Black community blaming ‘racism’

Some members of the African American community say racism prompted Seattle's first Black female police chief to retire. They are blaming one of Seattle's most diverse city councils ever. They point out there are no Black people on the City Council for the first time since the 1960s. And they believe racism forced Carmen Best to leave her job as the city's top cop. Seattle Police Chief Carmen Best wouldn't call out the Seattle City Council. "Yeah, I'm not using that harsh word," she said. Neither would Mayor Jenny Durkan, her boss. "They wanted to micromanage and play mini-police chief," was all Durkan

bLACK people, unique among the races, collectively refuse to abide the generally agreed norms of society, to include not reacting with hostility and defiance when dealing with the police. This is the fault of WHITE people and the police, they demand that the police be disbanded, and when the black police chief resigns, that also is the fault of WHITE people. Marxism is confusing; am I reading this correctly?

Well, lie-berals run everything in the Soviet Socialist Republic of Seattle. And lie-berals have proven themselves to be the biggest racists on Earth right now. So that sounds pretty accurate to me...

they are blaming racism because with some people it's always about race. What they don't understand is that she is being punished because she is not a Socialist and she dared to stand up for her officers. Until the black community understands that it ain't about race and that they are being used by the Communist revolutionaries, they will remain powerless pawns.

They are right but it is BLM racism and white cowardice which is at fault. I can handle anger and screaming but tolerance of looting and violence invites its escalation until the only solution is overwhelming force. Won't that set the MSM a'howling?

At its website, BLM supports defunding the police. Liberal demonstrators marched daily in Seattle demanding to defund the police. The City Council voted to defund the police. Chief Best resigned. stating that she could not oversee the dismantling of the police department. She also had fought with the Council over the use of standard crowd control tools. Now blacks are saying she resigned because of racism on the City Council. Seriously?

If you defund the police, you defund the police administrators. She wasn’t up for a pay cut. Someone at LCom compared her “new wages” to what a previous (white) chief was being paid. Apples to oranges as there was no overall “defund the police” change taking place back then. It had nothing whatsoever to do with race except that the protesters/radical rioters were involved in racism when they called for defunding the police. All because a thug/druggie George Floyd killed himself by ODing… Photos today from a Minneapolis police training publication shows officers doing exactly what the four did with Floyd. The “kneeling” description is incorrect. What is shown is that the so-called “kneeler” is actually squatting with a knee out above the side of the subject’s neck. as a restraint to keep the subject from rearing up with his head. All of this in connection with belief that the subject is in Excited Delirium, a potentially fatal condition if they thrash around. They must be kept physically quiet. Minneapolis training material here with photos. There is no kneeling. The man is squatting with his weight on his feet. You be the judge.

What a load. She saw the handwriting on the wall--she was expected to manage the Seattle police while the obviously whack city council limits her right and left from actually managing as she thinks best. She's getting out before she develops a record of management failure due to the constraints of the system being imposed upon her by the city council loco's.

I believe their police chief retired because she mostly refused to lay off 100 of her officers and take the heat when somebody tried to shoot the mayor. On top of which she probably just got tired of mobs outside of her home every night. I'm with you chief.

They are correct. Black racism expressed in criminality and refusal to support the people who protect them from their own sociopaths results in law enforcement quitting in disgust. Blacks who refuse to accept responsibility for anything are responsible for the collapse of black culture. Coming to replace them are other cultures that have a better handle on their own shortcomings.

A federal appeals court in New Orleans on Thursday ruled that the all-male military draft system is constitutional, pointing to a 1981 decision by the U.S. Supreme Court. The case, which was argued in March, stemmed from a lawsuit filed by two men with the National Coalition for Men who had challenged the historic male-only draft. They had argued that the 1981 case was outdated and was ruled on when women were not as involved in combat as many are today. The 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals rule that “only the Supreme Court may revise its precedent.”

Revelations last week that this spring’s $576 million unemployment fraud, the largest in state history, started much earlier than previously acknowledged have spurred a storm of new questions over the handling of the crime. Data released Aug. 3 by the state Employment Security Department (ESD) shows that criminals were filing fake claims in the first week of March. That’s more than two months before ESD publicly disclosed the fraud and temporarily froze benefit payments, in mid-May, by which time a staggering 56% of the weekly claims ESD was paying were from criminals, many of them reportedly overseas.

President Trump continues to be his own worst enemy: On Thursday, he stooped to calling presumptive vice-presidential nominee Kamala Harris a “mad woman.” That doesn’t promote his agenda. It doesn’t help him with women. It doesn’t shore up his image as worthy of the nation’s highest office. It’s just, as Trump would say, mean and nasty. Sure, Harris isn’t the first target of Trump’s ad hominem attacks or over-the-top language. But making everything personal is unbecoming.
