A New Jersey gym had its license rescinded during a town vote on Tuesday, ending a long-running saga that saw its owners repeatedly defy a state order to remain closed during the coronavirus pandemic, according to multiple reports. The Bellmawr council in Camden County voted 5 to 1 to rescind the mercantile license of Atilis Gym following an hourlong hearing that featured arguments from lawyers on both sides, according to NJ.com. The decision came amid a monthslong standoff between the gym's owners and Gov. Phil Murphy over the importance of limiting the spread of the virus or the livelihood of local businesses.

It's very simple. These guys defied the governor, right or wrong, but Murphy couldn't let these guys win. He had to show that he was the boss. Thus, they had their license rescinded. Story over for now.

Antifa can shut you down with fire, smashed windows, and projectiles. Local government can shut down with a piece of paper. They both had the same end goals.

Further proof that the Commucrats should be outlawed and current members barred from further public self-service.

And WHY should a gym need a license to begin with? This is the real problem - allowing the state too much needless authority over our lives. That which is 'bestowed' by the state in order to limit competition can be taken away.

You can riot there or get drunk in a bar, but don't go to the gym, that's a crime.

What a bunch of bullies New Jersey has for government wonks. Especially the council in Belmawr. Imagine trying not only to make them bankrupt, but to also incarcerate the owners. May Atilis Gym prosper and the city council go completely woke and broke.

Get an online ordination in some make believe religion and reopen as a church. No one can interfere with your parishioners right to exercise, I mean, worship as your religion sees fit.

Not much sympathy here. These guys were warned enough times. This isn’t going to be the way to fight them, at least not if you don’t have all the other small businesses on board. Sad but true. Vote out the Democrats, try to change the law (as they are in Michigan) or leave the State. Those are your options.
