A Senior Republican Senate source has confirmed to Gateway Pundit that Senator Mitt Romney is leading an effort to block Senator Ron Johnson from subpoenaing James Comey and John Brennan.
Johnson, the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Chair, said during a radio appearance on Wednesday that fellow Republicans were blocking him from subpoenaing the former FBI Director and former CIA Director, among other figures involved in the scandal.

Say what you will about Rudy Giuliani, but his toughness led to New York’s revival.

President Trump announced Monday that Dr. Scott Atlas is joining the White House Coronavirus Task Force. Dr. Atlas is a former chief of neuroradiology at Stanford University Medical Center and a senior fellow at Stanford’s Hoover Institution. Before joining the team, Atlas penned an op-ed in The Hill that showed his approach to the coronavirus outbreak is much different than that of Anthony “Chicken Little” Fauci, who favors draconian lockdowns and now wants people to wear goggles to avoid getting a virus that most people recover from easily.
The Ronald McDonald House in Streeterville was among the establishments targeted during looting in Chicago early Monday morning. The facility provides a home and resources to families while a child receives treatment at local hospitals.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell argued on Monday that Democratic leaders view the coronavirus pandemic as a political "opportunity" to "bail out" states such as New Jersey, adding that Republicans are willing to support another coronavirus stimulus plan that includes funding for other areas.
McConnell said the Senate GOP's coronavirus relief package "focused on kids, jobs, healthcare, and legal protections to help our country reopen," as well as another round of direct stimulus payments.
Well, that happened. To the surprise of a very few, Joe Biden chose Sen. Kamala Harris as his running mate. Our very own VodkaPundit called it back in May. I had been on the Harris veep wagon for a very long time but shifted in recent weeks to Susan Rice, because I thought that would help Biden get the Obamas to be a little more enthusiastic about him.
All the while, however, I kept hoping aloud that it would be Harris because — for reasons I’ll go over in this column — I thought that would be the choice that most benefits President Trump.
The Democratic Party press has been assuring us breathlessly that the Republicans are in deep trouble, cruising toward a disaster in November. At the same time, they assiduously avoid mentioning that the party with the real problem is their own. The Democrats’ nominee is suffering from an advanced case of dementia that makes it difficult for him to appear in public. The party’s leaders, to the extent they have any, are undoubtedly strategizing ways of getting him off the ticket following their “convention”–which they won’t actually hold. An unbiased observer might think it is the Democrats, not the Republicans, who have reason to fear the voters’ verdict this Fall.
