Social media presents all sorts of problems, one of which is people deceptively presenting themselves for applause and profit. Turns out a wokester would-be Kardashian among this set, who'd presented herself as a rarified Calabasas-style sylph, of smooth complexion and long false eyelashes, is actually a puffy-faced gal who looks a helluva lot older than even her actual age of 39 (snip) Simona Andrea Arteaga, 39, an "equity & inclusion advocate" & social media model, was arrested at the violent #antifa protest in Portland on 11 Aug. She's charged w/felony assault & more. Photo on left is from FB. Photo on right is booking photo.

Comments:

I literally laughed out loud looking at the photos.

Oopsey. There goes her career as a Kardashian. Not that the goal was all that high. If Playboy needed a marketing boost they could do a special - The Girls of Antifa. Then the entire world would see what downright dogs they all are. My sincere apologies to all dogs, who are much better creatures than these horrible goons.

Imagine what Kamala Harris looks like, rolling out of bed in the morning, after a hard night! No, I can't force myself to do it. Someone with a stronger constitution than me must do it.

The only problem I see is that this witch was booked on felony assault, and because it is Portlandia, she will probably have charges dropped immediately. This ugly witch should spend a year or two in prison.

Always amusing when a low-life gets booked for a stupid crime and their look-at-me social media photos are then shared with the general population. Love getting the last laugh.

Even before the Democrat presidential candidate, Joe Biden, named his choice for vice president, a group of Democrat Party activists released an unprecedented document outlining their "rules" for how the media could address issues surrounding the woman Biden ultimately chose. These guidelines made it abundantly clear that the media were "required" to handle Biden's choice with kid gloves. (snip) She has three strikes against her that are a death knell for her prospects. There is no way, after these strikes, she should be anywhere near a heartbeat or a brain flare away from the presidency of America.

It’s no secret that Kamala Harris got a leg up in California politics because she dated Willie Brown. (snip) why is Willie Brown, one of the smartest people in politics, warning Kamala away from the vice presidency? Willie Brown is doing so because he knows that Franklin Roosevelt was the only vice-presidential candidate on a ticket that failed to have later gone on to win the White House. Roosevelt was the Democrat candidate for vice president in 1920 when Warren G. Harding ran on a “return to normalcy.” Roosevelt eventually won the presidency in 1932. Other than FDR, being a losing vice presidential candidate is political death.

In reading George Will’s recent column (“The Difference between Trumpism and fascism”), I was struck by a few things: his elitist anti-Trump tone, his denigration of the President’s supporters and his lack of understanding of Donald Trump’s appeal. The thing which struck me most, however, was not a failure to know the past, but his inability to apply the lessons of history to the present. He recites the basics of the history of fascism while completely missing how that history applies to the current situation.

The mission of public health is to recommend policies and utilize procedures to ensure the health of a population and keep leaders from getting fired — or voted out of office. Ensuring a thriving economy and environment free of violence is the responsibility of civilian government authorities. Andrew Cuomo's got a load of nerve. Imagine being one of the relatives of the thousands of elderly nursing home residents who died as a result of their residences becoming sealed incumbators for COVID, which Andrew Cuomo literally ordered. In life, we encounter things which may work in theory, but not in practice. Communism is famously one of those things. Time travel is another. With any luck, Americans will soon come to realize that strict social distancing, economic lockdowns, and mask-wearing all belong in that category of supposedly sound ideas that simply don’t work in reality. For evidence, let’s look to Sweden. As Dr. Malcolm Kendrick, an ER doctor at a hospital in Stockholm, writes on his blog, “COVID is over in Sweden. People have gone back to their normal lives and barely anyone is getting infected anymore.”

Nobody has benefitted more from the riots destroying retail stores in major cities than Amazon, which has seen the bricks and mortar competition shrinking even faster than before. And the company, founded by Jeff Bezos, has not been shy about donating $10 million to “organizations supporting justice and equity,” and subsequently increasing the total to $17 million by matching employee donations. If Bezos thought that such virtue signaling would buy immunity for his Amazon empire from the mobs, he was mistaken. Less than 2 hours ago, Andy Ngo posted video of a Seattle mob attacking an Amazon-owned Whole Foods retail outlet

Hillary Clinton’s loss of the 2016 presidential election to Donald Trump was so traumatic for members of the Democrat elite that a form of PTSD appears to have taken hold, relegating all memory of the candidacy itself to amnesia. A day after looters smashed-in retailer’s windows, carried away loads of high-end merchandise and overwhelmed police officers in downtown Chicago, Mayor Lori Lightfoot says the violence was an organized raid and not a demonstration of angry protest. “When people showed up on Michigan Avenue in the downtown area with U-Haul trucks and cargo vans, and sophisticated equipment used to cut metal, and the methods that were used, and how quickly it got spun up… that wasn’t any spontaneous reaction,” Lightfoot told TIME in her fifth-floor offices at Chicago’s City Hall on Tuesday.

Crime, taxes, disease, and an anti-science approach to social distancing have chased a number of big retailers and restaurateurs out of New York forever, reports the far-left New York Times. “In the heart of Manhattan, national chains including J.C. President Trump continues to be his own worst enemy: On Thursday, he stooped to calling presumptive vice-presidential nominee Kamala Harris a “mad woman.” That doesn’t promote his agenda. It doesn’t help him with women. It doesn’t shore up his image as worthy of the nation’s highest office. It’s just, as Trump would say, mean and nasty. Sure, Harris isn’t the first target of Trump’s ad hominem attacks or over-the-top language. But making everything personal is unbecoming. It turns off voters who like his policies but dislike his rhetoric.
