his stomach, take his eyes out, whatever, the retaliation is well deserved. It's tough being defensive on the job but set the boundaries immediately, insist the office door remains open, don't accept invitations to dinner, drinks or hotel room meetings. Make it a point to meet the guy's wife. Avoid joint travel if you can but insist on making it public at all times. Predators are especially agressive when out of town. A good man will understand or not attempt to get you into an unsafe position in the first place. A bad man smells fear and desperation and will use that to his advantage. Stop anything before it gets started and never put up with disrespect.

interesting but same old same old re power is seductive . those who labor in it’s shadow know it but do a trade off . First it is flattering and improves one’s position . a benefit . Look at wholywrird .. only aging actresses complain after their ingenue careers are over . They were ok till cast ( pun) aside for younger , newer faces .. Then rage , is it shame or seeking attention by whistlng for attention still ?
Will the writer rethink voting for a dem ? or will pride of place for “doing something” in a corrupt gov’t still beguile her ?

As with everything, our own experiences color our reactions and opinions. As someone who has experienced this kind of unwanted attention, I sympathize and applaud the push-back and exposure of character that may save others from having to go through the same experience, and may teach perpetrators that they are wrong in pursuing such behavior. I also am definitely not a man-hater. It's too easy to lump all bad behavior-exhibiting people into categories that don't fit right. To me, it's kinda like one person one vote, only it's one person one experience. I think it's more work to look at life this way, but it's also more honest in the long run. I'm not talking about Cuomo, because I don't know him, but people can and do change. If we don't give them that chance, what are we?

Would love to hear Sandra Lee's take on this news. I bet she could add a lot.
I believe she found out what a sleaze he is, and why she left.

Dems don’t care. My sister says Trump is a pig...so I say “what about Bill Clinton”...she changes the subject. Dems are just basically sick, soulless hypocrites. They don’t care unless it gets the “other side” in trouble.

Amen, #14. I used to teach self defense for women and the first thing I told them is - always fight back. If you don’t you’ve already lost. And my go-to spot of anatomy if in a serious situation is the Adam’s Apple. The guy won’t be expecting it and it can be deadly.

Sounds like Cuomo took a page out of China Joe's playbook when it comes to inappropriately touching women.
