When Sen. Bob Dole accepted the Republican nomination for president in 1996, his speech hit on the themes of “honor, decency and straight talk.” He proudly mentioned the great Republican Abraham Lincoln and explicitly denounced racism.(Snip)The speech was held up in 2016 as an example of how wonderful Republican candidates for president used to be before Donald Trump. So it’s interesting to also look back at how this speech was received by its critics. For example, then-Senior White House Adviser George Stephanopoulos called it “partisan, negative and divisive.”Fast-forward 24 years to the present. Once again a prominent Republican gives a speech with themes of honor and decency and straight talk.

Perhaps this is more of the 'Special Treatment' Democrats say I am getting. In their response to our appeal, they are attempting to rewrite the facts and in fact their response is rife with inaccuracies.

Here's a man-bites-dog story: The president of Goya Foods, America's largest Latino-owned food company with $1.5 billion in sales, did something virtually every other U.S. CEO has been way too chicken to do: He praised President Trump. And for far-leftists such as Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, that was ample reason to put the successful minority-owned company out of business. Here's what the man said to merit the socialist death sentence.

It was in London that the whole Russia collusion caper began four years ago, so it seems only fitting that as the discredited probe enters its final phase that damning new evidence of the FBI’s failures would emerge back in England. This week when a British judge ruled against the former FBI human source Christopher Steele, the decision delivered more than an order for the former spy’s company to pay damages to two Russian businessmen maligned by his dossier.

After a tumultuous early spring, highlighted by a deadly Easter weekend across the South, May and June were unusually quiet for tornadoes. There was a preliminary total of 248 twisters, according to Accuweather — a combined count less than April's total of 256 and among the lowest numbers in recorded history for two of the typically most active months of the year. June was remarkably tame. The National Weather Service issued just six tornado watches in the U.S., the lowest number for any June in recorded history. Why? President Donald Trump has served notice to the World Health Organization that the U.S. will no longer take part in its kleptocratic incompetence and its cozying up to dictators and tyrants, including its biggest influencer, China. The reckoning is long overdue. So is one with the United Nations, its parent organization, whose behavior has been far worse. WHO is one of a number of global organizations, the U.N. among them, funded mainly by U.S. taxpayers. Despite its support from the U.S., WHO is yet another multilateral agency that acts as if its job is to oppose and confound America. As
